Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3

"Enough, I won't ask anymore. Just tell me everything I need to know."

– Affirmative. Every female host that the system meets will be evaluated from low E-Class up to high S-Class. The same goes for the rewards: the lower the class, the smaller the chance of receiving a good reward; the higher the class, the greater the chance of obtaining godly rewards.

– Rewards vary — they can be items, talents, assets, or even summoned beings.

– The host can earn more rewards by performing intimate acts with the target. However, it still depends on class — low-class targets yield low chances of good rewards.

"Hmm, so what do you think about this normal talent I got? Is this considered a good reward?"

– Affirmative. A talent like this is rare to acquire, especially when the target is of a low class. The system considers the host very fortunate to have received it.

"This is too good to be true. I can't believe it. So, tell me the truth — what's the condition behind all of this?"

For a while, his mind went silent. All this time, while talking, he hadn't done anything suspicious — just stared blankly at the whiteboard, looking uninterested. He rested his chin on his arms.

After a short silence, the System spoke again.

– The system also gains rewards whenever the host or the host's partner experiences satisfaction. This makes me stronger, more intelligent, and more resilient against beings that can consume our kind.

"So, you're basically a parasite, huh? Interesting. And to think that there are beings out there that can consume you. You also mentioned 'your kind' — so you're not the only one?"

– Affirmative. The system became a power sought by many beings. However, we are also a delicacy for certain special entities. As I said earlier, I was born from the collective thoughts of various beings across the universe — that's how something like me came into existence.

"Everything about this — from the rewards to the structure — is amazing. If I were still a man, I'd kneel before my ancestors in gratitude for their good deeds. But the problem is, I'm a woman now, and I have no desire to chase after girls. Just the thought of holding their hands disgusts me. But could that change if you altered the gender system?"

He was genuinely curious and hoped it could grant his wish — if the system could change its target, his dream of a harem of boys might become real. Still, he remained skeptical.

– Unfortunately, the system cannot change anything related to its core. My concept was born from the collective thoughts and desires of beings wishing for a system that helps them pursue girls with ease. If I change that, my core — the source of my existence — would be permanently damaged, and I might cease to exist.

"Well, that's unfortunate. The chances of me being with women are nearly zero."After hearing that, he wasn't surprised — the logic made sense if you just listened carefully.

"Interesting, but chasing girls isn't my thing. Maybe you'll just stay inside me until I die. That'll take patience — but I doubt a system like you has much of that. Anyway, welcome, I guess you'll be my companion till death."

As the bell rang, signaling the end of class and the start of break time, the teacher began to leave. Two hours had passed in what felt like a blink. Maybe that's what people mean when they say time flies when something captures your interest.

He prepared to enjoy a peaceful stroll, maybe even clear his mind by walking around the field. Talking to a voice inside his head made him feel insane — and he didn't want to be more abnormal than he already was.

But before he could relax, the System spoke again — causing Kurt to nearly stumble as he walked down the stadium steps.

– The system forgot to mention: I need to feed. If the host fails to obtain more rewards, both the system and the host will die.

"Wait, what? I can die just because I don't want to participate in this nonsense? Explain that better."

– Affirmative. The system was created as a by-product of thoughts. One of the main factors in our creation is obtaining the universe's approval. We receive rewards directly from the universe.

"So… is the universe a living being?"

– Negative. The universe is not alive.

"Let's stop here. I'll get a headache if I keep talking to you."

– Affirmative.

Kurt stood still as his classmates left the room cheerfully.

He was trapped in a dilemma — his rational mind told him that chasing girls wasn't so bad since he was originally a man. But his heart said otherwise — he was content being her, as Curtis Russell.

His logic and emotions clashed without end. Either he'd return to being a man or die as a woman — there seemed to be no middle ground. He sighed in exhaustion.

Suddenly, a gentle pat on his back broke his thoughts. It was his seatmate, Debra — a petite blonde who had been sitting beside him for about a month. She seemed kind-hearted… though a bit naive.

"Are you okay, Kurt? You're acting weird today. Are you sick?" she asked.

He rolled his eyes. "Whatever. I'll take it slow today. Come on, girl, what do you want? I'll pay for you."

He sounded drained — all he wanted was a peaceful break and time to think.

"Woohoo, that's new! Why are you paying for her, Kurt?"Another voice chimed in out of nowhere.

Debra nearly jumped out of her skin when a small girl suddenly appeared beside them. When she turned, she saw Kurt's childhood friend — and patted her chest, trying to calm her racing heart.

"Why do you always sneak up on me like that, huh? Are you targeting me?" Debra snapped, clearly frustrated by all the pranks the girl had pulled since the day she sat beside Kurt.

She tried to stay calm by taking a deep breath and thinking positive thoughts.

Kurt rubbed his temple, feeling a headache coming. That troublemaker — Andria — had appeared again. His break was ruined. He wasn't in the mood to babysit someone his age.

He decided to find an excuse to escape.

"Girls, I'm heading to the infirmary. Not feeling well today. Gotta go — babush!" he said quickly, walking off before Andria could follow.

Once he turned the corner, he started running. After circling the area a few times, he finally lost her. Catching his breath, he climbed the stairs and reached the top floor, only to find the door locked. With a bit of tinkering, he managed to open it.

The rooftop was off-limits because of past suicide incidents — the school didn't want rumors spreading that it had a bad environment. But Kurt didn't care. He just wanted a quiet place to think.

He broke the chains, stepped out, and found a shaded spot. Lying down, he stared at the open sky.

He chewed on some bread he'd bought earlier. He never liked thinking on an empty stomach.

Earlier, when Andria appeared, he'd noticed something flash before his eyes:

– Target Found– Evaluating: D-Class– Reward: Bottle Flip Mastery

Seeing that, his mood plummeted."Seriously? Bottle flip mastery? What am I supposed to do with that — entertain kids?"
