Opening my eyes and looking around, I notice that I have a dagger soaked in blood in my hand. Looking more closely, I see that an unknown word was engraved on the blade, in a language incomprehensible to me.

<<ĂeƘyƬm... What does that mean?>> I wonder, puzzled. I'm so focused on understanding what it means, I don't realize I have a body underneath me. At some point, I hear a rumbling of pain that makes me look down at the ground. I wide-opened my eyes, surprised to see Kaellen with stab wounds on his chest and right thigh. I also notice a small cut on the cheek. The hand holding the dagger begins to shake and continued until I hear a metallic noise, a sign that I have released my grip on the object.

My eyes are beginning to get wet and I try to stop the blood flowing out of his wounds.

<> I say, sobbing, and then I start crying aloud. Later, I hear familiar voices whispering to me that it's my fault. Initially, I hear my boss's unpleasant voice; later, those of my colleagues and family members join. Everyone accuses me, and gradually, the intensity of their voices increases. After a while, I perceive words in an unknown language, the intonation of which is more gentle. Not knowing what he is saying, I assume he is accusing me. I open my eyes wide, distinctly recognizing that voice; it's Kaellen's.

<>

These are his precise words, the meaning of which is unknown to me. As time goes on, the voices intensify, becoming deafening and causing me a severe headache.

<> I implore, but the voices persist, and in a heartbroken tone, I keep repeating 'enough' continuously. I cover my ears with my hands in an attempt not to hear, but the accusations reach me anyway.

<> I exclaim when the pain becomes unbearable. A powerful roar suddenly resounds, and looking up, I am stunned at the sight of that majestic creature. Initially, the distance prevents clear recognition, but as it approaches, I realize it's a dragon. Its shape appears blurred, as if it wants to hide from my presence. Its shape appears blurred, as if it wants to hide from my presence. It opens its jaws and, after getting closer to me, it spits fire, a deep red color that surrounds me. I feel the flames envelop me and I try to scream, feeling my skin burn. Failing to do so, perhaps because of the shock, I bring my head back and, finally, I cry out loud.

~

I wake up with a start and with cold sweat running down my back. I touch my cheeks and feel them wet, a sign that I'm crying. I sit on the bed cautiously, trying not to wake the other two. I sit on the bed cautiously, trying not to wake the other two. I try to calm myself down, but I can't. It's as if the air has stuck in my throat and I start gasping, trying to channel as much air as possible. I put my hands to my throat, but I notice them shaking.

I feel strong arms clutching me and jolt in fear, not expecting such a gesture.

<> Kael whispers to me. I breathe a trembling sigh and lean more on him. <> he continues to console me. I take small breaths, trying to regulate the frantic beats of my heart.

I turn my eyes for a moment and notice that Kaellen is still asleep.

<> I ask Kael with a whisper. He stares at me with a smirk and gives me a little kiss on the forehead. I feel my cheeks warming up.

<> he replies. I would like to ask him more questions, but he interrupts me by lying down on the bed again, hugging him. <> he gently tells me, even though there is authority in his tone. I don't want to fall back asleep, but thanks to the regular sound of his heart, I do.

-

I feel sleep slipping away and, with infinite calmness, I open my eyes. I blink several times to get used to the light. When I can, I open them completely and am almost startled. I look at the two guys who are staring at me-I don't know for how long-with my heart going crazy. I give a little embarrassed smile, and they reciprocate.

<> exclaims Kael.

<> says Kaellen at the same time. I blush and sit down to escape their gaze. "I have to be careful not to stare too much into their eyes because I risk getting lost in them" I reflect and then blush like a tomato. I cover my face with my hands and I hear the two laughing out loud.

<> I whisper to myself. While I'm in the midst of embarrassment, I remember that I didn't ask Zeriff what the enemy I'm going to face looks like.

<> exclaims Kaellen. I look at one and then at the other, and I am struck by the appearance of the silver. He looks much more mature and has grown his beard too. "He's cool like this, too" I think with my mouth open in shock.

<> he says, addressing Kael. He nods and, after staring at me, ruffles my hair and then kisses me on the forehead.

