Chapter 150 - Chapter 150: Strange Cooperation

"These guys… what kind of monsters are they…"

Angel Adeline couldn't believe her senses.

Greed, hatred, disgust, distortion, corruption—

Countless raw, naked malice poured toward her without the slightest restraint.

And the source of that malice—

were the demons before her!

These beings, the servants of a Divine Realm world that made Adeline feel instinctively sick—

the Endless Abyss.

To be honest, merely standing before this group of demons made Adeline want to scream.

If it weren't for the command from her elder brother, the Archangel of Retribution Peter,

she would have either left long ago or personally destroyed these creatures.

Unfortunately, Adeline couldn't act on her impulses.

She had to personally deliver Peter's "proposal for cooperation" to the master of this world.

"Summon your master…"

Suppressing her inner disgust, Adeline descended slowly from the sky.

Her voice, calm but cold, echoed over the battlefield.

"Tell him, the envoy from Heaven Mountain has arrived.

Let him come and see me!"

Though her voice wasn't loud, divine fire carried it across the entire field.

Her tone, however, was anything but polite—sharp and commanding.

Anyone hearing her might think she was a being far above a lower god.

But that wasn't quite true.

Adeline, a true angel born in Heaven Mountain,

did indeed have a status above an ordinary lower deity.

While her own strength was only that of a demigod,

behind her stood the vast power of all Heaven Mountain.

So, as an envoy from such a mighty world,

she naturally looked down upon the twisted, grotesque realm and its master.

But to her surprise—

after she arrogantly voiced her demand,

the creatures before her began to sneer and step forward.

Even the sound of their footsteps chilled her to the bone.

From their expressions alone, it was obvious they held no goodwill.

Some of the demons even looked at her body with lewd, mocking eyes.

That gaze ignited her fury.

"How dare you!"

Adeline's hands trembled as two spears of pure light formed in her grasp.

Though the demons were numerous, she wasn't too worried.

Her status as an envoy gave her protection,

and Heaven's legions—thousands of kilometers away—

were a firm backup should anything happen.

Not to mention, her demigod power was enough to escape if necessary.

Even so, the aura these demons exuded terrified her.

It reeked of extreme corruption—an evil that no holy being should face.

Then, suddenly, Adeline's gaze snapped upward.

Dark mist filled the sky, swirling together to form a vast vortex.

It gathered on its own, without any wind.

The instant it appeared, Adeline found it difficult to breathe.

Even her will to resist seemed to melt away.

Too strong!

This was a true higher being!

"So, you are the envoy from Heaven Mountain?"

The vortex of black mist began to dissipate,

and from within it stepped a man with black hair and black eyes.

Chu Hao had come personally.

His cold eyes glanced briefly at the angel standing at the edge of the Abyss.

Then, using his power, he silently scanned every aspect of her being.

When he finished, he paused for a moment—

then his expression shifted.

The coldness vanished, replaced by a warm and friendly smile.

In the stunned eyes of every demon present,

Chu Hao looked at the angel and said,

"You're even more beautiful than I imagined, Miss Angel.

My apologies for the rudeness of my… uncivil subordinates."

The demons were dumbfounded.

They could hardly believe that this gentle, elegant man

was the same being who ruled the Endless Abyss.

This completely overturned everything they knew about him—

for among the Abyss, Chu Hao was known as the embodiment of darkness,

a mad, cold-blooded being obsessed with power and twisted experiments.

Why was he acting so friendly now?

And more importantly—

where were they "uncivil"?

But among them, a few clever demons quickly caught on.

"Heh, something's off," muttered the demon known as Evil Eye,

licking its claws as it watched the two figures in the sky.

"I can already smell the scent of betrayal and blood."

Another demon blinked, confused.

"Why would you say that, Evil Eye? Do you know what our master is planning?"

Evil Eye smirked and pointed upward.

"Not exactly. But I do know one thing—

when a powerful being starts acting polite to a weak one…

it's never out of kindness."

"It means the strong one desires something more."

---

High above, the negotiation continued.

Chu Hao waved a hand,

and a surge of black mist rose up to block the demons' sight below.

He did it out of courtesy—for the angel's sake.

"Thank you for that," Adeline said softly, patting her chest in relief.

"I feel much better now."

After talking for a while and easing their mutual tension,

Adeline began to see Chu Hao in a new light.

She realized that the master of this "hideous" world

was, in truth, a very "kind" and reasonable man.

"Then, let us continue discussing the details of our cooperation

in dealing with the Void Zerg."

Looking at Chu Hao's calm, almost charming smile,

Adeline felt herself relax further.

"Are you certain your world still has enough… warriors,

I mean, soldiers—to aid the armies of Heaven Mountain against the Zerg?"

"If so, Heaven Mountain would gladly welcome it.

After all, the swarm is the enemy of all creation."

"Of course I'm certain."

"I am more than willing to cooperate with the great Heaven Mountain,"

Chu Hao replied with a calm smile.

"I shall send my legions to your battlefronts

to help annihilate the enemy."

Though his words were polite,

his eyes carried an icy gleam.
