The axe and sword collided again.The sound was deafening. Light and lightning exploded outward in a brilliant flash. A shockwave rolled across the wall like a physical wave. Stone cracked beneath their feet. Dust and snow flew into the air.
Both Aldrich and Bjorn were thrown backward by the force. Their feet slid across the stone. Sparks flew where their boots scraped the ground.They stopped and were 20 feet apart.
Then charged again immediately.Bjorn swung his axe in a wide horizontal arc. Lightning crackled along the blade. The air screamed as the weapon cut through it.Aldrich ducked low. The axe passed over his head. He felt the heat from the lightning. Smelled burning ozone.
He came up fast. Slashed upward with his light sword. Aimed at Bjorn's exposed chest.Bjorn was fast. He brought the axe handle down. Blocked the sword. The impact sent sparks flying. Light and lightning mixed together where the weapons met.
