Already in a foul mood because of what she'd just been propositioned with, she turned around and shot the young man a fierce glare. Thanks to the lewd man on the phone earlier, she currently had no goodwill toward men in general.
Sean wasn't intimidated by her hostile look. Instead, he smiled at her gently, glanced at the floor number she'd selected in the elevator, and struck up a conversation on his own initiative.
"You're heading to Bert Technology too?"
Amy ignored him. She didn't have the patience for him anyway, because her phone rang again—this time it was Bert. He told her to come see him in his office once she got back to the company.
Amy agreed and hung up. She knew exactly why Bert was calling her in. That guy must have complained to Bert already.
Whatever. Whether Bert wanted to scold her, punish her, or even fire her, she honestly didn't care.
