I glanced behind Kiel, catching sight of a mirror. There, I saw Gray wearing a sly, triumphant smile. I knew it—he was the liar.
I immediately turned to him and was about to strike with my knife, but he dodged swiftly.
"You disappoint me," he said coldly.
Suddenly, a black portal opened behind me, and a hand shot out, grabbing me. I struggled desperately, eyes darting toward Kiel.
"Kiel! Help me!" I screamed.
"Luna! When you see the eight men, look for the one who has the novel Chasing Love!" he shouted.
"What?!"
"One of them is holding the book!" he yelled again.
I nodded quickly.
"Kiel! Be careful!" I shouted just before the portal swallowed me completely.
_______
Slowly, I opened my eyes and sat up. My hand instinctively went to the back of my head as I took in my surroundings.
Everything around me was purple—the entire atmosphere, like some strange dreamscape.
"Luna! Thank God you're awake!" they all said in unison.
I frowned. "How did you get in here?"
