Chapter 21 - Berserker!

Time passed quickly while Dylan continued his journey into the Darknot world slaying monsters and beasts of various kinds, fighting against some creatures that made him on the brink of death many times, but he didn't give up and continued fighting and slaying.

He already moved to a different weapon after mastering the daggers and sword, but still used them in fights, so to not get rusty and try to advance further into the new realm of swordsmanship.

Anyway, he is currently using the gauntlets and learning many deadly martial arts to make the best out of them.

The energetic demoness inside him helped in learning how to use the gauntlets better along with his body turning him into a living walking weapon that with each punch, he could obliterate the monsters's heads and bodies making a bloody mess in his wake with flesh and brain matters scattered around casting a very disturbing yet disgusting scene that many would vomit on sight.

And along the way he absorbed more souls and got a lot stronger and faster and although it was hard at first, he managed to advance quite fast in using the gauntlets better.

When summoning them, his hands along with the wrists would be enveloped in a dangerously yet majestic looking gauntlets. They appear to be made of blackened, obsidian-like metal, heavily jagged and angular, with sharp, claw-like fingers. The surface of the gauntlets is cracked and scorched, as if forged in extreme heat. From within these cracks and from a large, diamond-shaped core on the back of each gauntlet, a molten orange glow shines through—resembling flowing lava or magical fire trapped beneath.

Also, his legs till the knee were enveloped in the same thing except for the diamond-shaped core, there were just cracks filled with scorched lava underneath.

The gauntlets radiated a heat that seemed to vaporize any liquid around Dylan's body, as if it was forming a passive protection around his body. He felt normal and wasn't affected by such heat but to those around him, they could feel how hot the air around him was.

They gave him a boost in strength, speed and agility, making him a force to be reckoned with.

And with how quickly he was grasping and understanding the moves, he was like a true alpha monster to those against him, he moved with incredible speed and precision striking the first monster insight and immediately blowing up its head with just a single punch before with a spinning kick, he cut another monster in half.

His attacks contained incredible power and sharpness that made those in front of him crumble and shiver in fear.

"HERE WE GO FELLAS!" Dylan shouted with excitement etched on his face as he displayed a toothy grin before moving toward the group of orcs that had bulging muscles and strength beyond those he had killed before.

Their skin was green with some tribal tattoos on them and along with their menacing glowing red eyes, they charged at Dylan with their heavy weapons intending to crush and turn him into a minced meat.

But Dylan with his quick reflexes, dodged in time before delivering a powerful kick to the orc's solar plexus sending him flying back and crushing into a large rock breaking it into two. The other orcs who saw this became so angry that they roared loudly before moving toward Dylan with shocking speed that made him slightly surprised considering that orcs were of strength type monsters, but anyway, it wouldn't change the outcome.

As Dylan dodged the first one who attacked him with a giant axe vertically aiming to cut him in two.

BAAAM!!!

CRACKS!

The axe hit the ground breaking it and making several cracks spread across it before Dylan gave a roundhouse kick to his face break the jaw along with the nose immediately.

Then ending it with an axe kick that broke his skull and scattered brain matters on the ground and staining Dylan's feet and legs as well.

CLANG!

He didn't have time to think before rising his arm to block an attack that came at him from his left. The attacker was another orc with great sword that looked heavy but light in the orc's hands.

The orc showed a shocked face to this before Dylan pushed the great sword aside then punched him in the stomach so hard sending him flying back breaking several trees along the way until he came to a stop.

His stomach had a dent in the shape of a fist, a clear mark of how powerful that punch was.

Dylan ginned more before he moved to another orc with incredible yet blinding speed leaving a trail of heat in his wake that seemed to make the air distort. He appeared in front of the orc before penetrating its chest with his claws like fingers and grabbed his heart out, making the orc so shocked with blood gushing and flowing from his mouth and nose, Dylan licked his lips before crushing the beating heart in his hand while looking at the fallen orc.

"HAHAHA THAT'S FUN!" He laughed like a maniac before moving and killing every orc in front him with ferocity and hunger. Every punch radiated a heat that seemed to melt the bones and flesh which made it more dangerous to his opponents.

This was all passive, something that came with just wearing them, but if Dylan could display techniques related to them, he would burn the whole area around with just a simple punch.

The same thing was every weapon he had, he just needed mana to be able to use them and bring their powers out, showing the world how dangerous they could be.

An hour later, Dylan stood in the middle of scattered body parts, blood, flesh and corpses while panting heavily, his face stained with blood along with his clothes while his silver eyes had a red hue to them making him look so deadly.

He had just slaughtered a whole village of orcs in a matter of an hour which could be a very great achievement if done back in his world, but here, nobody cared. It was all for survival.

Anyway, after taking some deep breaths to calm his beating heart, he suddenly felt a great feeling of dread that the hair on the back of his head stiffened.

His instincts screamed while the feeling of death and dread still lingered in the air and seemed to be increasing with each passing second before he heard it.

The sound of steps coming from behind him, they were heavy sending a feeling of heaviness in his heart.

Dylan looked back to see a big two-meter tall monster with bulging muscles and long curly and dirty black hair, red glowing eyes looking around at the body parts and the gore scene that was caused by Dylan.

The monster had a dark reddish skin that looked so hot when looking at it with the muscles underneath contorting in a very eerie way.

He held a great sword with serrate blade giving off a feeling of extreme sharpness and blood.

As the monster looked around, his eyes suddenly landed on the Dylan who stood looking at him before his brows furrowed in a deep seething anger as his grip on the sword suddenly tightened before a very loud and furious roar was released from him making Dylan feel his ear drums being torn while his body instinctively stiffened as a reaction.

ROOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRR!!!

The roar itself sent a shock wave to his surroundings making the deformed corpses around him scatter away.

But Dylan who was standing looking at the monster in front of him was having different thought.

He seemed to remember something similar to the monster in front of him from his old world.

'Yeah, no doubt, it's Berserker!'
