Chapter 1 - “Welcome To The Death League"

"Move, move!"

A bunch of armed men in black uniforms hurriedly got off the military cars, their voices full of urgency as they stared at the twisted void that suddenly engulfed an entire skyscraper.

"Don't get too close— this building has turned into an active ruin!"

"Ugh, it's scary how the Death League app is so accurate every single time…"

"If only it can give coordinates before the league starts, the civilians will have time to evacuate."

"Let's just hope the chosen challengers can clear the ruins so that the civilians remain safe."

"Hey, stop chatting! Where's that felon? Bring him here!"

Excitement, worry, fear and a myriad of emotions hit a certain someone huddled inside the military truck, like hamburgers falling from the sky.

The "felon" guy immediately smacked his lips with a dreamy face.

Ah~ what rich emotions!

It's been a while since he felt such emotions— which monster had so many complex emotions?

Leinster squeezed his eyes contentedly as he subconsciously twitched his antennas—

Nothing was twitching.

No emotions entered his body through his antennas.

What?

Leinster immediately lifted his hands, trying to touch his head, but instead of his familiar jiggly arms, he found that his arms were solid!

Leinster suddenly had a bad premonition.

No, don't tell him—

Leinster quickly rubbed his head frantically and when he felt nothing, a thunder instantly struck his mind.

Oh no!

Athenas and Athanas— they were gone!

Leinster dramatically covered his eyes with his palm and shed tears from one eye while howling in despair.

"Ah! My baby, my darling, Athenas, Athanas— where are you guys, my love??"

Unfortunately, what came out of his mouth was a string of strange languages that he had never heard before but strangely could understand.

A wave of dizziness struck.

Disbelief and confusion swirled around in his head.

No, no, something is wrong— how did he suddenly wake up in an entirely strange body with no traces of his beloved darlings??

Leinster's eyelashes fluttered and then, out of the blue, he suddenly clutched his head with a painful groan.

"Ugh! Arghhh— "

The man collapsed to the ground and twitched from head to toe, his already pale face turned even paler.

Salivas started to drip down his dry lips and soon, his white face turned blue.

The intermittent voices around paused for a split second and the next moment, bursts of curses flew everywhere, followed by rapid footsteps.

"Fck! What did this guy do again??"

"Did he bite his tongue? Is he trying to commit suicide??"

"Damn! Stop him!"

A bald, skinny guy closest to the convulsing young man rushed to the man on the ground.

He put down his gun, squatted and reached out his hand, about to touch the silver-haired man's face when the "unconscious guy" suddenly opened his eyes with a flick.

Dark crimson red pupils stared straight at the bald man's eyes, with no trace of the previous pain.

The young man even stuck out his tongue and slowly licked his chapped lips.

"Ah~ got you~ "

A thin arm like a tree branch instantly shot out!

Swish!

The bald guy only felt a gust of wind and suddenly, something clutched the back of his neck.

"Ah— " The bald guy's pupils widened and the next second, his head hit the solid grey asphalt with a loud noise.

BANG!

Drip. Drip.

Blood slowly dyed the grey asphalt red.

No one knew since when, but the guy who collapsed on the ground had already squatted next to the bald guy.

His long, silver hair sparkled under the sunlight as he slowly lifted the bald guy's head.

Eyes bent like crescent moons, Leinster whispered softly and gently, like a devil crawling from hell.

"Dear, did you see my darling— Athenas and Athanas?"

A perfect, polite smile as if measured by a ruler appeared on Leinster's face.

"Oh, and…" the words trailed off, "If you don't mind me asking, where is this place?"

The polite smile didn't change, but as his question was met with silence, the young man's smile slowly widened bit by bit.

"Hmm? Can't answer that? Then…" The entire mouth reached the ears, as if it was about to split open.

"Who are you bipedals?"

Dark, fathomless eyes bore straight into the bald man's eyes.

