Chapter 63 - Chapter 63: A Random Weapon Out of Nowhere

Old people. They were, perhaps even more so than the children, the most unfortunate demographic in the world with the Game.

The children, at the very least, would be helped by the adults due to their parental instincts during the Game. The old people? They are seen only as baggage and are usually the first to die.

The same could be said even outside the Game.

And right now, as a large humanoid snake threatened to kill and eat them, they knew no one would help them—the only thing they could do was surrender to their fate.

They still tried to escape, of course, their feet shuffling awkwardly. But one by one, they tripped and fell even with their canes.

The verdleck zeroed in on them, its maw opening wide.

But it was then that a shadow dashed forward, snatching a cane from one of them.

Who else could it be but the only one who would actually help in this situation?

Adam.

The old folks all watched as Adam rammed the cane into the monster's mouth.
