Chapter 15 - The World Academy (3)

"Good."

Miss Amy's gaze swept over the silent classroom, and a satisfied smile was formed "Now, where were we? Yes—"

BAM!!

Before Miss Amy could continued a loud sound of the door opening echoed inside the classroom.

"huh..huh...huh"

A breathless voice sounded as a girl enterd the class. one hand clutching her chest. Her brunette hair was slightly disheveled, a few strands sticking to her forehead from the sweat.

inally! I—I made it… huh…" she panted, trying to catch her breath.

For a moment, the room went completely silent. Dozens of students turned their heads toward the door.

The girl blinked, and lifted ger head, only to freeze when she realized every single person was staring at her. Then her eyes landed on the teacher.

"You're late," Amy said flatly, her tone cold enough to freeze the air.

The brunetter girl flinched. "I....uh...I can explain!"

"Excuses," Amy interrupted, her voice sharp and composed.

"As it is the first class I am leaving you today, but there should be no next time." Miss Amy said with a smile which was nothing but.

The girl stiffened. "Y-yes."

"Good, now take your seat."

The girl nodded, and went to find her seat. Her eyes landed on an empty seat. She quickly went there and sat down.

"Hmm Ok. Since it's the first day of the class, We will start with some combat training." Miss Amy announced.

"Damn!! Thats huge."

"Its amazing."

"Its cool."

"Cough..cough" A deep male voice grabbed the students attention.

"Students, I am Harry. I am your combat instructor. Nice to meet you all."

"Without any delay, I will explain. What you all are lookimg beside me are the are the wide selection of weapons here, so feel free to choose whatever weapon you deem is best for you."

As the intrsuctor finished, Ryu looked towards the weapons stack. A lot of diverse weapons were present which left him speechless. From a short sword to a spear, all sort of weapon were present.

"And before taking the weapon, registerit throught you watch on the scanner. And one more thing, if you damage the wepon you gonna have to pay for the damaged weapon."

The excited student, who were ready to take the weapon frozed. Some student got fliched at the Mr. harry warning. Most of them were of commoner background, so they don't have enough money to pay.

While some of the noble, took their desired weapon and looked at them with contempt.

"Now hurry up." Every student took the weapon whichever suitable to them.

Ryu went to the sword area and choosed a double edged long sword, which was shimmering with silver radiance.

"Good sword." he mutterred.

After picking up he went to the area where the Instructor Harry was waiting for them.

After a moment everyone chosed their suitable weapon.

"Now everyone follow me." After speaking he walked to the large area ahead.

A large expanse of gorund appeared in everyoed view. The ground was the size of two football fields, surrounded with all sort of training material. There were many small ring on the ground.

There were shooting range, practice dummies, target practice, etc.

"Alright, I am here to supervise you all so, everyone go."

"Now train!!"

At the shout of the instructor, everyone went to the ring and started sparring.

Seeing his current status, a small, satisfied smile crept across Ryu's face. His swordmanship skill once novice had advanced to rare rank. The difference was like heaven and earth.

As per the world knowledge, skiils and mastery are two entirly different concept. Skills represented special abilities or techniques that one could unleash through mana and intent. But weapon mastery… that was different. It represented control, experience, and the purity of technique — how naturally one could breathe, move, and fight with a weapon in hand.

Yet, the memory of what it took to achieve this advancement sent a shiver down his spine.

"Never again," Ryu muttered under his breath, rubbing his temple as if he could still feel that searing pain.

It was that very experience that made him hesitate to evolve his swordsmanship further — at least not until his body could withstand the strain.

After taking a deep breath, Ryu grabbed his sword.

Ryu took his stance.

The blade gleamed under the fading light, perfectly balanced in his grip. He could feel the weight of the sword

"Alright… let's see how much stronger I've gotten."

He exhaled slowly, then swung.

Swoosh!

The air split cleanly, forming a faint line of pressure that shimmered for a brief moment before fading away.

"Amazing."

Muttering under his breadth, Ryu practiced his sword.

***

Inside a spacious room, which was filled with golden chandeliers, and expensive furnishings that screamed of wealth and influence

A butler stood silently by the side, pouring tea into fine porcelain cups to a ypung man sitting comfortably on a couch.

He had neatly combed brown hair and sharp brown eyes that gleamed with pride. His handsome face, though undeniably refined, carried a smug expression. His face was plastered with the arrogance befitting the typical young master.

This was George Mason, heir to the prestigious Mason family, one of the Great Houses of the human domain.

Around him sat six other boys, clearly his minions or rather, his lackeys.who was obviously flattering him.

"Young Master, you should've seen how everyone was looking at you today!" said Tom, leaning forward eagerly.

"Especially the girls," added Dick with a grin. "I swear, half the class couldn't take their eyes off you."

Harry chimed in, his tone dripping with reverence. "Of course, that's to be expected. The Mason family's name alone commands respect."

George smirked, lifting his teacup with a graceful hand. "Hmph. Naturally. It's only right that people recognize greatness when they see it."

The lackeys burst into laughter, nodding as if he had just delivered a divine truth.

"But, how that peasant got the first rank." George spoke with an cold look.

The others followed George's gaze, exchanging quick looks before Tom spoke, "You mean that new kid… Alex Draven, right? Don't worry, Young Master. He's just a commoner, he won't last long in the same league as you."

George's smirk returned, cold and proud.

"He'd better not," he said softly, his tone carrying a hint of arrogancy . "Because if he tries…"

"…I'll make sure he learns what it means to challenge a me."