<> he exclaims, then disappears, leaving behind some glitter.

I remain frozen for a few moments, reflecting on the most appropriate approach to take. I keep looking at the void, thinking about what to do, but Kaellen precedes me.

<> he asks me.

<>

<> he explains, maintaining eye contact. I listen carefully; it is essential not to neglect any details, as there are other rules in this world to consider.

<> I ask another question and receive a sweet smile as an answer.

<> he responds gently, and the smile never leaves him.

<> I exclaim, spurting joy from all pores. <>

<>

I nod, and looking at my surroundings, I notice two chairs positioned further forward with a three-dimensional star projecting a completely black image. As I wait, Kaellen sits by my side and gently shakes my hand. I look at him, surprised by this gesture, and he sketches a sweet smile.

<> he asks me, noting my goofy expression. I nod, not knowing what to say, and as a result, he shakes my hand even more.

<> I ask him. He nods in agreement and snorts, annoyed, making me laugh aloud.

-

We've been waiting for some time and, in the meantime, I'm watching his hand fiddling with it.

<> he whispers in my ear, and I look up, smiling happily. I stare at the screen until it starts to shine, a sign that Kael is about to wake up. He blinks for a few seconds, and when he keeps them open, his surroundings are still blurred.

<> a voice exclaims in the distance as the curtains are opened. A warm light floods the room, illuminating it. I remain dazzled for a few seconds, and when I get used to the light, I stare at the canopy of his huge bed. He gets up and I see the waitstaff waiting for him.

<> I ask in amazement. Kaellen looks at me and nods, laughing with amusement.

<> he orders her kindly. The maid leaves, and I hear a door open.

<> I exclaim in amazement.

<> he asks me and I nod thrillingly. He lets himself go with a warm smile, and I blush. "He's too gorgeous when he smiles like that" I think.

<> he exclaims, making me blush even more.

<> I say in a petulant tone, making him laugh. He jokingly messes up my hair.

<> he replies. I let go of his hand and, to stay closer to him, I sit on his lap.

<> I inform him.

<> he replies, surrounding me with his muscular arms.

We look again at the image and see that Kaellen has already changed.

<> I whisper with a hint of disappointment. I feel Kael holding me tighter.

<> he whispers in my ear in an amused tone. I blush visibly from the embarrassment of being heard.

I look at the screen and notice that Kaellen opens the majestic, polished wooden door of his room. He leaves the room, and on both the right and the left, there is a long corridor. I look forward to the whole thing. Dragons are depicted on the ceiling, and the floor features water-green tiles with drops inside. All the depictions are animated. The same dynamic is observed on the doors, adorned with climbers and dragons; some rest, others play, and still others remain motionless to observe. The only normal element in this scenario is the gray wall.

<> I exclaimed with astonishment.

"It's actually the castle I live in with my parents," he replies.

Meanwhile, Kaellen continues to walk to the end of the corridor and opens the door, finding himself in front of another smaller corridor. He continues until he reaches a spiral staircase and descends it calmly.

He arrives at a huge hall, which looks like a reception hall, and after entering another door, he reaches the dining room.

Even in this environment, the surrounding space arouses profound wonder in me. Like the hallway, the ceiling is adorned with diamond-embellished candlesticks. In the middle of the room there is a long, light wooden plank, accompanied by its respective chairs, which have the same climbing elements that extend to the backrest.

<> exclaims Kael. I look at the two women sitting at the table. The one at the head of the table has the same build as Kael, only she is surrounded by a wavy lilac helmet.

<> I say, letting a warm smile spread across my face. As a thank you, I get a quick kiss on my head that causes butterflies in my stomach.

I look at the other woman and see that her hair color is identical to Kael's, although it is straight. Her fox-shaped eyes are a magnificent emerald green. Her face is round, and when she smiles, she has dimples on her cheeks.

"Welcome, son! Sit down as well," his mother at the head of the table encourages him, indicating with her arm that he should take his seat in the chair to her left. He complies, smiling at both of them with affection.

They start eating breakfast, and I hear their dialogue, but I'm still surprised by the sight of his parents. I have a distinct feeling that I've met them before, even though I can't remember where or when.
