Chapter 67 - Still You

Inside the bar, the lights were dim. Jungtae sat alone in the corner booth, shoulders slightly hunched, a half-empty bottle and a small glass in front of him.

The ice inside the glass had already melted. He stared down at it blankly.

Haneul's voice replayed in his head.

"He's living his best life in Germany."

"He doesn't care about you anymore."

Jungtae's brows furrowed.

He lifted the glass and downed another shot, the burn sliding down his throat.

"There you are, Jungtae."

The voice cut through his thoughts. Jungtae froze. Slowly, he looked up.

Eunho stood there, eyes fixed on him.

"Huh?" Jungtae blinked. "What are you doing here?"

Eunho didn't answer immediately. He slid into the seat across from him, calm and observant.

"Taekyun told me where you were," Eunho said. "He said you left earlier looking gloomy."

Jungtae looked away. "It's nothing."

Eunho's gaze didn't move.

Without asking, he reached forward and gently took the small shot glass from Jungtae's fingers.
