Chapter 95 - Chapter Ninety Five

I folded the last dress and placed it gently into the suitcase. I didn't rush trying to wrap things up. I wanted to make sure I didn't forget anything important.

Not because I planned to come back soon, but because I didn't want any excuse to return. My heart was still racing from Damien's visit. 

Earlier that morning, a small part of me had wondered if I should give Damien another chance. Just a small thought. But after his visit, after the way he spoke to me in my own house, that thought died completely.

Whatever hope I had left cracked and fell apart.

I zipped the suitcase shut and sat on the edge of the bed for a moment. The room felt too quiet, a part of me started wondering if it was always this quiet or it only just got louder because Damien had been here a few minutes ago.

I didn't know when or why tears almost filled my eyes. Why me? What did I do to deserve this? 

When Damien asked me if I had feelings for Pedro, it was like a huge slap on my face.
