Chapter 1 - the unawakened genius...

The twin suns of Solarith hung heavy over the horizon — one burning gold, the other pale white — casting their mixed light across the gleaming city of Solaria Prime. The city floated upon massive anti-graviton pillars, high above the crimson sands that once buried the old world. Energy lines pulsed beneath its marble streets, feeding the towers and skyships that defined the age.

Yet even among such marvels, one structure stood taller — the Valefor Estate, home of the family that bore the crest of the Sun itself.

Two guards stood before its gate, their armor gleaming with a faint solar sheen. They spoke in hushed voices, though the excitement in their tone betrayed them.

"Did you hear? The Valefor family's third son and second daughter were just born," said one, his voice trembling slightly. "Both of them endured three syringes of forty-percent purity Elyson without fainting."

Elyson — the shimmering blue serum refined from the blood of higher-grade beasts — was more than a medical tool. It was a trial. Every newborn of noble descent was given it, a test of capacity — how much power their bodies could hold before collapsing. Most fainted after one or two injections. Three was remarkable.

The other guard scoffed softly. "That's impressive, but remember the eldest one — Klaus Valefor. He took the seventy-percent purity syringe reserved for the first heir and still endured seven more doses of forty-percent before he finally went down."

He shook his head, half in awe, half in fear.

Flashback – 8 Years Ago

The room was cold, filled with the metallic scent of Elyson. Doctors in silver coats moved around a newborn lying in a crystal pod, his tiny body trembling as blue liquid coursed through his veins.

"Seventy-percent purity... still stable!" one shouted. "Begin additional injections!"

The child's eyes opened for the first time — bright gold, glowing faintly under the serum's light.

"That's impossible," whispered another. "He's enduring 5 doses. Even a child of the Sun shouldn't—"

"Enough," said Alor Valefor, stepping forward. His gaze softened as he looked at the baby. "He's no ordinary child. Add the doses" finally after 2 more doses suddenly there was a faint light under the baby klaus chest that flickered without anyone noticing.

All heaved a sign after he finally fainted after taking 7 doses after the 70% .

FLASHBACK ENDS

"A monster, that one. Walking at one, speaking at two, and beating children twice his age by three. And yet…" His voice lowered. "He hasn't awakened."

The first guard grimaced. "He's eight now. That's the usual age. If the rumors are right, he's trained harder than anyone his age. Maybe he'll awaken the Sun Sigil — like the rest of his bloodline."

He glanced down at his own arm, where a faint red glow formed a pattern of flickering embers. "I awakened Flame. It's considered strong but nowhere near Sun."

In the world of Solarith, every living being carried within them a dormant mark known as a Sigil — the silent proof of a soul's strength. When a person awakened, this mark revealed itself upon their body, taking the shape of glowing patterns or symbols unique to their essence.

A Sigil determined one's Main Attribute, the core nature of their power. Some bore the warmth of Flame, the calm of Frost, or the strength of Terra. Others inherited rarer affinities — the blazing Sun or the elusive Shadow.

These attributes weren't merely elements; they reflected the bearer's soul, shaping how their energy moved, how their body grew, and how their destiny unfolded. The stronger the Sigil, the more divine its glow.

To awaken one's Sigil was to carve one's existence into the order of the world itself — and to fail was to remain forever beneath it.

Before he could continue, a maid rushed past them, nearly tripping in her haste. "The Lord's second son has awakened!" she cried, breathless. "The Sun Sigil—he's awakened the Sun!"

Both guards frozen

"Wait the second son? Not the eldest." One asked in surprise.