It was as if a swirling, bottomless abyss was staring at him.

The bald guy shuddered, a warm liquid instantly flowed down his lower body.

"I....I..."

Plop.

He fainted.

"Ah— " Leinster dragged his voice and touched his face innocently, "Did I frighten him?"

….

Silence filled the entire place.

The group of people held their breaths as they stared at the guy who was wiping the speck of blood on his cheek with the back of his palm, their minds spinning dizzily.

What…what happened?

Time seemed to freeze until someone snapped out of the shock and roared,

"Fck!! Catch him!!"

The group of armed men instantly jolted awake and hurriedly rushed towards Leinster.

"Attack!!"

The muzzles were all pointing in the same direction and someone in the group pressed a button with a grim face.

BEEP.

Almost simultaneously, a strong electric current stung Leinster's neck and a surge of pain stabbed all over his body!

"Ugh!!"

Leinster's hand trembled, his own body started to convulse for real and he fell to the ground alongside the bald guy.

Plop!

What....what the…?

Leinster's trembling hands groped around and a hint of cold brushed past his fingers.

Leinster subconsciously grabbed the cold thing around his neck and his eyes instantly widened.

This shape, this tough material…

A neck restraint?

Leinster, the poor alien who had never felt a change in his body temperature, suddenly felt his whole body turning cold.

Isn't this thing for slaves?

Did he get kidnapped and sold as a slave??

Thinking that he was suddenly reduced to a slave, the guy who was like a bomb about to explode suddenly deflated like a balloon.

He immediately curled up in a fetus position and imaginary dark clouds gathered above his head.

"Sob, sob, what kind of injustice is this??" Leinster wept and shouted in a hoarse voice, "How could you kidnap and enslave an innocent Emo alien like me— do you not have a heart?!"

The emo alien, well-known for not having a heart, touched his own chest with sorrow as he wailed:

"Ahhhh— what a sin! You guys even transformed me into this bipedal monster! Sniff, sniff, Athenas, Athanas, forgive your daddy— "

Leinster's words were abruptly cut off.

The "bipedal" closest to him stabbed Leinster's chest with the edge of the gun and growled in a false bravado,

"Shut up, you crazy bastard! Come here!"

The two-legged person yanked Leinster's hair hard and the thick metallic ring dug into Leinster's neck.

"Khek— cough! Cough! Be gentle, be gentle! What if I break??"

Leinster choked and coughed a few times, his body was dragged in the direction of the bipedal who yanked him— it was the skyscraper with a twisted void.

Leinster keenly felt something was unusual.

It was clearly broad daylight, but the sky darkened and the temperature plummeted.

The air became sticky, clinging to his skin like a piece of brown sugar.

The tall block-like building seemed to be separated from the rest of the world, with the twisting void as the border.

Once Leinster was within a certain distance from the twisting void, a huge suction force swept over him.

The guards' faces instantly changed.

"Run!"

The guards scattered like birds in the forest and amidst the chaos, Leinster felt a strong pushing force from behind.

"You go!"

A bipedal kicked Leinster's back with such a force that his body was plunged straight into the twisting void!

Before his whole body was sucked into the twisting void, Leinster suddenly turned his body around and raised two middle fingers above his head, imitating his lost darlings.

"Go to helllll, you bipedal monsters— "

Leinster's words were cut short.

The moment his body touched the void, it swallowed him whole, followed by a mechanical sound.

DING! [Welcome to The Death League 101!]

DING! [You have entered a ruin.]

DING! [The livestream is on.]

The guards outside felt their phones buzzing and the screens lit up at the same time.

They immediately unlocked their phones and clicked a certain app with a black cover and a bloody scythe symbol embedded in the middle.

The moment the guards opened the app, a line of bloody words flashed by:

[May death always be with you]

The ominous words melted into countless blood droplets and scattered into countless black livestreams.

Among the countless livestreams, one had a familiar red-colored name on it.
