Chapter 8 - Chapter 7:The pack's Territory(continued)

Aria's heart was racing as the pack sprang into action. She and Luna were swept up in the chaos, with Asher leading the way. They moved swiftly through the cabin, gathering supplies and preparing for battle.

Alpha Ryker's voice rang out, his commands clear and authoritative. "Asher, take Aria and Luna to the safe house. We'll handle the rogue pack."

Asher nodded, his eyes locking onto Aria's. "Come on," he said, his voice low and urgent. "We need to get you two to safety."

Aria felt a surge of frustration. She didn't want to be hidden away while the pack fought for their lives. But Asher's expression brooked no argument.

They set off through the forest, the darkness seeming to swallow them whole. Aria stumbled, her foot catching on a root. Asher's arm wrapped around her waist, steadying her.

"Careful," he whispered, his breath warm against her ear.

Aria felt a shiver run down her spine as she pulled away, her heart racing. She couldn't let herself get distracted. They had to get to the safe house.

After what felt like hours, they reached a small cottage on the outskirts of the forest. Asher ushered them inside, his eyes scanning the surroundings before nodding in satisfaction.

"Stay here," he said, his voice low. "I'll come back for you when it's safe."

Aria watched as he disappeared into the night, her heart pounding in her chest. What was happening out there? Was the pack okay?

Luna's hand found hers, her fingers cold and clammy. "Aria, I'm scared," she whispered.

Aria pulled her sister into a hug. "We'll be okay," she said, trying to sound calmer than she felt. "Asher will keep us safe."

But as the minutes ticked by, Aria's doubts grew. What if Asher couldn't protect them? What if the rogue pack was too strong?

Suddenly, a loud crash echoed from outside. Aria's heart skipped a beat as she heard the sound of growling and snarling.

"What's happening?" Luna whispered, her eyes wide with fear.

Aria's heart was racing. "I don't know," she whispered back. "But I think we're about to find out..."

The door burst open, and Aria's world went dark.
