Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The daily life

Returning to his home, he set aside his coat and laid on his bed while absent mindedly scrolling through his system log.

It's been a month since his transmigration, at first, he appeared in this empty house with a lot of unanswered questions. After gaining more courage he stepped outside and asked around.

After some digging around, he found that all of his neighbors believed that he always lived in this house and it was an inheritance from his late parents.

Glancing at the mirror, he re-examined himself, hmm, it is indeed himself.

Ruling out the possibility of him possessing someone else, phew at least he didn't have to bear acting as somebody else, it only left him with one option.

A damn God is playing with him. Who else has the balls and power to transport someone from another world into here without any reason.

In a generic trope, he'll be the protagonist summoned into another world to cleansed the world of the "black tide" or the "greatest evil" but no. Just plop em down in Laofu and watch the little guy go, you know.

In a month of him being here, he decided to read up on some lore of this world, and discovered a lot.

First was there is alot of gods, and not some religion where they devote themself on a scripture, real, and alive gods.

Each hold a domain of their own, Nanook the Destruction, Aha the Elation, Etc.

Especially Aha, he paid close attention to him after reading up on what he did, Qin Shaoqing suspected it was Aha who dragged him into this world.

But what can a human's complain do when a god is toying with them, you'll never hear an ant's complain when you stomp on their home, and similarly his whining probably won't reach Aha.

Another thing is that, physics is a lot weirder in here, there is boats that fly on the sky called star-skiff, people conjuring fire and ice like its nothing.

He even saw a two girls on the street who streamed and managed to break a hearty stone with a toy hammer. Hmm actually, maybe that stone was just weak or the hammer was filled with iron to make it legit.

Nevertheless, earth's old physics is no longer applied here, new physics update just dropped woo!

Ahem anyway, there was much more he found out but it'll be boring if he try to recount every single thing he discovered.

Looking at the clock, it was almost time to set up the stall, Qin Shaoqing groaned wishing to sleep a little more got up and stretched.

Grabbing all the ingredient in the fridge, he unloaded it in the stall cart and made his way to Aurum alley.

In the day, it was any old street with a loading dock to transport goods but at night, it became a bustling market.

This is where he made most of his credits to pay for his rent and food.

Setting up stall in a corner of the street, he turned the valve as the stove came to life.

Mixing sugar, corn syrup, water, and red coloring food, he stirred until it bubbled before turning the heat down, and then he dipped apples into the mixture before letting it cool.

Along with apples, he also made apple slices mixed with orange slices, and one with pure orange slices.

"Evening Qin Shaoqing, early as always." The stall neighbor, Bai Ming came over with a stall of her own.

"Well the early birds get the worm, and I stand by that principle. by the way-" The two conversed and bickered like an old friend.

The two met exactly two weeks ago when Qin Shaoqing was looking for a spot to make profit, using the stall he bought for cheap using all the money he could find around the house.

Bai Ming who clearly saw Qin Shaoqing as a newbie taught him the ropes of the business and the quickly became good friends.

"Hmm? what's wrong." Qin Shaoqing who saw a troubled look on Ming face asked directly.

"It's nothing, its just my father's friend came over to the house and complained about some guy who almost swindled them out of a full warehouse of goods, ugh people these days, really hard to trust." Hearing an almost familiar story, Qin shaoqing feigned shook before returning to normal.

After chatting a bit more, the noticed more and more people are flowing through the street and decided to focus on their job more.

Seeing Bai Ming advertising her products, Qin Shaoqing simply laid back and played on his phone.

"Mommy! I want that candied fruits!" Over hearing a child's voice, he looked ahead to see a foxian mother and child pair approaching his stall.

"Welcome, how blessed am I to be greeted by a lovely pair?" Qin Shaoqing gave a curt smile and greeted them.

"Hello young man, haha, I'll get the candied apple please." The Foxian mother bought the one the child excitingly pointed at.

"That'll be 600 credits, and as an extra for being my first costumer, ill add in an extra stick, just for you." Qin Shaoqing grabbed another stick and gave it to the child.

"And please don't refuse, a women as beautiful as yourself made my day by your mere presence."

"Oh my, aren't you a smooth talker, I'm sure you're quite popular with the girls." Both chatted for a bit before the pair departed with the child shifting his attention between the apple and orange, unsure which to eat first.

"hm, just smooth talker with a good face nothing more." Hearing a cold snort beside him, Qin Shaoqing turned to Bai Ming.

"What? Jealous?" Qin Shaoqing gave a small smile before grabbing another stick and offering it to Bai Ming.

"Hm, At least not just a smooth talker with a good face." Bai Ming snorted and accepted the stick before returning to attracting more customers.

Seeing no more customers coming by, Qin Shaoqing played more on his phone. His merchandise is dime a dozen, and he's not particularly attracting customers so his sales are very few.

He could try to be more proactive but the effect was too insignificant that its not worth the effort, so he purely relied on the his attractive signs while he laze.
