{Violet's Pov}
Seeing how weird Uncle Matt behaved after he helped win a plushy at the toy booth made me feel very uneasy. Dan and I exchanged looks as we were picked up by Uncle Matt who rushed towards the car with immense speed, he placed us gently at the back sit but his movements were hurried. He got into the car with a stoic expression on his face driving as fast as he could, we stared at him through the rear wondering what suddenly made his emotion shift so soon.
This is an unusual behaviour coming from someone like Uncle Matt who is always bright and playful.
"Dad, what's wrong?" Dan asked a worried look plastered on his face as he stared at his father's face through the rear.
"It's nothing kids" He tried to assure us mustering a smile that looks more of a crying expression than a smile as he looked at us through the rearview mirror.
Unlike before, he sped through the road without caring about being trailed by the police or getting a speed ticket, the once lively atmosphere became tense.
The car came to a halt at the mansion's gate, the door to the car was slammed open by Uncle Matt as he rushed through the garden heading towards the main door. His actions made Dan and I jump up in fear. "This is bad, I've never seen Uncle Matt this worked up, do you think something happened?" I asked looking towards Dan who looks as anxious as I was. "I don't know but I think something is off, don't you think someone should have come for us by now?" He said stating the obvious. His words only made me feel uneasy, my stomach churning as bad thoughts creeps into my mind.
Nooooooooo
A loud scream reached our ears making us jolt in fright, the voice sounded like my Uncle's, fear gripped me as continuous screams made its way to the gate. Fearing the worst, I left the car running through the gate, the sight that met me as I entered the garden made me freeze in fear. "W..what happened here?" I asked my voice shaking as I tried to speak. Before me laid a gruesome sight, the once beautiful garden now covered in blood and dead bodies. I stood still not knowing how long I stood there in shock, another pained scream rang out in the garden drawing me out of my daze.
Gazing ahead to see where the scream was coming from, I saw that it was Dan, he was crouched beside the corpse of a wolf. "Stan! Stan!!!" He shouted at the top of his lungs as he shooks the body as if he was expecting it to stand up. I ran towards the end of the garden not caring or wondering how he got past me without me knowing or how he got to the end of the garden so fast. "Stan wake up, you can't leave like this", he cried as he hugged the the huge wolf. I was dumbfounded by scene before me. 'Stan? When did he get a wolf this big and why did he name it after his teacher?' I thought looking around in the process only to find more dead bodies of huge wolves and people scattered at the entrance of the mansion. "What happened here?" I muttered my eyes scanning my surrounding until it landed at the door left ajar.
Running to the door as fast as I could, praying and hoping for the safety of my family. Passing through the door the scene that greeted me left me devastated, my strength left my body making my legs give way as I fell to me knees. Tears filled my eyes falling down uncontrollably as my eyes took in the sight of the living room. "No! No!! This isn't real, it just a dream. It's not real, it's not real!!" I cried trying to convince myself that it was just a dream.
{Narrator's Pov}
In the living room once filled with beautiful birthday decorations and a lively atmosphere now looks like a scene straight out of a horror movie. The once spotless wall is now covered in blood, the decorations that was meant to beautify the room now made it look eerie. The once pristine white tiles is now painted with blood and bodies scattered around the house.
Matt kneels at the centre of the room holding two bodies in his arms as he screams, his face contorted in pain. "My sweet Laura, oh my sweet Laura" he said creasing his wife's face as tears as he gazed at her tenderly, tears filling his already red eyes. "Please don't leave me, please" he begged tightening his grip on her hoping she would come back to him. "You promised to stay with me forever, you said you'd never leave me" he cried in pure agony as he rests his head against hers. "Aurelia!!!" He sobbed hugging his younger sister as past memories floods his mind. Memories of her being mischievous, of her defiance, the stubborn look she always has on her face and her bright yet contagious smile.
He cried like a baby as he holds the two most important people in his life. His wolf Onyx was also grieving, letting out pained howls as he stares at the lifeless body of his mate and how cruel the killer was to cut open her belly not sparing the little one either. Just the thought of it made both Matt and Onyx cry out in agony.
Violet stood up her legs shaking and her steps unsteady as she walked toward her father, his throat was sliced open his eyes fixed somewhere else as if he was killed before he could even comprehend what was happening. Tears started to pour down like rain, the pain she felt looking at her loved ones in this state was immense. She moved on to her mother's side screaming and crying.
"Mom you said it was just a bad dream, you said it won't happen" she said crying her heart out holding on to it being one of her bad dreams.
Foot steps were heard rushing as Dan entered through the door his eyes taking in the situation as he froze at the door. The footsteps behind him didn't stop it only grew louder as if a large group of people was heading towards this direction. Seeing the state of his entire family was in made the little boy faint in shock.
