In the castle, Quinn and Peter were under attack by a strange mist after hearing the front door open and close. A voice had told them they were in the10th domain and they should leave. Peter attacked the mist. Quinn needed to jump in. Peter tried to help him then the system said this was the man they needed to talk to.
The system told him to say the words "Halt, Vampire Knight of the 10th family, Edward Eno. I have been asked to come here by your past leader Vincent Eno. The new 10th leader has returned." Quinn was taken aback at the name Eno because he and Logan were looking for Richard Eno, famous inventor, the one who created his system.
Edward told Quinn he needed to do more than that, so the system told Quinn some personal information about a woman he tried to date three times and failed each time. Edward accepted he was authentic then asked a bunch of questions about Vincent. Quinn answered with a bunch of his own. Vincent had gone to the human world and at some point the light went out indicating he had died. No successor was appointed. The family fell into ruin without a leader.
Quinn was taken to the throne room which Vincent loved. He had a wall replaced with glass so he could watch his people. Quinn realized it was beautiful. Edward asked who the new leader was. Edward was shocked Quinn said, "me".

The others started walking a bit faster due to Timmy's excitement. Timmy didn't know he was leading the way. Cia was practically hanging all over Layla who was getting annoyed. Lana was happy it was Layla and not her man. Layla was getting worried that Cia was dependent on her for removing the emotions but was also worried about why they were so bad.
Timmy seemed to be heading for the castle so Vorden was happy about that. They were worried he would lead them to his own house.
Outside the walls to the inner area, there were two guards posted. The group stopped but Timmy kept going. Timmy urged them on, having permission from the former knight to access the area.
On the way, Timmy explained the knight had no issues with the pooling people having access because of there not being a family ability. It made sense for the others but the 10th leader was the only one who ever had the family ability. They went to the knight's house and Timmy knocked on the door. It was then Logan got a call from Quinn to come to the castle.

Inside the throne room, Quinn and Edward were talking about him being leader and whether he had the ability of equivalent exchange as was the 10th ability. This was an ability that made the user able to create anything as long as they had an idea how it worked and the materials to make it. It was because of the strength of the ability that only the leader and their successor were allowed to have it.
Finally, Quinn dropped the bombshell he was there to save Fex. It was then Edward smiled because this kid was as crazy as his former leader. He informed Quinn he needed to get stronger and would he be willing to allow him, Edward, to train him. Quinn grinned. "Of course."
Edward took Quinn and Peter on a tour of the castle. He was embarrassed at the state of things. Dust was everywhere, rooms were empty, the castle was in disrepair. They were also shown Vincent's research room and the library. They then headed to the biggest place in the castle to conduct training which was just inside the castle, near the door called the reception area.

Timmy was apprehensive about going to the castle because no one was allowed in there but excited as well. Once they got to the door, he paused before knocking. He called out to Edward. Edward was getting ready to tell him to go away when Quinn told him to let them in, his friends were with him.
Quinn was happy to see his friends. Vorden walked up to him and put his arm round Quinn's head and said he had things to tell him and asked if he got taller and more handsome as he looked at Layla. Layla's face turned red but she couldn't help but look.
Logan apologized to Peter for not helping him get out of the dungeon. Lana chimed in there as well. "I'm sorry I couldn't bring you with me. Your harsh words of wisdom saved my life that day. I needed to see that you were saved. Have they treated you okay? It wasn't too harsh?"
"They actually didn't do anything to me. They wanted to know what family I was from. I think they were afraid of offending another family."
Lana nodded with a bright smile on her face. "Good!"
Cia looked at Quinn and demanded to know if he wiped her memories. Quinn felt guilty every time he looked at her so he told her the truth. She then broke down in tears. Quinn then left it to Layla to explain it to her. Edward and Timmy were confused. The humans still smelled like vampires. The idea that a vampire wiped another vampire's memories was strange to him.
Cia started screaming "no" over and over. Peter offered to shut her up in Peter fashion. Layla tried to get close but Cia threw her arm off saying she couldn't trust her. Layla consumed the dark smog of negativity to the point Cia passed out. Lana wasn't phased a bit. This person was punished for her bad behavior, she was now reaping the rewards of that. She truly did hope that once Cia learned about the past she could find it in herself to be a better person.
The amount of energy she generated caused Layla to evolve into one if her other forms. Her horns grew as did her fangs. She ended up in Chunari form. Vorden looked at her taller form. He decided if you took away the tusks and horns, she was beautiful.
Lana always thought she was beautiful. She was now wondering what her other form looked like. Quinn didn't know what perfection he had in front of him waiting for him. She hoped he'd wake up to it soon. Layla deserved happy.
Timmy told her she looked cool. Layla smiled at the compliment. Edward was wondering how many surprises this boy had. Edward then asked him who these people were and if they were there for the same purpose. Timmy was shocked Edward didn't know them either. In a couple of minutes, the spray wore off.

The spies Bryce had stationed at the tenth castle then reported back the increase of five vampires entering the castle area.

Timmy had never smelled human before and started to go vampire mode, heading toward Vorden's neck, who was the closest human to him but Edward got him under control. Children were not taught to control their urges. It was really only a requirement for those going to the human world.
Edward explained this to the humans after using his influence skill on Timmy. They all then realized what would have happened if Xander had managed to draw blood from Vorden.
Quinn verified Timmy was trustworthy then they all went to the dining room to talk. Layla took Cia to a room upstairs. In her new form, she was strong enough to carry the sleeping girl. When she woke up, Layla told her everything about herself as well as everything she knew about Cia. Especially since they were connected through Pure.
In the dining room, Vorden and Logan shared what happened at school and where they arrived on the vampire planet. Lana did not join in, just listened as she didn't know everything either. She knew what the trees told her but much of the conversations at school took place in their rooms so the trees didn't hear those. The only reason she was able to hear the trees in the rooms was because of her connection to them.
Edward was hoping since Silver went to the school to talk to Quinn, she'd join them in the fight to save Fex. Timmy was surprised Edward would go so far to help these guys, asking who they were.
Quinn then told the group his whole story. This was Lana's first time hearing it so she listened closely. She had always wondered how that first bite in the library happened. Timmy was shocked there was a new tenth leader and couldn't stop staring at Quinn.
Hearing he was the leader, Lana got an idea. She got a pad of paper from her bag and wrote a quick note, went to Edward and showed him then Edward nodded not wanting to miss any of Quinn's story. Lana smiled brightly and returned to her seat next to Vorden. Caser came down from his perch to get a hug and pettings.
Once the stories were complete, Edward informed them it was training time. He opened it to everyone. Logan declined and went to the lab. Vorden followed leaving Quinn, Peter, Lana and Timmy in the room. Lana didn't want to go to the lab and it was strange Vorden did but she stopped him in the hall and asked him a quick question. He nodded and smiled then went off to follow Logan.
She returned to the others. "Quinn, can I borrow your back yard for my training? I can also grow food for us while I'm at it."
Quinn looked to Edward who looked confused but decided to roll with it and nodded. Quinn then gave her permission. She also asked him to step aside for a second so she could ask him something else. The others headed to the reception area and she asked the question. He raised an eyebrow, "now?" She nodded with a smile.
