After scaring off the three thugs, Satou Kazuma and Aqua went to the street corner from before, sat on the ground, and waited for Natsuki Subaru to arrive.
The wait was a bit boring, so Kazuma and Aqua started chatting.
"Useless goddess, that resurrection spell of yours probably only works on me, right?"
"Huh? How did you know?"
"I didn't even need to guess."
A speechless expression appeared on Kazuma's face.
After all, Aqua had lost her believers and, with them, most of her goddess powers. Even basic healing magic didn't work.
That resurrection spell from before wasn't magic at all!
"Hey, hey! Don't look down on me! As a goddess, in my prime, I could save someone even if they were on the brink of death!"
Aqua, looking unconvinced, said to Kazuma seriously, "It's all because we somehow ended up in this world with zero believers! This just proves this world is super backward! They haven't even heard of my great name! Seriously! Wait... no! Kazuma, don't tell me... you're not my believer either, are you!?"
"Ah, yeah, I am."
Kazuma said, turning his head to the side, pretending he didn't know anything.
If he hadn't met her in the afterlife, Kazuma would find it impossible to believe the person in front of him was a goddess.
"Kazuma! Why don't you believe me! Ahhh!"
Just as Aqua was grabbing Kazuma's shoulders and shaking him wildly, a familiar figure flashed past.
Felt.
"Wait! Felt!"
Kazuma subconsciously called out Felt's name. Hearing her name, she stopped.
"Who are you? Do I know you?"
Felt frowned, looking at Kazuma warily.
"Uh... you don't remember me?"
A stiff smile appeared on Kazuma's face as he scratched his head, his mind racing.
Wait a minute...
The root cause of this whole incident seems to be Elsa hiring Felt to steal that insignia.
Is that insignia special in some way?
But if I can get that insignia ahead of time, can't I prevent this whole incident from happening?
"You're weird. I'm in a hurry, don't bother me!"
Felt said impatiently and immediately took off.
But Kazuma stretched his hand out toward her and activated his 'Steal' ability again.
The last time he had accidentally used this skill on Felt, he stole her panties and got a beating.
Kazuma did not want a repeat of that.

"This is the insignia Subaru was trying to get back. It belongs to that girl, Satella."
Kazuma sighed at Aqua's tragic memory, then lowered his head to stare at the insignia.
Since arriving, Kazuma had been observing the city's details and had seen dragon-shaped patterns and statues in many places.
Coupled with his earlier investigation, Kazuma already knew that this country, Lugnica, had a covenant with a Divine Dragon.
This insignia looked valuable, and the dragon motif on it was exquisite.
This was not something an ordinary person would possess. That girl, Satella, definitely had an extraordinary identity, or was at least a noble.
But why would Elsa specifically hire Felt to steal this insignia?
If it was just for money, stealing other jewelry would be a better choice.
And if "Satella" truly had a high status, she probably wouldn't care too much about losing a single insignia.
Without a doubt, this insignia had a very special meaning.
Kazuma explained his deductions one by one. Aqua, listening beside him, still looked completely lost.

Natsuki Subaru.

He had just seen "Satella" again—but when he excitedly called out her name, she had flown into a rage and even suspected him of being Felt's accomplice.
