Chapter 9 - chapter 4 Prison:Unknow prison

A prison filled with tension. There was an old man and a man with short purple hair — that was Lensin.

"Lensin, huh? Just an adventurer? Interesting."

The old man's trembling voice rose, showing curiosity and suspicion. But he said no more. Lensin lost interest in him and tried to use his power to break the iron bars, but failed.

He was a little surprised but didn't care much because he had already thought it would be difficult to escape from this place.

Lensin sensed that this was a different dimension from normal. This was a new dimension, which he knew because the air and oxygen were different from his original world.

He sat on the hard bed to analyze how to escape from this place. While thinking, a voice suddenly sounded.

"Wake up. It's time for food. After you eat, you have to work."

The voice was clear and harsh. A large, strong-looking man entered the prison and looked at the cages in front of him. After speaking, he talked with the prison guard.

"Put handcuffs on them and take them to the cafeteria."

After the conversation, all the guards came out and opened the cages of the prisoners. A calm-faced man opened Lensin's cage and put handcuffs on him.

That man had blonde hair, black eyes, and was tall. He looked at Lensin strangely but said nothing. Lensin felt his gaze but remained silent.

After the handcuffs were on, they were taken to the cafeteria. On the way, Lensin saw people arguing — a small woman with pink hair and a large bald man.

Though they argued, it wasn't loud enough for Lensin to hear, but he didn't care and continued walking. The corridor was long with only a little light.

Until he arrived at a place with hundreds of tables and chairs, where many men and women were walking around. The food looked unappetizing; plates, bowls, spoons, and forks seemed unclean.

Lensin sat at a table — a long iron table with sturdy wooden chairs. The noise there was annoying for Lensin. He was the only one sitting at his table, unlike others.

Other tables were crowded and uncomfortable, but no one sat with Lensin, which felt odd. Guards and people around looked at him suspiciously but probably thought it normal because he was new to the prison.

Then, a teenage girl about 16-17 years old came to sit with him. The girl had white hair, emotionless black eyes, yet she was elegant. She sat across from him. Also, the old man who had spoken to him in the cage sat beside him.

He sat next to Lensin but not too close, smiling while holding his food tray. Lensin noticed him and asked the old man he had talked to before.

"I've told you about myself. Who are you?"

The old man perked up slightly, looked at him, and gave a dry laugh before slowly answering.

"My name is Settee. I came to this prison because I was misunderstood — accused of killing a noble because I sneaked into that noble's house. I'm homeless."

Lensin looked at him coldly and laughed inwardly. He didn't quite believe Settee's words because he didn't know him — it might be just a pity story.

"Deserved it."

Lensin said coldly. Settee's body trembled slightly. His spoon fell to the floor before he gave a dry laugh, already expecting Lensin's reaction.

Lensin looked at the girl opposite him, signaling subtly for Settee to tell him about her. Settee understood and whispered — though it didn't really sound like a whisper.

"That girl used to be nobility, but 3-4 years ago, a dragon — which I told you about — attacked her family's territory. The place was destroyed."

He sighed and continued.

"Yes, no one survived except her. It shattered her mind. She was taken in by another noble family and forced to marry a son who seemed bad. During the wedding, she stabbed everyone there with her knife. That's why she's imprisoned here."

Settee spoke sadly. Lensin felt the pain in his words. Everyone who knew her pitied her. Lensin listened but showed no reaction. Settee continued.

"People believe it was the family she married's plan because the knife she used was found in their mansion. It was a scheme to kill the nobles at the wedding."

Lensin had thought so already. Marrying someone without a family usually involved benefits or schemes. Help in this world isn't given easily without gain.

"That's enough."

Lensin spoke softly, seeing the girl starting to stare at them. Settee nodded understandingly. After eating, a group of people entered.

"Go to work."

The voice was loud and harsh. After saying that, the man left. The guards came to the people in the cafeteria and led them out.

The blonde man from before came to Lensin. Lensin understood that this blonde was probably his overseer in this place. He put the handcuffs back on Lensin and led him out of the cafeteria.

Lensin kept walking. He felt the vastness of this place. He walked behind hundreds of people, with an old man beside him — that was Settee. Along the way, he saw the small pink-haired woman and the bald man arguing, just like before.

"Are they argument again?"

A shaky and annoyed voice sounded beside him — it was Settee's voice. He walked wearily and stumbled slightly.

"That small woman is Lemiw. She's a thief who stole from many nobles. The other one, the large bald man, is named Attro. He's a former soldier who killed other soldiers for certain reason-"

"Be quiet."

Lensin said harshly because he saw those two looking their way but chose to ignore them — even when they started walking toward them.

"What are you two talking about?"

The small pink-haired woman shouted, asking them Lensin began to sense the commotion.

Many people started staring at them, especially a large bald man who was walking toward them

Lensin sighed and became even more cautious.
