Chapter 58 - Abduction

"Ms. Viola."

"What is it, Thank You?"

"I… I want to do something for Miss Rivera."

"Hm."

"I don't think I'm like her, but… I'm sure she's hurting too."

On the way back from Rudolf's office, Thank You shared her thoughts.

Something about Rivera had struck a chord with her.

"Well then, let's talk to her again… But I can't do what I can't do."

If Rivera was aiming to become the second Rudolf or Ramonu, that was impossible.

Even with their bloodline, talent doesn't simply add up. Both legends maintained their strength through a miraculous balance—something Rivera didn't seem to possess.

Still, I didn't know what she truly wanted. Maybe I needed to shift my perspective.

"But how do we even get her to come back?"

I realized we hadn't exchanged contact info. And as upperclassmen, barging into a first-year classroom wasn't exactly simple.

"Rice, any ideas?"

Rice-chan lit up.

"No, this is definitely a bad idea."

Rice-chan had prepared a bag, sunglasses, and masks for each of us.

Her plan? Kidnap Rivera while disguised as suspicious strangers.

"But with this, Rice and the others won't be recognized!"

"No, you'll absolutely be recognized."

Thank You might pass unnoticed—her features are subtle. But Rice-chan? Her iconic hat and blue rose hair ornament were in full view. And me? Purple hair isn't exactly common.

"It's okay. Because we have sunglasses."

"What's with your blind faith in sunglasses?!"

Rice refused to back down.

And so, the three of us—masked and disguised—entered Rivera's classroom.

The room buzzed with confusion. If we weren't in uniform, Tazuna-san would've been summoned immediately.

We approached Rivera's desk.

"Um… Viola-san, Rice-san, Thank You-san… What's going on?"

Rivera looked terrified.

Understandably so. We looked like a trio of cartoon burglars.

But we'd come this far. No turning back.

"Wow!"

I threw the bag over Rivera and scooped her up.

And just like that, we abducted her to the trainer room.
