Rena sighed rubbing her head , she felt a pending headache as she kept smiling at the guests . Guin seemed to notice and queitly moved closer to her .
"Something wrong love?"
She blinked realising she had sighed loudly , "no nothing is wrong" she lied.
"Excuse my gentlemen , can i burrow her for a minute" Guin smiled at the two guests then scooped Rena away.
Rena excused herself and followed her .
"Go freshen up and get some fresh air " whispered Guin .
"Ahh mom ....making me do this on the weekend too" she grumbled washing her face.
Since her mother found out about her dragon tattoo, she had been forcing her to go to such parties incase she run into him again. He had not be caught by any camera , it was like was skillfully avoiding them .
"He must be among our social circle if he was in that hotel, so you will attend everyone of them until you find him " her mother had ordered.
Guin had stayed back to keep the guests entertained .
Applying some lipstik and fixing her hair, she prepared to go out but as she walked out , someone bumped into her.
She staggered but a hand grabbed her , she looked up to see his flushed face.
"Sorry " she muttered gaining her balance.
He leaned forward his head resting on her shoudler .
"What did they give me?"he mumbled.
"Huh?!" She tried to push him away but they staggered , he was losing his balance and his grip around her waist tightened.
"What happened to you and can you please let go " she let out , he must be drunk and is confusing her with someone else.
Before he could answer she heard voices and then two men appeared in the hallway .
She recognised one of them it was the waiter from the bar . But something was different about him now and he was holding something.
"Is that a gun ?" She muttered recognizing the weapon in his hand
The stranger slowly turned looking back and then muttered.
"We need to leave now "
"Huh?!"but she didnt want to go anywhere with a stranger and why was she running away from people she had done nothing to .
The two men recognised them and the waiter yelled.
"There he is...his with someone now"
She felt her body move, he pushed her ahead .
"Run , we need to move " he staggered leaning by the wall.
She frowned looking at him , was he in trouble.
"I cant leave you like this ..especially in such a situation " she said grabbing his hand and letting him leaning on her.."come on lets go " she groaned as his weight curshed into her .
"Hi. Stop right there or i will shoot " she heard the waiter yell.
Shoot , why would they shoot at them and why where they chasing after them? She wondered as she tried her best to get away with the wobbling heavy man .
He suddenly stopped and wrapped his arms around her , she wanted to push him away but then the sound of the gun shot sounded loudly in within the corridor .
He groaned but didnt let her go as she flinched.
Her body froze realizing they had shot at them and he had protected her . His grip loosened as he seemed to start bleeding she gasped realsing they where catching up to them and if they did neither her or the stranger would surivive .
Gathering her strength she pulled him up , a few steps and they would reach the elevator. There she would call security to secure them passage .
"Come on alittle bit further " she cried dropping him inside safely , before the pursuers could reach the elevator the doors closed.
She gasped for air trying to control her breathing , her trembling hands moved to her bag as she called her bodyguards.
Her eyes moved to the now unconscious bleeding man laying down in the elevator with her.
"Yes , hello . Prepare a car and more security . Ahh someone shoot at me" she cried. "Yeah am okay but someone has been shot so we need to get him to the hospital " she knelt down beside him putting her hands on the bleeding wound staining her hand with his blood.
