Chapter 1 - The beginning of Fate

Chapter one:

On a dark night, lit only by a faint moon whose light slipped through heavy clouds, Arthur was born in a small, isolated room deep in the countryside.

His first cries filled the air but they were weak, fragmented, as if life itself hesitated to grant him a chance to live.

The mother... a simple human girl, her face pale, her breaths shallow. She could not endure the strange burden within her, and with her final scream, she surrendered her soul leaving Arthur alone.

That child was no ordinary being...

In his veins flowed half human blood, and half divine blood sealed away a vast power locked within him from the moment of his birth.

The years passed slowly.

He grew up an orphan, adopted by an old man and his wife. His body was frail, more like the sick than the healthy. He lived as any ordinary young man, never expecting to have a share in strength or glory.

But...

On another dark night, seventeen years after his birth, everything changed.

A young man with a weak, weary body walked along a boy whose upper hair was bright white tinged with silver, while the lower half was deep black. His medium-length, slightly wavy hair framed his face. Dressed in simple, poor clothing, he breathed deeply, trying for just a moment to forget his weakness.

Suddenly, the ground trembled beneath his feet.

From between the dark trees, a massive beast appeared.

Its black fur gleamed, its claws long as blades, and its red eyes burned like embers. Its roar froze his heart, and the air around him shuddered.

He stepped back, whispering in fear,

"WWhat... what is that monster...?"

He began running with all his strength, his body trembling with terror but the beast was faster. Every step it took shook the earth, its breath growing closer and closer.

"No... I can't escape..." he muttered, biting his lip, sweat dripping down his forehead.

He tried to dodge, but the darkness betrayed him. Suddenly, the monster lunged, striking him with its sharp claws.

Arthur's body hit the ground hard, flung several meters away.

Pain pierced through his frail body, blood flowing from his shoulder and chest.

Cold crept into his veins... death was drawing near.

And then...

A faint blue light appeared before him. A transparent screen floated in the air, filled with symbols and numbers.
