Chapter 2 - Three and four

After years of seeing her he realized she's not the same little kitten he raised not the same right years that was afraid of him even though he try his best to play with her, she's not the same girl he always tease indeed she has changed

This—a situation where he was tasked with babysitting a feisty, daring twenty-year-old who had grown into someone completely different from the sweet little girl he once knew.

Kingston's death had hit him like a thunderbolt, leaving him with a storm of questions and cracks in everything he thought he understood. In that fleeting moment when he'd been away, something had happened. Some shadow had struck, leaving a void he couldn't ignore.

Even as Kingston lay sick in the hospital, his last wish—to protect his daughter—had only confirmed Grayson's worst suspicions. Something didn't add up. Kingston had seen it coming, and now, he was gone.

Kingston knew the kind of man Grayson was—the dark, dangerous things he dealt with, the lifestyle he often complained about. Yet he had entrusted his daughter to him?

The girl seated across from him was nothing like the little angel Kingston had described. Arms wrapped around her knees, dressed in a green hoodie, her dinner untouched, she stared at him with those piercing doe-green eyes—silent, relentless, assessing.

"Do you wear glasses all the time?" Her small voice finally broke the silence.Uncle Grayson

"And what does that have to do with you?"kitten because you have grown up you think you can talk to me the way you want right

"I'm trying to start a conversation here, Mr. Harper," she said pouting and when did you start being strict with me and beside you're my guardian. I should get to know you."

Great. Grayson, what have you gotten yourself into?

"I don't like contacts. They make my eyes itch."

"So… how long have you been in contact with my father? Because I remember you leaving without saying goodbye. I didn't see you at his funeral."

Grayson's jaw tightened. He exhaled slowly. "We met some time ago. I told him not to tell anyone."

Ava tilted her head. "But you've changed… you're not like before, Uncle Grayson."

"And what do I look like now?" he asked, leaning back.

"The kind of man my father would never want me around. Dangerous. Mysterious. That's what you are now."

She was right. Even though Kingston had always talked about his daughter like she was his world since she grew up , he never mentioned her meeting Grayson after he left. But now, Grayson held something Kingston had cherished above all else.

"Eat before it gets cold, kitten."

She crooked her nose at the nickname but obeyed, letting the clink of her fork fill the silence.

 "So… have you married?"

 Grayson froze mid-bite. "No."

 Her brows arched. "Girlfriend?"

 "I don't do that."

"Oh… okay… I guess I won't have to worry about some random woman storming in and thinking we're a couple."

Grayson tsked. "Don't flatter yourself, kitten. That will never happen."

"What do you mean? That I'm not your type? Just a while ago, you threatened to tie me to a bed," she mumbled through her food. "Why don't you have one? You look like the type women would fall over for."

He paused, fork mid-air. "Kitten, do you ever shut up?"

"Not really," she shrugged. "Silence is boring. So answer my question."

He exhaled. "Why do you really want to know?"

"You're a stranger to me now. This isn't the Uncle Grayson I knew. My dad trusts you, so I want to know if I can as well. You're not in a relationship… might be a red flag."

Grayson's eyes narrowed. She was sharp—she'd noticed when he pinned her against the dresser all those years ago. One thing he didn't want: these questions turning into something more than babysitting.

So he lied I fuck off course but not to he extend of them being my girl besides I have one personal woman I fuck and in case you guys met and she try any nonsense tell me and beside you are not my type to have sex with.

Ava choked on her fork, eyes wide.

"Wait, what? Uncle Grayson why being blunt and raw

"You heard me," he said simple.End of story."

For the first time, Ava was speechless. Then a smile curled her lips. "Oh… that makes sense now. Uncle Grayson."

Carlos raised a brow. "Does it?

"Yes! The moody aura, the no-girlfriend thing," she said, pointing her fork at him. "I thought you were a bachelor with commitment issues. Turns out,it's just because you don't have a real woman.

Grayson dropped his fork and stood. "Enough talking for today."

 "Where are you going?"

 "To bed."

 "Wait!"

He almost rolled his eyes. "What?"

She hesitated, then grabbed the sleeve of his black shirt. "Can I go somewhere?"

 Grayson squinted.

"I want to visit someone," she said. "His place is nearby. I wanted to go alone, but your grumpy security wouldn't allow it. Will you tell your driver to take me?"

 "Who is it?"

 "Alex. My boyfriend."

 "Boyfriend? You have a boyfriend?"

"Yes. He's the sweetest. My dad never liked him, but… he is."

Grayson stayed silent the rest of the ride as Ava rehearsed her words, heart hammering.

Finally, the car stopped in front of a one-story building, lights and music spilling out.

"You have an hour," Grayson said.

 "What? That's too short."

"If you're not out in an hour, I'll burst through those doors."

Ava rolled her eyes. "You shouldn't have come."

"Are you sure you want to go in?" he asked, serious.

"Mr. Harper. You promised not to interfere."

She stepped out, boots thudding, nerves racing.

Inside, the music, the smell of alcohol, and the press of bodies made her stomach twist. She didn't belong here. None of the people looked familiar.

"Who the fuck are you?" a glitter-covered girl demanded, glaring at her.

"I'm here to see Alex," Ava said.

"He's upstairs. Last room on your left," the girl said before strutting away.

Ava hesitated, then headed upstairs. Her hand paused at the door—then she froze.

Moans. Grunts. The unmistakable sound of intimacy.

Her stomach churned. But she had to see him. She knocked lightly.

She checked the room,it was indeed the last room on the left could that girl have lied to her.

But still,in the depth of her,she wanted to open this door they male voice sound familiar even as she try to deny it.

Ava reach for the knob,if she's about to intrude someone privacy then she will just act like she's drunk and lie about finding something.

No she should leave Alex won't be there he can't be.

Then came a screamed behind the door

Oh yes! I'm going cum Alex faster baby yeah harder give me more

Ava push the door opened and right before her was a blonde hair on all fours with Alex the man she loved for two years screawing the shit out of the blonde

Urgh fuck you are so tight he said holding her ass so tight his finger almost dug in her skin and his other hand holding her hair so tightly as if wanting to rib it out.

Ava won't think, couldn't speak an couldn't feel. This kind of betrayal that would send every nerve into something else before gradually burning she felt it everywhere in her soul it hurts like hell.

They both groaned out in release,Alex throw his head backwards then kisses her mouth afterwards,a long hard after sex kiss their tongue tangled into each other and fought for dominance as if they wanted to do it again and shattered her she didn't know when she start making sound when she wanted to leave and that make Alex to notice her.

Alex's face drained as he saw her.

 "Ava?"

She stumbled forward, tears streaming, breath ragged. The world she had known with him felt shattered.

"I… I thought we were over," he said, panicked.

"You left without saying anything! And now… this?!" Her voice cracked. "It's over, Alex! We're done!"

"But it's your fault too!" he yelled. "You never gave me what I wanted!"

Ava's chest heaved. "My father died two weeks ago, and this… this is what you say?"

He froze. "Your father… what happened?"

 She didn't answer.

Grayson's voice cut through the tension, calm and smooth:

"Hop in, kitten. Let's go home."
