Clara wasn't sure she should open the door. Who could possibly be knocking at our door at this hour? She wondered as the knock came again, firmer this time.
She took a deep breath, wiped her cheek quickly, and opened it.
"Sofia?" Clara blinked. "What are you doing here? How did you even get into the estate, and how did you know which room I'm staying in?" Clara was shocked. Of all the people she suspected to be at the door, Riley wasn't even an option. Her mind had rushed to Margaret, Ethan, or Robert, but Riley? not in a million guesses.
Riley stepped in the room, answering casually.
"Don't stress over how I got in. Your husband gave our names, mine and Sofia's, as approved visitors. We can come in and out of the estate whenever we want."
Clara blinked again. "He..he did that?"
Riley nodded like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
