Azure rays poured into the dark, apartment room that that has leaks from the old pipes used in the building, as morning approached and the birds sung and flew across the sky.
Ferde slowly opening his eyes as the sun's beams shone on his face. His left eye pure white and pupiless glowing jn the sun meanwhile his left eye pure black and also pupiless still half closed. Sitting up in his bed and heaving a large sigh reluctantly getting out of his bed to start the day which he did not want to do.
Starting his daily routine which involved eating a slice of white bread and finishing it up with a large cup of milk to make the bread go down easier.
He went into his bathroom and changed into a black hoodie and sweatpants, when glancing over at his phone he got a message from an unsaved number but he already knew who was calling.
It was from his boss calling him into work and telling him to come as quick as possible.
Annoyed that he hadnt brushed hus teeth yet he told his boss to wait a few minutes extra. Once he was finished he put on a black jacket and rushed out of his house and ran down the street.
Turning down a dark alley with buildings lining the way an early morning moisture covering the dark silhouettes as he slipped into a building on his right and with a heave he pushed the door in and watched as the building opened up into a large room with a bar that was relatively empty with only 2 people in it. One person drinking at the bar stuttering over every word that came out of their mouth and one sitting in a corner sleeping.
Walking up to the bartender Ferde spoke:
"Lerio benrar orion" a series of words from an old tongue that Ferde had learnt over the years.
the bartender inmediately looked him up and down judging him before letting him past and into the backroom with a slight bow.
Inside the backroom was an elevator that stood directly in front of him with nothing else inside of the room except for a rat scurrying along the wall. Walking up to the elevator he pressed the call button. A bit more than 8 seconds later the door opened and he hurried inside pressing the button for floor -7.
Ferde thought that the elevator was moving slower than usual today the darkness inside the dark grey walls mixed up his senses. The door opened on floor -7 the second lowest floor and then Ferde took a left directly outside the elevator and started running at nearly top speed his body turning nearly invisible as he moved at almost the speed of light.
Ferde reaching his destination almost as instantaneously as he entered the corridor opened a door to an extremely long flight of stairs that was brightly lit and pure white. everytime Ferde came here he always thought that this amount of white and cleanliness was excessive, yet he never questioned why they chose this.
Letting out an exasperated sigh he started walking up the stairs without running. Ferde although being super fast still didnt enjoy running as fast as he could but preferred to walk and slowly at that.
Walking as fast as an average person it took him 7 minutes to reach the top where a white door stood blending into the surroundings.
Opening the door Ferde walked into a pitch black room lit up only slightly by a screen in the far corner. Going from bright pure white to dark and musty black made his eyes twitch slightly as they adjusted.
The room was incredibly large with only a desk, a chair and a computer for furniture. Ferde approaching the desk eyes still not fully adjusted could see a mans silhouette on the chair facing the screen.
This was not his first time in this situation so it gave him a sense of familiarity making him less tense when the man sitting on the chair spoke.
"Goodmorning Ferde" the man said in a low coarse voice.
"Goodmorning to you as well 'president'" Ferde said his voice with a hint of sarcasm and playfulness.
The president spun around on his chair to face the wall opposite ferde.
The president spoke once more this time his tone darker,
"Ferde I have a job for you."
"What is it this time president? Assinating some kindergartner again?" Ferde spoke these words with genuine question in his voice remembering the time he had to kill a kindergartner.
"Not at all that was a one time thing." The president said waving his hand dismissively.
"This job is rather long term you could say. You are to go undercover as a high school student at Aerin academy. Oh but of course your normal assissnations will also continue at the same time so please do not get too comfortable." The president said but it took Ferde a few seconds to process.
Once it stuck into Ferde's mind he grunted his face distorting and growing a wry smile leaving his glare undisturbed.
"Ferde, you have 5 days before you start at your new school, please use this fine to prepare. When you get home a school uniform will be waiting for you and all the textbooks and other supplies needed will be ready for you." The president said with a small smile.
Ferde gave a small nod and left leaving the man. Ferde then headed straight home and found exactly what the president said he would.
An Aerin academy uniform with its black pants and red blazer the inside a deep black with a red stripe running down the middle of each sleeve and the collar.
Ferde scoffed sitting down and drifting off into the land of dreams.
