Chapter 9 - Yu Du Chen

[Confirm draw]

Amber stared at the interface. Unlike the first automatic pull, this time the card draw screen was fully visible—eerily familiar. It looked almost identical to the one in Star Rail, except the banners were filled with Fu Hua variants in different armors and eras.

No weapon pool. A 2-in-1 banner.

Her mobile gamer instincts trembled.

'Is there a pity system?'

[There is no pity.]

Navigation was blunt.

[What can be drawn is determined by luck—or Yuan. The system merely stabilizes the link to Yuan so the results aren't chaotic.]

'I figured…'

Amber hovered over the familiar buttons: single draw or ten-pull. She tapped the ten-pull.

[Use 1600 recognition for card draw?]

'Yes.'

[Recognition weighting detected. This will consume more recognition and improve item quality.]

'...How much?'

[Navigation recommends: all.]

Amber hesitated. 'Recognition is only used for drawing, right?'

[Correct.]

'Then all in.'

She confirmed without flinching. Better to go big than waste it on mediocrity.

[Extraction complete. Items classified and summarized.]

[Star Stone ×23,300

Armed Resonance ×1,900

Fu Hua: (Part 2) ×1

Yu Du Chen ×1

Strange Object: Noisy Superior ×1]

Amber's jaw dropped.

'…wtf?'

She barely held back a reaction, thanks to Navigation's emoticon management. But internally, she was screaming. This was a jackpot.

Her last draw had been decent—Fu Hua's Destiny Expedition form and the strange object Dream 0110. That item, while low-tier, gave a clean 20% team-wide damage boost and only a 5% increase in damage received. Simple. Brutal. Effective.

But this time?

Yu Du Chen. The legendary key to consciousness. A divine tool used by immortals to manipulate perception and illusion. Its potential was limitless.

And Noisy Superior—an artifact from the differential universe. In-game, it crippled enemy recovery after flame-based break attacks. Here, it left "residue" in the enemy's body. If not purged, the injury couldn't fully heal.

Amber was ecstatic. This was the power of stud.

She exited the draw interface, itching to equip Yu Du Chen. But she held back. Better to study it in solitude.

She glanced at Mash's shield. The Chaldeans had finished their link long ago and were deep in conversation. She'd been so quiet, the topic hadn't touched her.

Just as she was about to dive into Yu Du Chen's mechanics, Dr. Romani's voice echoed from the shield.

"Red Kite Immortal… the one who summoned you to this era. Can you explain?"

Leonardo da Vinci frowned. It was a critical question. In every singularity, the summoner defined the Heroic Spirit's allegiance.

The Three Goddesses? Summoned by the Mage King to destroy humanity.

Ana? Summoned by the Counter Force to protect it.

Amber glanced at Navigation. 'What should I say?'

[Inhibition]

Amber nodded. "Inhibition."

Roman's expression didn't change. "I thought so."

He continued, "As you can see, we can't match divine power. Ritsuka is a brilliant Master, and Mash is an exceptional Servant—but the gap is vast."

"So… will you assist Chaldea?"

Amber answered honestly. "I can't promise to stay with you always. But if you're in danger, I won't stand by."

It was in her nature. And it would boost recognition. Win-win.

"Thank you," Romani said.

Da Vinci looked relieved. If Amber had hidden hostility, it could've been catastrophic. She was too powerful to ignore.

Fujimaru grinned. "Thanks for your help!"

Mash smiled warmly. "Strong and reliable reinforcements have joined."

Amber appreciated the admiration—but her mind was on Yu Du Chen.

After the call ended, she excused herself and returned to her room.

With Navigation's help, she began channeling Honkai Energy. She'd already learned to manipulate it. Activating Yu Du Chen was surprisingly intuitive—easier than wielding a physical weapon.

She focused her consciousness and entered the artifact.

What she saw stunned her.

It wasn't empty.

Inside floated a wisp of consciousness—mutilated, fragile, barely alive.

Amber's breath caught.

"…Is that… Fu Hua the real one??"
