Chapter 90 - Chapter 88: The Final Plan! The Crazed Ren Arakawa!

Chapter 88: The Final Plan! The Crazed Ren Arakawa!

In a cozy home, a drunk man was lying on the sofa, his body sank deep into the soft cushions.

One of his hands limply held a half-eaten bag of popcorn, while the other held a half-empty bottle of liquor.

Before him, the television screen flickered, displaying the final warm-up for an upcoming soccer match.

He planned to take a short nap before the game started so he could watch it with full energy.

He blinked his eyes and, with great effort, struggled to sit up from the sofa. He set an alarm, then lay back down, ready for a doze.

Just as he was about to drift off to dreamland, the image on the television suddenly changed!

The previously lively sports channel was replaced by an image: a young girl with a somewhat tense expression appeared on the screen!

Her eyes were wide, a trace of terror showing in her gaze, but she still mustered her courage and began to sing a nursery rhyme:

"One, two, Freddy's coming for you,"

"Three, four, better lock your door,"

"Five, six, grab your crucifix,"

"Seven, eight, gonna stay up late,"

"Nine, ten, never sleep again."

The melody of this children's song should have been cheerful, but sung from the little girl's mouth, it sounded exceptionally creepy.

The drunk man was startled awake by this sudden change. He frowned, feeling a wave of annoyance.

He reached out, trying to change the channel, hoping to find a normal program.

However, when he switched to the next channel, the screen still showed the same little girl, still singing that unsettling nursery rhyme.

A hint of unease welled up in the drunk man's heart!

He began to rapidly switch through the channels, but no matter which one he turned to, the little girl and her song seemed to be everywhere.

The drunk man's intoxication gradually faded, replaced by an inexplicable terror.

He glanced around. The shadows in the room seemed to have grown deeper. The light from the television screen illuminated his face, reflecting his horrified expression.

The little girl's song continued, its creepy melody echoing through the room, sending a chill down the drunk man's spine.

He didn't know that this sudden "performance" was happening in the homes of every night owl across the entire city.

The plot of *A Nightmare on Elm Street 1* takes place in the eighties.

Nightlife in that era wasn't very developed; almost everyone stayed home to watch television programs.

The scene with Freddy's terrifying nursery rhyme quickly drew the serious attention of the main network, which immediately placed a call to the Dallas city television station.

As it turned out, no one answered the phone at the TV station. The place was in a complete mess, and even the camera equipment had vanished into thin air.

On the street, Xiaoye Hui drove a car while Zhang Jie held a camera, tracking the figures of Ren Arakawa and Freddy!

Zhang Jie thought back to the insane plan Ren Arakawa had described an hour ago, and he still hadn't recovered from the shock.

Freddy was a demon from hell. The reason he existed was that people constantly believed in his existence.

Now, the entire Team China knew of Freddy's whereabouts, so they could only resort to an unorthodox method to divert the threat he posed.

Drag everyone in the city into this, and make them take the fall for Team China!

Make everyone believe in Freddy's existence. That way, even if Freddy went on an endless killing spree, it would allow Team China to hold out until the day they could return!

This was Ren Arakawa's final plan!

On the street, Ren Arakawa was fleeing for his life.

Freddy's arms had once again grown to be over three meters long.

Fortunately, the sky was still dark, so he hadn't grown any larger. But even so, with his terrifying speed and three-meter-long arms, it was still incredibly easy for Freddy to pierce Ren Arakawa's body.

Ren Arakawa's back was already a mess of mangled flesh. His entire bikaku and half of his ukaku had been sliced off.

There was nothing he could do about it.

Ren Arakawa couldn't maintain high-intensity flight with his ukaku; no matter what, he had to face Freddy's pursuit on the ground.

Freddy's ferocious and brutal side was soon broadcast by the camera in Zhang Jie's hands to the TV station, and from there, it was broadcast into thousands of homes!

In an instant, the entire city descended into chaos!

Because they discovered that the scene on their screens was so familiar.

They pushed open their windows to take a look.

Holy crap!

Isn't this a live broadcast happening right next door?!

"Wee-woo~ Wee-woo~"

Three police cars sped toward the television building.

