Chapter 73 - Chapter 73 – Return to Base

Once the glasses were empty the friends parted ways for the night. Lana and the girls were the next to last to leave. Each had a male insist on escorting them back to their rooms for safety. Layla and Kattie returned the jewelry before splitting ways. Lana just shook her head but she did understand. Handling expensive things was no joke. Quinn escorted Layla, Dobin and Almin escorted Kattie, and Vorden escorted Lana. When they got back to their room, Sil helped Lana out of her dress allowing Caser to balance on her shoulder without concern. Lana then expressed the desire to wear the one last dress for him so she took it to the bathroom while he took her dresses and packed them up. Not carrying any food back gave her room in her bag for the return but she had two new pairs of boots and the jewelry. He made sure to pack lightly. At the very least the dresses she wore just for him, should be in his stuff so her brother and friends would not find them. He took off his uniform and laundered it as well as hers so they would be ready for morning and their packing would be done except the kitchen.

Sil's eyes grew with desire once more when his beloved emerged from the bathroom. This dress had a low-cut top with an open stomach. The breasts were halfway covered at a diagonal from the lower middle of her breasts to the normal place a bra strap would be. The top part was attached to the skirt on the sides which was mid-thigh length. Caser was sitting on her head with his tentacles around her chin like a hat, paws dangling with his tummy against her head.

Sil couldn't wait to open his present, very slowly, of course. He tantalized her after laying her on the bed. He positioned his body between her legs and gazed into her eyes. "I promise you to never share my seed with another as long as this body belongs to me. I promise to never give my love or thoughts to another as long as I live. I never want to be without you. I am yours, Lana Plantwell, from this day forward. Always and forever. This I vow." He then pulled a ring out from under the pillow and went to put it on her waiting for a response.

She giggled, "I never thought there could be someone like you. I vow to you that no man will touch me. I'll do everything in my power to make sure none see me as well. My heart, my body and my soul belong to you, Sil Blade, always and forever. This I vow." She then nodded and allowed him to put the ring on her. She didn't even look at it. She simply kissed him with all the passion in her being and he returned it just as intensely.

They stayed in bed late the next day, sending messages to their friends they would catch up with them at noon. While packing was easy, leaving such intimate company when not knowing when it would happen again was not. For five days the two had known ultimate peace while alone together. Lana didn't have a single nightmare. She slept so well in his tender embrace. Sil didn't feel threatened in any way occupying his body and was able to explore more of the adult feelings, thoughts and expressions he was having. He discussed things like having a future, which, like Lana, he never thought he could have. Raten and Vorden were yelling cautious words at him the whole time but still. He wanted to entertain the notion. The "what if". It was easy to think such thoughts away from the island, the paradise of hell. With her at his side, he thought maybe there was a chance.

Breakfast and lunch eaten just the two of them, they decided it was time to join their friends.

Lana didn't care about the rest of the event. She read her book for the rest of the day, even taking notes at the things which needed further exploring or may help in use of her ability. There was cheering around her but she stayed firm in her seat. Caser was quite happy to sit still as well. It was quite the busy week of getting his sleep disturbed way too much. There was some ceremony at the end but it still seemed unimportant. The next two months were very important. Getting a head start would ease the schedule and maybe win her some time with Sil. Summer plans were still up in the air as well. What were his plans?

Back at Military Base 2, it was late and the students were told to head to their dorms. Tomorrow was the weekend so they had two days off before classes started back up. Lana retrieved her things that she stashed in Logan's room in case anyone decided to check her room out in her absence. She made herself a salad, did her meditations, fed Caser and went to bed.

The next morning, they all had breakfast in the canteen as usual then went to the agricultural area and put the dome back up. Logan had made the suggested changes. There was now a back door to add on a laboratory once Logan had it created. The team all unpacked their things into their drawers. They would be staying here for the next month and documenting the experience.

At noon, Lana had someplace she needed to be so she headed to the student market. While at the tournament she was buying beast gear for her team, she couldn't use it but then she met Mona Bree. She realized Mona didn't wear beast gear either but always wore what appeared to be the same dress. Was it the same dress or was it armor that looked like a dress? She aimed to ask a few questions.

In the market, she was looking for the stalls of the seamstresses. There were a few as well as customers looking at their fashion designs. She was looking at the designer, not the designs. She had chosen Alex Way because his stuff looked nice. When she met him, he had a lot of white energy. The team then praised him for his work. This made Lana want to find the same in a seamstress.

She found one, oddly right next to Alex's stall. This girl looked rather plain which was a bonus to Lana. It means the idiots would never give her a chance.

"Excuse me, do you make custom clothes out of beast crystals? I'm looking for the protection of armor but I need the flexibility of clothing. Armor is too bulky." Lana handed the girl a few thoughts and designs she had in her head. "Two pants outfits, one with a jacket, and one dress."

The girl looked at the thoughts drawn on Lana's tablet and Lana, "Hi, I'm Dilly Threadbare. This looks pretty simple to do. Are you looking for it in intermediate crystals?"

Lana nodded, "For now, yes. I sold all the crystals I had thinking I didn't need them. Can I give you credits to buy what is needed?"

"Of course, it will be a month for these and I will need your measurements."

"I'm Lana Plantwell, by the way, and that sounds good. I'm thinking about joining a faction for the summer to gain some practical experience so I will need these before then."

As Dilly was taking her measurements she chuckled, "I can't imagine why anyone would want to fight beasts. Clothing is the life! Oh, I should ask, what colors do you like and what attributes other than defense are you looking for?"

"I like blue, some reds and pinks, black would be useful if it's a night thing. A way to have light so that I don't have to hold it would be perfect. Elemental protection if possible, speed, of course. I honestly don't know what I'll be facing. I faced fire snakes on Caladi and we almost got cooked. Maybe something that helps me dodge?"

By the time Lana got done speaking, Dilly was done measuring. Dilly held out her watch, "90,000 credits please."

Lana passed it over without batting an eye.

They then exchanged contact information so they could meet once the order was done.

Lana returned to the dome with a huge smile on her face. She was going to be a matriarch some day just like Mona Bree and this was just some of those first steps.
