Chapter 84: A Battle Unparalleled in the Current Era, Tsukasa Kaede Intervenes
Honestly, Tsukasa Kaede himself hadn't expected things to gradually escalate to this point.
In the beginning, all of this was just Danzo sending him to the Land of Rain to execute a mission to find Jiraiya.

Soon after, a Pitcher Plant emerged nearby, and Black Zetsu and White Zetsu also appeared.
"Huh? That guy was just here a moment ago, how did he suddenly vanish? Did he run off early?" White Zetsu looked around. "He's really cautious. I wanted to ask him about that old lady."

With the Tailed Beast Bomb's threat neutralized, Madara immediately deactivated his Susanoo. Even with Tobi enhancing his body, using Mangekyo-level Dojutsu with his Three-Tomoe Sharingan was still a burden for him.
"Still, I'm too old. If I were in my prime, even without my eyes, I could casually use Susanoo to slay that beast."
Madara closed his eyes, then opened them again. In the Nine-Tails' vision, three Tomoe spun and spread, projecting towards its location.
"Don't think you can control me with Genjutsu again!!" The Nine-Tails instinctively struggled, its chains rattling and clanking.
Mito Uzumaki stood atop the Nine-Tails' head. With a single stomp, she made the Nine-Tails break free from the Genjutsu.

The Nine-Tails didn't want to do this. It wanted to create more Tailed Beast Bombs to barrage Madara from a distance. After all, it had plenty of Chakra. It refused to believe that Madara in his current state could have infinite Chakra to withstand its every attack!
Mito Uzumaki extended a hand and clenched one of the many chains extending from her abdomen. With a fierce tug, the Nine-Tails shrieked and, head tilted, was forced to charge towards Madara.
Madara watched all of this unfold.
"While I cannot use powerful Dojutsu, Mito doesn't have the time to wear me down either. In her current state, she can't control the Nine-Tails in prolonged combat."
Madara understood Mito's condition at a glance. She was in the twilight of her life, after all. No matter how fierce her display, she no longer possessed the ability for prolonged, high-intensity combat.
"Very well, then let me show you this... Wood Release: Deep Forest Emergence!"
An endless, lush forest erupted violently from the earth. Countless thick trees tightly bound the Nine-Tails.
The Nine-Tails lashed out with its claws and tails. No matter how much it destroyed, more new trees immediately surged forth, like an endless tide.
