Chapter 20 - 20 Sparring

Reiji couldn't be bothered to patch up his right ear so he and Haruto went to bed.

When he woke up, he went straight to the training field. When he arrived, he saw Kurogane and Reina doing push-ups.

"You're late, peasant." The general's voice spoke up and Reiji felt a wave of tiredness wash over him. He sighed and spoke.

"Sorry." "What are you doing?! You'll be doing squats all day so get to it!"

Reiji moved to a place where he wouldn't be in the way of anyone and started doing squats. When the general saw him, she popped a vein.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?! Are you stupid?!" Reiji kept squatting.

"Answer me!" "No, ma'am." She got right into Reiji's face while he was still squatting.

"No what?" She was clearly irritated by something and Reiji didn't know what. He barely had any contact with females his whole life. "No, I'm not stupid."

"Then why are you squatting here and not next to those two screw-ups?!" Reiji stopped and started walking to the two special criminals, only to be stopped by the general's voice.

"Did I order you to move, YOU PIG?!" Reiji looked over his shoulder and stared at the general. "What did you just call me, you brute?"

"Are you talking back to me?" Her voice was quieter this time, promising pain if more defiance was shown.

"And if I am, brute?" The general smirked. "Then I'll kill you." She delivered a strong blow to Reiji's stomach, causing him to stumble backward until his back hit the ground.

He slowly sat up with a pained expression. Just before he spoke, he puked into the snow. She delivered a deadly liver shot and Reiji was the only one that could take it almost full force without being taken out.

"I've been given the authority to train you three to my heart's content. And as for a loud-mouthed loser like you, I see a good beating as the most fitting."

After he was done puking, he stood up. "Bring it on. All I need is my legs to beat you." The determination in his voice made her grin like a devil.

She punched again. Reiji side-stepped but her speed was too fast and his left forearm took the blow.

He stumbled back a few steps from the force and grunted in pain. Before he even knew it, she was in front of his face and gripped the back of his head, slamming him into the snow face first.

She then dragged him across the snow-covered ground before gripping his hair and lifting his face. "Is something wrong, princess?" After saying that, she got a left elbow to the nose, breaking it.

She touched it with her left hand, still keeping a tight grip on his hair. Reiji used the opening to kick her into her right knee, pushing her back and making her let go of his hair.

Reiji quickly got up and was met with an attack from the general. He struggled to avoid her punches, constantly moving back. Reina and Kurogane stopped doing push-ups and enjoyed the show.

"Who do you think will win?" Kurogane asked. "Definitely the general, but Kurozuma is a stubborn bastard." Reina answered.

Reiji received a brutal kick to his upper left arm, making him face-plant into the snow again. The general picked him up and threw him down, his lower back hitting her knee. "AGH!"

Reiji screamed in pain as he fell into the snow, motionless. "You're weak, princess. We'll resume your regular training and you'll get punished for talking back and disobeying orders." She turned and started walking away.

"Ugh!" Reiji slowly got up. "If I'm a princess… then you gotta be the ugliest bitch in the world." She stopped dead in her tracks. She then turned around to look at him and didn't say anything.

"You said you'd kill me, liar." She slowly started walking closer to him. She threw a punch and Reiji dropped into a split and roundhouse-kicked her. The force caused her to stumble to the side and Reiji was already in front of her.

He wrapped his arms around her neck and delivered a knee to her already broken nose. Reiji then backed up and elbowed her solar plexus. She was hit with an aching pain which shocked her body, causing her to take a few steps back.

She gasped for air but got back into a fighting stance. "You're very annoying, Kurozuma."

Their fighting didn't take the whole day. The general beat Reiji every single time he got up, but the situation was far from hopeless for Reiji. He was currently in the snow after another loss.

"Get up. You've got squats to do, princess." "Don't call me that." She stepped on his stomach with a good amount of force before leaving. Her action caused him to lie there for a few more moments. "Ugh."

He got up again, very slowly and painfully. He wobbled over to Reina and Kurogane who were sitting on the snow-covered ground. They were being yelled at by the general. "You didn't think I wouldn't notice you just staring while I was fighting Mister Princess, did you?!"

This asshole just won't stop calling me that. I guess I deserve it but it's annoying. Reiji got to squatting while the general was about to explode. He observed as she delivered a fatal kick to Kurogane's chin.

Geez, tough luck. Reiji thought to himself as Reina bowed down and apologized with fake tears. "Please, spare me!" The general then looked over at Reiji who quickly turned his gaze forward and acted like he wasn't staring the whole time.

Surprisingly, she didn't go berserk and jumped up, landing on Reina's back. The general then sat down on her. Reina was in a lot of pain from the force the general came down with and didn't say or do anything.

"Hey, start doing push-ups. Why did you stop? Are you an idiot?!" Reina slowly lifted her head up and got her arms into the correct position. "N-no, ma'am."

But try as she might, she was unable to do a single push-up. "Pathetic." The general commented and stood up. She then looked at Kurogane, who was laying on his back, his body still rocked by her kick.

"Get up already!" She grabbed him and threw him face-first into the snow. He just lay there so the general decided to slap him awake, which kind of worked.

Kurogane got to doing push-ups again after the third slap to his face. He panicked, so his form was horrible. "What the hell is that?!" She kicked his stomach so he'd straighten up.

They kept on like this the whole day. There was a lot of pain, screaming, fear, and misery.

"Training is over, pigs. Mister Princess, go see a doctor. You may be tough as steel but that doesn't mean you can take me on." The general turned and left. At least you're not tough enough yet, but you will be.

"Hey! I can barely walk, you brute!" The general stopped. "Fine, your legs won't be in pain if I kill you. I'll be quick."

Yikes… "Please, do not worry yourself. I'll carry him." Everyone's eyes turned to the voice. It was Haruto's butler. He walked over to Reiji and picked him up. "Thanks, butler dude."

"Do not call me that." The butler replied. He carried Reiji over to the entrance to the mansion and when they walked, the warmth caused Reiji to fall asleep in a matter of seconds.

Haruto, who was sitting on a couch in the room the door led to, suddenly jumped up and ran toward Reiji. "Yay! We came back safely!"

"Mister Kurozuma is sleeping, Haruto. You can talk to him later. Right now he needs to get cleaned, eat, and have proper rest."

Haruto sighed and lowered his head. "I understand." It was clear this made him sad.
