Chapter 1 - Back to the Beginning

"Who are you?! What's your purpose in approaching us?!"

"Why do you seem to know everything? Did you plan all of this from the start?"

"It's all because of you! If you hadn't come, none of this would've happened!"

"Impossible... You say you just wanted to save us? No—there must be some hidden motive!"

"Could we have been wrong all along...? Captain, I'm sorry..."

"No! I don't want you to die! Please... don't leave us!"

The Captain stared blankly at the woman clutching her hands. Her vision blurred, and even the voice reaching her ears faded into a distant hum. Who was she?

The light in her eyes dimmed. Even the world seemed to abandon her.

Was this... the end?

Yes. It should've ended long ago, shouldn't it? Looking back, her life felt like a cruel joke.

She had arrived in this world full of hope—believing she could save them. But from the very beginning, she was misunderstood, rejected, and never truly trusted.

Creating a world without pain was nearly impossible. Yet somehow, she had succeeded.

Still... what did her desire to save them matter to anyone else?

She was just a foolish dreamer who gave everything for a beautiful illusion.

If there's a next life... no, let there be none. Living once was exhausting enough. Now, it was time to rest.

As her final thoughts faded, the Captain closed her eyes. Amidst anguished cries, she met her end.

Silence.

The black-haired girl before them had surrendered to eternal peace. Stop shouting. Let her rest.

If your tears are truly for her—this girl whose eyes no longer held light—then stop. They came too late.

Or perhaps... just in time?

If you still carry a shred of mercy, even if it was never meant for her, then be silent.

She's tired. Whether foolish, stubborn, sincere, or selfless.

Whether you trusted her or doubted her—now, be quiet.

She, the black-haired girl known only as the Captain, is gone.

You know this, don't you... dear Kiana?

Kiana knelt beside the Captain's lifeless body, her gaze hollow.

She reached out, then hesitated. She didn't dare touch her, afraid to disturb her final slumber.

Clad in regal garments, the laws of the world bent to her fingertips.

She was beautiful—radiant even in death. The Captain had always guided her toward the light.

And now, she had succeeded. Kiana had become the God of Earth(Herrscher of Finality). The Honkai was quelled.

The world had a future. No one was left behind. No one was abandoned.

"I won't leave you behind. I won't abandon you again."

Kiana whispered to the Captain's broken form.

"No one is left behind. No one is abandoned. That includes you."

As her words faded, a brilliant light bloomed at her fingertip.

It grew, illuminating the world.

The Herrscher of Finality would return everything to the beginning. She would erase the tragedy from its source.

Some tried to stop her—but none succeeded.

With Kiana's will, the power of Finality enveloped the Earth.

Time began to rewind.

She didn't need to go back fifty thousand years—just to the moment that stubborn girl first arrived.

As the final light vanished, weakness surged through Kiana's body.

So weak...

She struggled to rise in the snow. Her small, fragile body couldn't survive long in the cold. She had to find the Captain.

But after glancing around, she gave up. Her half-raised body sank back into the snow.

She remembered now—this was where the Captain first met her.

Back then, she had mistaken the Captain for a child-snatcher. The Captain had tried to help her, only to be chased away.

That encounter had shattered the Valkyries' trust in the Captain.

Kiana regretted it deeply. If only she had trusted her...

Maybe the rift wouldn't have grown so wide.

Maybe... their child would've been born.

Even if they were both girls—Honkai energy was omnipotent!

Suppressing her excitement, Kiana steadied herself.

She wouldn't let the Captain slip away again. This time, the Captain would be hers.

One Valkyrie was enough. She and the Captain could save the world together.

So she waited—half-buried in snow, flushed red from the cold.

She would wait until the Captain came to rescue her.

Surely, someone as soft-hearted as the Captain wouldn't refuse.

Even if she was taking advantage of that kindness... it was for the Captain's own good. She'd make it up to her.

Resolved, Kiana lay still.

Her tiny hands and head peeked out from the snowdrift.

But no one came.

Unease crept in.

The Captain should've appeared by now. In the last cycle, she had arrived immediately.

That was why Kiana had suspected her—she'd shown up too conveniently.

Just like a child trafficker.

But now... she was late.

Had something gone wrong? Had the Captain gotten lost? Attacked?

Images of the Captain dying alone haunted Kiana's mind.

Just as she was about to crawl out and search, a rustle came from the bushes.

Kiana dove back in, feigning helplessness.

Her eyes shimmered with urgency, despair, and innocence.

Perfect.

Even the perceptive Captain wouldn't suspect her true intentions.

She would rush to save her—and then she'd never escape.

Hehehe~ Then they'd have two children. Two little girls. One of them would look like the Captain...

Lost in fantasy, Kiana didn't notice the figure approaching.

The slender woman stepped closer, concern in her voice.

"Ki... little one, are you alright?"

Snapped back to reality, Kiana looked up.

She was still annoyed at how time reversal had nearly ruined her cute image.

But then she froze.

"How could she be... so big..."
