Outside Neon Square, Zion spotted Callista waiting for him not far from the entrance.
The moment she saw him approaching, the corner of her lips lifted into a faint smile.
"Is everything settled?"
Zion nodded. "Settled."
Oswald had come looking for trouble, so Zion had simply returned it in full. His way of dealing with people had always been straightforward. If someone dared bare their fangs at him, he would make sure they remembered exactly who they had chosen to provoke.
Zion then glanced at the shopping bags beside her, then raised an eyebrow.
"You seem unusually generous today. Those clothes weren't cheap."
He had noticed the prices earlier.
It reminded him of the first time Zion had met her. Back then, he had tried to charge her a hundred gold coins for them, and she had behaved as though he had demanded her entire fortune. She had looked so stingy that day, as if spending even a single gold coin caused her physical pain.