The police officers in the cars drew their service pistols and rushed straight for the building!

The moment the officers stepped into the television building, the lights throughout the entire structure were suddenly snuffed out as if by a giant, invisible hand, plunging the surroundings into darkness.

They were startled by the sudden darkness. Their hearts pounded, and their hands subconsciously reached for the guns at their waists.

Although unease rose in their hearts, they steeled themselves and, relying on the faint light of their flashlights, advanced toward the broadcast room.

The sound of their footsteps echoed in the empty corridor, accompanied by their heavy breathing.

Suddenly, a cold glint flashed in the darkness—the reflection of light off metal.

The black female officer at the very back of the team felt a chill behind her, and her body instantly stiffened.

A dagger had silently plunged into her body. Before she could even scream, she felt a powerful hand clamp tightly over her mouth.

Her eyes shot wide open, filled with terror and despair.

She tried to struggle, but her strength was rapidly draining from her body.

Her vision blurred. She could only watch helplessly as her teammates walked around the corner of the hallway, while she herself was dragged by an irresistible force into a nearby storage closet.

In the shadows of the storage closet, her body slid limply to the floor. Her consciousness began to fade, and everything around her became distant and blurry.

After a moment, the light finally faded from her eyes. She plunged into an endless darkness, never to wake again.

The beams from the officers' flashlights danced in the corridor. They hadn't yet realized that their comrade at the rear of the formation had met with a grim fate.

Standing at the corner, Zhao Mokong wiped the blood from her dagger.

She was very grateful to Ren Arakawa for giving her such a handy weapon.

Now, it was time for her to "get to work."

On the street, Ren Arakawa ran in desperation, the sound of his footsteps echoing in the empty night.

Freddy's laughter followed him like a shadow. His figure flickered in and out of sight in the darkness, as elusive as a phantom.

Suddenly, Freddy's claws extended to an unbelievable length, piercing through the night curtain and running straight through Ren Arakawa's chest!

Ren Arakawa's body shook violently, the intense pain contorting his face.

His chest was impaled by Freddy's claws, and fresh blood instantly stained his clothes red.

At that very moment, the black tendrils of his Earth Grudge Fear drilled out of his body as if they were alive. They grew rapidly in the air, transforming into a black creature the size of a tiger, crouching on the ground!

This creature wore a blue mask on its head. It opened its mouth and unleashed Wind Release: Pressure Damage at Freddy!

A violent Wind raged around Freddy, sweeping everything nearby into a chaotic airflow.

Freddy's body swayed wildly in the wind, but he quickly stabilized himself. A ninjutsu of this level meant little to him.

Just then, Ren Arakawa endured the severe pain and formed a hand sign!

Searing flames erupted from his mouth!

"Fire Release..."

The power of the Great Fireball combined with Pressure Damage, forming a new ninjutsu!

"Combination Ninjutsu: Blazing Wind Turbulence!"

The flames, fanned by the wind, grew even more ferocious, forming a destructive firestorm that rushed straight toward Freddy!

A trace of surprise flashed in Freddy's eyes. He hadn't expected Ren Arakawa to still have the ability to counterattack like this.

The firestorm engulfed him. The high heat and strong winds ravaged his body, which writhed in agony within the flames.

Ren Arakawa panted heavily. Aided by his three-tomoe Sharingan, he could see Freddy being injured, only for his body to begin regenerating again.

This monster was incredibly hard to kill.

By now, Ren Arakawa had nearly exhausted every useful ability he had.

His chakra was completely depleted.

The shuriken in his hand were almost all gone.

His bikaku was torn off, and only half of his ukaku remained, unable to even flap.

All that was left was taijutsu.

His life, too, was about to reach its end.

Ren Arakawa watched Freddy walk out of the flames and tightened his grip on the kunai in his hand.

*Am I going to die?*

Due to excessive chakra consumption, the red in Ren Arakawa's eyes and his tomoe gradually faded.

He wanted desperately to keep his eyes open, but the pain wracking his body and the utter exhaustion forced him to close them.

Just as Ren Arakawa was about to fall...

A loud shout by his ear instantly jolted him awake!

"Captain! Don't fall asleep! Freddy has disappeared!"
