The two exchanged a brief struggle, neither willing to yield. Callista's physical condition limited the movements available to her, but her upper-body strength was more than enough to make the situation unexpectedly difficult.
Eventually, Zion managed to free his wrist.
"All right, all right."
He moved back and gave her some distance.
"I won't tease you anymore," Callista said, though the amusement in her eyes suggested she had enjoyed every second of it.
Zion sat up and adjusted his clothes.
He gave her a dark look.
'She really is troublesome.'
Yet despite his irritation, there was no real anger in his heart.
