Chapter 127 - Perfect Chaos

JAY-JAY POV

As soon as we entered Kit's Ice‑cream shop, the sweet scent of sugar and vanilla wrapped around us.

We froze in surprise — Ci‑n, David, and Mayo were already there, lounging at a corner table like they owned the place.

They spotted me instantly and rushed over.

"Hey, Jay!" Ci‑n said, pulling me into a quick hug, his grin mischievous.

"Hi, Ci‑n," I replied, smiling as I hugged him back.

David's gentle voice followed, soft and warm. "You look radiant, Jay. How are you feeling?" He squeezed my hand lightly, his eyes full of quiet concern.

"Thank you, David," I said softly, smiling at his gentle concern. "What are you guys doing here?"

Mayo grinned, bouncing on his heels. "Well, I came here to meet Kit," he announced proudly. "These two wanted to come along." He jabbed his thumb toward Ci‑n and David.

I nodded, amused. "Figures."

Just then, Kit appeared from behind the counter, elegant as always, his smile smooth and knowing. "Hey, Jay and Keifer — soon‑to‑be Mom and Dad," he greeted warmly.

"Hi, Kit," I said, returning his smile.

Keifer squeezed my hand, his chest puffing with pride at the title. "You hear that, Jay? Even Kit's calling us Mom and Dad now."

Mayo smirked, leaning against a chair. "Don't get too comfortable, Keif once the babies arrive, you'll be downgraded to diaper‑duty specialist."

Ci-n laughed so hard he nearly fell over. "I call dibs on teaching them how to eat ice‑cream for breakfast!"

David shook his head, his voice calm but amused. "Or maybe we should focus on keeping them safe first."

Kit chuckled, sliding a tray of sundaes onto the table. "Safe, spoiled, and surrounded by chaos. That's the perfect recipe for this family."

I giggled, resting my hand on my belly. "Chaos is already here. They're just waiting to join the party."

"Let's go and sit down and talk," Keifer said, his voice gentle but firm as he guided me toward a chair. He pulled it out, waiting until I lowered myself carefully before sliding it closer to the table.

I sat down, my hands automatically resting on my belly, protective and instinctive. The weight of three little lives pressed against me, a reminder of the chaos waiting to arrive.

Keifer leaned down, brushing a kiss across the top of my head. "Comfortable?" he asked softly, his hand lingering on my shoulder.

I nodded, smiling faintly. "Better now."

Kit and the others gathered around, their voices filling the shop with noise and laughter.

"So, Jay, what brings you here?" Kit asked, his tone smooth, eyes twinkling.

"What do you think? She's been craving ice‑cream since we came from our appointment," Keifer answered, his arm draped protectively around me.

Kit tilted his head. "Alright then, what do you want?"

I smiled sheepishly. "Ice‑cream with salty chips and hot sauce."

The room went silent. Every single one of them stared at me like I'd just committed a crime against dessert.

"What?" I asked defensively, clutching my belly.

Ci‑n threw his hands up dramatically. "Jay, you're destroying ice‑cream for me!"

David's voice was calm but honest. "Jay, no offence… but cravings are getting the best of you."

I turned to Keifer, my lips trembling, tears threatening to spill. "Keif, they're bullying me."

Keifer immediately tightened his grip on my hand, his voice firm. "Kit, you heard her order. We want that."

"On it," Kit said smoothly, signaling one of his workers.

As the order went in, David leaned closer, his tone gentle. "So… how was the appointment?"

"It was fine," I said softly, my eyes glued to the door, waiting for the tray to appear.

Ci‑n smirked, leaning back in his chair. "Jay, if you keep staring at the door, the ice‑cream might run away."

Mayo snorted, nearly choking on his laughter. "She'll run to catch the ice‑cream!"

The whole table erupted, their voices bouncing off the walls.

I buried my face in Keifer's shoulder, cheeks burning, but my heart warm.

Surrounded by teasing, chaos, and love — this was my family.

The ice‑cream finally arrived, the tray sliding onto the table with a clink.

"Yes, thank you," I said quickly, grabbing the bowl like it was treasure.

I dug in happily, savoring the strange mix of sweet and spicy, when I noticed Keifer staring at me.

"What? What do you want?" I asked, spoon halfway to my mouth.

"Nothing," he answered, though his lips curved into a secretive smile.

Before I could press him, Keifer cleared his throat. "Okay, everyone — we've decided to do a gender reveal party at our house tomorrow at 9 a.m."

Ci‑n leaned forward, eyes narrowing. "Does that mean you already know the genders?"

"No," I said firmly, shaking my head. "We'll find out with you."

Keifer nodded, his hand brushing mine. "After she finishes her ice‑cream, we have to go shopping."

Ci‑n groaned dramatically. "Oh, I wish I could help you guys, but Rakki called me. I have to meet her." His grin was wide, excitement buzzing in his voice.

I tilted my head, smiling faintly. "You're coming tomorrow, right?"

Ci‑n smirked, leaning back in his chair. "I wouldn't miss it."

"Ask Rakki to come tomorrow," I said, my voice hopeful.

Ci‑n grinned, already pulling out his phone. "Sure, she would love to come."

My heart warmed at the thought. Rakki had always been part of our chaos, and having her there tomorrow felt right.

Keifer squeezed my hand, his smile boyish. "The more, the merrier. But you know what that means, Jay…"

I tilted my head. "What?"

He smirked. "Triple the babies, triple the secrets, and now triple the noise when everyone shows up."

"Sure, but now we have to go and get ready for tomorrow," I said, pushing myself up from the chair.

Keifer nodded, his grin soft. "Come tomorrow, guys," I added, waving as we bid goodbye to Ci‑n, David, Mayo, and Kit.

Once we stepped outside, I wrapped my arm around Keifer's. "So, where should we go?" I asked, leaning into him.

"We should find a dress for you," he said, his tone firm but affectionate.

"I want a blue dress," I declared, leaving no room for arguments. "Because I want a mini‑Keifer."

He chuckled, eyes sparkling. "Then I want a pink shirt… because I want a mini‑Jay."

I laughed, shaking my head. "You're ridiculous."

"Ridiculous for you," he teased, brushing his thumb across my cheek. "Besides, tomorrow everyone will see us matching — blue and pink. It'll be perfect."

I blushed, my hand instinctively resting on my belly. "Perfect chaos," I whispered.

Keifer leaned down, his voice low and certain. "Chaos we created. And tomorrow, we'll share it with everyone."
