Chapter 37 - chapter thirty seven

Please, don't kill them," I begged, my voice trembling as I gazed into his ruthless eyes.

"And why shouldn't I?" he retorted, his voice dripping with venom. "They tortured you for years; it's time for them to pay the ultimate price."

"It's not worth it," I murmured, but he just sneered, his lips curling into a cold, calculating smile.

"Killing them won't bring back the past, but it'll sure as hell make them suffer for what they did," he snarled, his eyes blazing with fury.

"Tell me, then, do we just let them off, enjoy their lives while you're still reeling from the hell they put you through?" he said, his jaw clenched in anger. "The past will always come back to haunt you. That's why you have to be ruthless with every move you make, because one mistake can lead to deadly consequences."

"I'm not playing games with you, Tess," he said, his words filled with darkness. "I'll make them pay, and I'll enjoy every minute of it."

He turned and walked away, leaving me shaken and terrified. What had I unleashed?

Hours passed, and Slavvy didn't return. I was on edge, wondering what he was planning.

And then, I heard the screams.

"Please, please, whatever you want, I'll give it to you, but please don't kill my family," a faint voice cried out.

Uncle? My eyes widened, and my heart started racing. My hands were shaking. I quickly made my way downstairs, and I couldn't believe my eyes at what I was seeing.

I thought this was only portrayed in movies, but to me, it was now a gruesome reality.

"Slavvy, what's going on?" my voice was barely a whisper.

Slavvy looked up at me, seated on the huge couch, surrounded by his loyal henchmen. Six tall men dressed in black suits that fitted them perfectly stood, their presence casting a dark shadow over the room.

My uncle looked up at me, his eyes wide with terror. His wife and two kids were bitterly crying, their pleas for mercy falling on deaf ears.

"Testimony, yesterday, my daughter, please tell this man you know, and I'm your uncle," he begged, his voice cracking with desperation.

Daughter? I was nothing to you. I just froze, my mind reeling with the horrors of my past. I couldn't breathe. I fell to the ground.

"Testimony," Slavvy rushed in, picking me up. "Go get water," he commanded one of the guards, and he brought me a glass of water, which I drank greedily.

"Look, you can't even stand up just by looking at him. I won't spare him, not at all," Slavvy said through clenched teeth, his eyes blazing with fury.

"Slavvy, please, there's no need, please let them go," I begged, my voice shaking with fear.

"Taylor, take care of them," Slavvy coldly said, ignoring my pleas. "Make them suffer."

"Slavvy," I yelled above a whisper, but he just picked me up and went with me upstairs. As we walked upstairs, I could hear sounds of a crying woman and her children begging for mercy.

"Let my family go, you little witcg! I knew you were nothing but a curse in our lives, psychopath!" my uncle yelled, his voice dripping with hatred.

Ahh, he hasn't changed a bit over these years.

"What did you just say?" Slavvy said in anger, his face blazing with fury.

He pulled the trigger on one of my uncle's children, and screams filled my room, including mine.

"Oh, please have mercy upon us, my poor child, wake up, please," the wife cried bitterly, her voice cracking with grief.

I slowly walked away from his grip, but he pulled me in close. I was so weak I couldn't fight back.

"He took away everything from you; now he's going to pay," Slavvy said, his voice dripping with malice, and fired the second gunshot at his other daughter.

"You are foing to die the most painful death," my uncle cursed under his lips. And the wife just closed her eyes, waiting for her turn.

"He watched his two daughters die; now he's going to pull the trigger on the woman he loves the most," he said coldly, giving one guy a sign to give him a gun.

"I'm sorry, my uncle said, but his wife looked at him with pure hatred before he fired the gunshot.

"Good. Now, I want you all to take care of these bodies and make sure you leave no evidence behind. And as for him, you can let him go; I'll kill him another day, but make sure he doesn't kill himself before I do,"

"And make sure he knows that I'm watching him, waiting for him to slip up so I can finish him off," Slavvy added, his eyes glinting with malevolence.

The guards nodded and dragged my uncle away, leaving me shaken and horrified.

Slavvy turned to me, his expression cold and calculating. "You see, Tess, this is what happens when you cross me. This is what happens when you hurt someone I care about."

I was frozen in terror, unable to move or speak.

Slavvy's eyes seemed to bore into my soul, his gaze piercing and unyielding.
