Chapter 1 - The [yes] button

—I'm Blake Vega. And this… is the end of my miserable life.

The young man stood on the Skyfall Bridge, looking down.

The streetlights illuminated his tired face, revealing deep dark circles under his lifeless brown eyes and dry lips.

The night wind ruffled his hair, messing it up.

There were no tears on his face. Only a whisper that trembled as much as his fingers.

Because he knew that his farewell wouldn't matter to anyone.

Blake was about to jump and end all his misery when suddenly he remembered everything that had led him to that point.

It all began with a lie dressed in red.

Blake worked in a warehouse in Aurora City.

It wasn't the best job, but it was enough to survive.

Until she appeared.

A customer with a perfect smile, expensive perfume that spoke of status, and a superior gaze.

She had asked him for help to move a box.

He, as always, obeyed without hesitation when suddenly she tripped, fell on him… and without a second's doubt, screamed.

—He touched me! That disgusting man touched me! —she said, her voice trembling.

The guards arrived within seconds, and the cameras showed nothing clear.

But it didn't matter.

She was beautiful, and he was just a nobody with a shitty job.

—It's not the first time he's done this —she claimed.

—We can't allow this kind of behavior —they said.

And just like that, in a matter of minutes, Blake lost everything. His job, which was the only thing he had to survive, and a fine he was forced to pay for "emotional damages."

He had been humiliated in front of everyone.

Now he was there, standing on the bridge.

The river shimmered with the reflections of the city.

Neon lights, holograms, giant ads promising success.

Everything he never had—and of course, never would.

—One step. Just one step and it all ends— Blake said, closing his eyes.

He could feel the wind slicing against his skin.

And then… it appeared.

A bright blue screen, floating in midair. It was like a dream.

The Supreme Playboy System has been activated.

For every woman you conquer from now on, your fortune will double.

Activate? [Yes] [No]

Blake opened his eyes.

—What the hell…? —he whispered.

He looked around. No one was there. It was just him and that floating screen in front of his face.

—Definitely hallucinating… —he said.

—Or maybe I'm already dead.

But the message was still there. Burned into his vision, waiting for his answer.

[Yes]

[No]

Blake let out a bitter laugh.

—What does it matter?

He pressed [Yes].

The world changed. Something inside him ignited. A warmth ran through his body.

As if someone had cleaned off years of built-up dust.

He looked at his reflection in a dark nearby window. Same black hair, messy from the wind.

Dark circles under his eyes, pale skin from sleepless nights. A jaw hardened more by anger than genetics. Eyes, dark as the night itself.

Skill Unlocked: "Alpha Instinct"

You can detect the hidden interest of any woman who looks at you for more than 3 seconds.

Blake blinked.

—Instinct… what?

Then he looked around. Nothing. He looked along the bridge, at the river, at the city.

And then, he saw her.

A woman crossing the street. Dark hair, firm steps, and a distracted gaze. She looked at him. Three seconds passed. Four.

An icon appeared above her head.

Blake stepped back.

—This can't be real…

The woman kept walking, unaware of anything strange.

Nearby Target:

Name: Camila Rodríguez.

Interest: 0%

Location: Night District.

Blake swallowed hard.

—This… this has to be my imagination, right?

Even so, he gathered courage, fixed himself up as best he could, and crossed the street. Camila glanced at him. The icon remained above her head.

—Hi —he said.

She stopped. Looked at him. Not with disdain—more with curiosity.

—Do we know each other?— she asked.

—No. But I'd like to change that.

Camila laughed.

—Are you new around here?

—Let's say I'm starting something… different.— Blake said, scratching his head.

Camila watched him with a raised eyebrow, as if trying to figure out whether Blake was just another city lunatic or someone different.

Interest: 3%

Blake swallowed. She barely saw him as a stranger. If he wanted to change that, he had to do something.

—You know —Blake said with a half-smile— I don't usually talk to strangers on the street. But with you… I wanted to make an exception.

Camila looked surprised. She wasn't expecting that answer.

Interest: 5%

—Wow… —she replied, laughing— Do you always use lines that rehearsed?

Blake shook his head.

—No. Actually, I'm terrible at rehearsing things. Natural talent, I guess.

Camila held his gaze a few seconds longer.

Interest: 8%

Blake felt a tingling at the back of his neck.

It was as if every right word, every sincere gesture, pushed the gauge a little higher.

The "Language of Seduction" wasn't unlocked yet, but the "Alpha Instinct" whispered what to say and how to hold eye contact without seeming desperate.

—Well, Blake —she said, crossing her arms— what are you doing here, in the middle of the night, on a bridge like this? You don't look like a tourist.

Blake took a deep breath. He couldn't tell her the truth. He couldn't confess that he had been about to jump.

—I was… clearing my head, looking at the sky —he said calmly— I work nearby, and sometimes I come here to watch the city.

Camila raised an eyebrow.

—To think? About what?

Blake smiled wryly.

—About how not to become just another gear in the machine. Aurora City is beautiful, but it also devours people's souls.

Camila looked at him with curiosity.

—That sounds pretty philosophical for someone I just met on a bridge —she said, with a slight smile.

Blake scratched his neck, pretending awkwardness.

—I'd rather that than just be normal.

Camila let out a short, genuine laugh.

—Well, at least you're honest about that.

Blake seized the moment.

—And you, what are you doing walking alone at this hour? Doesn't seem like the safest place.

She looked at him sideways, as if weighing whether the question came from genuine concern or an attempt to get closer.

The "Alpha Instinct" whispered to hold her gaze, firm.

Camila sighed.

—Let's just say I needed some air. Sometimes the city suffocates me too.

The icon went up again.

Interest: 22%

Blake smiled to himself.

—Hey, Camila —he said with a lopsided grin— I'm not exactly a millionaire, but… how about I buy you a coffee? I know a place that's open late.

Camila looked at him, surprised.

—Coffee at this hour? —she asked, amused.

Blake shrugged.

—If the coffee doesn't convince you… we can always blame whoever made it.

—Haha, don't be like that— Camila laughed, this time more naturally.

The system pulsed before his eyes.

Progress reached: 50%

Reward Unlocked: $100 transferred to digital account.

New Skill Available: "Language of Seduction."

Blake felt a tingling in his throat, as if his words had gained new weight. Every phrase carried a rhythm that captivated.

Camila looked at him closely, as if suddenly he had stopped being just another stranger.

—Alright, Blake. I'll take that coffee. But if it turns out terrible, you'll owe me something better.

Blake smiled confidently.

—Deal.

As they walked together toward the small late-night café, Blake couldn't stop thinking about what had just happened.

A system? Impossible. And even more so, with a woman who, minutes earlier, wouldn't have even looked at him.

Blake thought this was his golden chance to change his life drastically—

and this was the first step.
