Chapter 13 - 13

Justin's POV.

 I was late.

No matter how hard I tried, I was always late. The class had started minutes ago, but luckily for me, it was just a casual introduction going on.

Silence filled the room as I stepped inside, all eyes fell on me.

There was a tall man who was in front, addressing everyone. "Oh at last, you've managed to join us, my name is Philip Banks. What about you?"

"Justin. Justin Anderson." I said, while searching around for a seat to take. Everyone were seated in twos, so there was barely a seat that hadn't been filled up already.

Then...she raised her hand up and smiled. "This seat is free, come sit here."

I couldn't believe my eyes. Sam?

"Welcome Mr Justin, present CEO of Dexton Enterprise. You'd have to come up with the explanation of how you came up with that name. I heard the theory was interesting." Said Philip.

I guess I was angry that she even kept a seat for me. After our last conversation, she clearly made me feel so low about myself! Now she was acting like we were buddies again?

"Can't I sit somewhere else?" I frowned as I asked.

"Oh sure. You could manage the floor. See how sparkly clean it is." Philip said, causing everyone to laugh.

"She chased us all because she wants her beloved to sit with her!" Said a girl with yellow hair and noticeable pretty eyes. More people laughed again.

"Just come and sit down, Justin." Sam said.

I was forced to actually sit with her now. She smiled, but completely ignored me. "What's the meaning of this? You said that you wanted us to divorce and now you're acting nice to me?" I was whispering but anger filled me more and more.

"I said we should divorce, not become enemies." She said, still looking elsewhere.

 What was she planning now?

 "But--"

"-Mr Justin, please let's concentrate on our training, husband and wife talk can come later." Philip said, and everyone started laughing again.

Even Sam...? "You're laughing too?" My brows furrowed as I tried to understand her.

The lecture was boring. No, I wouldn't know because I didn't listen to a word anyone was saying. I didn't wait for us to be disposed before I held Sam's hand and led her outside to a more quiet place.

"What are you planning now?" I demanded.

She looked at me, then rolled her eyes. "Did you put yourself in this class? Knowing I would be here too?"

"That's nonsense! Why would I do that, huh? After you hurt me the last time."

"Then why are you surprised I actually kept a sit for one of my colleague? Or what should I call us now that we're training together?"

"I'll never understand you. It still baffles me that after everything I've ever done for you, you still want to divorce me. You know what? I won't accept it. I won't!"

She smiled, it sent a chill down my spines. "Justin, you don't have a say in this anymore. You've made your choice weeks ago. Before the training is over, our divorce would have been finalized."

"You're not collecting a single penny from me. Okay?"

"What? I don't need your penny, Justin. You still don't get it, do you?"

Through gritted teeth, I managed to respond. "Fine. I'm going to just kick you out of this training because I can't work with you. Do you know what is laying ahead for you? You need to lay low, what my dad is planning for you--" I paused, realizing how stupid and weak I'd sounded.

"But what I'm even planning for you--"

"--you've always been a moron, you still are." She cut me off so easily with words slicing through me like a sharp blade. "I don't care what your dad is planning, or what you're planning. Let's just get over this training, and you leave me alone."

"And what do we have here?" The yellow haired lady walked in, eyes carefully studying us. "What is this stupid girl doing to you, handsome?"

"Paulina, go display your act of madness someplace else. Sane people are talking here." Sam said, and I almost laughed.

 "She's right. We're a little busy," I added.

Paulina looked offended but then shrugged it off again. "You'll regret this. You've always been poor, now, you're even poorer. Your company isn't even on the top 100 in the city. Look at you bragging now,"

"Who's this?" I was forced to ask.

"Why don't you two introduce yourselves each other then," Sam said, then stormed off like it was me who brought this yellow haired girl in.

I followed behind, but the girl stopped me. "Wait! There's something you should know, listen to me now or you'll really regret it!"

"I don't have time for this." I muttered as I walked away from her. Regret it? Who the hell did she think she was!?
