Chapter 1 - Chapter-1: What Just Happened?!

A/N:

This is kind of story is something I had on my mind for a while... I just didn't have much motivation to write it out. If I get enough views and likes, I might continue this to be a big story...

"Hmm... what should I get for lunch?" Our protagonist murmered as he kept walking aimlessly on the streets.

Ring Ring!

As he tried to take his phone from his pocket, it nearly fell due to his clumpsy grip.

"O~woops!" He yelped out nervously.

"Oh, hey mom!"

"Arg, how are you? I hope you are settling well in Berlin!" Her sweet voice could be heard from the phone.

"Yeah yeah... It's all nice, but it is not the same. I miss you guys..." Arg said, stopping in front of a cafe.

He went inside and saw the chalk board which had their menu listed down.

"Did you have lunch yet?" She asked.

"Uh, I just sat down at a cafe... I didn't have anything to cook with at dorm. Call you when I get back to my dorm," Arg replied.

"Alright, eat well. You better visit us for christmas," she said, cutting the call.

'Christmas is 5 months away...' Arg thought.

"Umh, I would like to have the... Mitttegesssan?" He said awkwardly, still not accustomed to the language.

"Alright zir," The waiter replied with a nod.

He quickly brought the order and placed it on Arg's table.

Arg nodded and started to eat quickly.

"Eh?" Arg looked out at the darkening skies.

"The weather report didn't show it will rain today... I guess..."

BOOOM!

"WHAT THE!"

Out of of the ground, a huge worm like monster popped out.

Everyone were screaming at the sight of it.

"CRAAAH!"

Arg looked up in horror. A huge Lizard resembling the dinosaur Pterodatyl could be seen flying and screeching.

Arg quickly stuffed a sausage into his mouth and tried to bolt off...

SWWOOOOSHHHH

Before Arg could even react, he was sucked into something...

Arg blinked a couple of times...

"Ughhh... What the fuck? Why is the bed so... hard?" Arg thought as he got up with difficulty. He looked down and was a bit confused.

He was lying down on some kind of stone...

"Why do I feel so... heavy?"

He suddenly realised what happened before. He frantically got up and looked around, but ended up hurting his left wrist due to the extra force experienced caused by the increased gravity...

He was sweating quite profusely. It was really hot where he was at right now.

The place he was on was some sort of barren land...

But a few kilometers away, a forest could be seen.

Arg took out his phone. "Tch, no signal."

"GRAAHH!"

A weird growling sound could be heard a few metres from him. He turned around quickly, and he saw a huge furry monster with long claws trying to slash a huge hog like creature, but failed pretty badly. It was a bit slow, whilst the hog was quite agile, managing to land a few strikes using its pointy tusks.

"HNKK!"

"Ugh... they sound so... weird."

"And look weird too."

Arg decided to do something smart, and chose to run away to the woods ahead...

"HUFF! HUFF! UHUUFF!"

Arg wasn't particularly good at sports... or anything else physical. He was more of the studious type, choosing to study more to get a better life, though he had his experiences in playing sports, his father pushing him to play volley ball like he used to.

He wiped his forehead, wiping all the sweat off. "Alright... First things first, I need to know where I am," Arg told to himself, not trying to panic. He read that panicking can alert nearby animals to his location...and seeing those animals made him bat shit crazy.

He looked around, trying to figure out what this place is... He had never seen or even read about trees like these...

The leaves were all a bit bluish green, with the trunk's bark being dark red.

The ground was soft, not like soil but... flesh? He crouched, pressing a hand down. It bounced slightly, like a thick carpet with something pulsing faintly beneath it. He jerked back.

"Eww....." He said, closing his mouth with his right hand, realising he was a bit too loud.

A glint of metal caught his eye between the trees. Carefully, he pushed through the underbrush — and froze.

It was a long, thin blade...

"It's kinda like a Katana..." Arg said, grabbing hold of it.

But he couldn't get it out.

"GRRRHH!!!"

After a few seconds, he decided to dig a part of the ground and pull it out.

"Damn... this is... heavy," Arg thought, barely able to hold it.

'I need to learn to adjust... Either this place's gravity is strong, or I got weaker...'

A burst of faint blue light shot through the air for a second before fading. Arg stumbled back, the weapon in his hand.

"What the?!"

"What… is this thing?" he whispered. It was surprisingly light, almost unnaturally balanced.

'This is heavy... but not that heavy... This might be helpful,' He thought, collecting the sheath next to it.

Rustle...

"Alright... I am just hearing things breh," Arg whispered to himself, inspecting the sword.

THUMP

"Eh?" Arg looked back. He had heard something heavy hit the ground... it was like flesh hitting flesh.

His pupils shrunk in horror, he fell on his back, shakily raising the blade defensively despite its heaviness. Adrenaline is a life saver...

Thump... Thump...

The noise was getting closer and closer... All of a sudden, the tree behind him fell down, spiking his nervousness.

Arg froze. The sword vibrated in his grip, glowing lightly.

The creature leaned down, its "face" splitting into jagged lines of teeth that glowed faintly.

GRUUUHHHHHHHHH!

The sound shook the air.

Arg's instincts screamed — he raised the sword instinctively.

The creature lunged. Its massive claw swept through the air.

And for a single instant, the world seemed to slow down.

"What the—"

Before he could finish, time snapped back. The claw came down....
