The night was quiet, too quiet. Tang Wing ran through the empty streets, his heart pounding. Behind him, a
pack of dogs snarled and chased, their eyes glowing in the dark.
He didn't stop. He couldn't. Panic pushed him forward until he saw it — a small, old house hidden between
crumbling buildings. He dashed inside and slammed the door shut, leaning against it as he gasped for air.
For a moment, there was silence. Relief.
Then, lights flickered on. Tang Wing froze.
The walls were covered with a huge mural. It showed a giant devil dragon surrounded by fierce beasts —
wolves, tigers, and creatures he didn't recognize. Their eyes glowed, teeth sharp, but they didn't move.
The dragon's eyes burned bright red. Its power was terrifying, yet commanding. And then… it changed.
Scales melted into skin, claws into hands, wings folded into a human shape. A tall, dark figure stood
before Tang Wing, radiating power and danger.
Tang Wing's knees shook. "Who… who are you?" he whispered.
"I see everything," the figure said, his voice deep and echoing. "The past, the pain, the broken hearts… I see
it all."
Tang Wing's chest tightened. He remembered his father's anger, Lian Hua's mother scolding him, the
endless humiliation and loneliness. All the pain that had been locked inside him… the dragon could see it.
"You… are the most broken," the dragon said. "And that is why I will teach you."
Tang Wing sank to the floor. "Teach me? What… what can I learn from you?"
The dragon crouched, shadows stretching across the walls. "Strength. Power. Not light, not mercy… but
darkness. Pain can become your weapon. Your anger… your despair… they can make you stronger than
anyone."
Tang Wing's hands shook. Could he trust this? But the thought of all the times he had been hurt… the nights
he cried alone… something inside him sparked.
"I… I'll do it," he whispered.

The dragon extended his hand, black energy swirling around his fingers. Tang Wing reached out. The
moment he touched it, a rush of dark power surged through him — frightening, thrilling, and intoxicating.
That night, Tang Wing became the dragon's student. He had taken his first step into darkness. The boy who
once ran from the world had found a master — and a path that would change him forever.
