Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Unkindness (2)

The next morning, Isaac rubbed his eyes, sat up from the bed, and was about to call out "Mama" as usual, but he paused the moment he opened his mouth.

Then he quickly put on his clothes and ran out.

"Mama, Mama! There's another ship!" Isaac came to his mother's side and tugged on her sleeve.

"What? How… how did another one come?" Salai's first thought was that it was a pirate ship, but she still needed to confirm, as it could be a merchant ship or a Marine vessel.

"My sweet Isaac, can you describe what the ship looks like?"

"Hmm… black, very big, with a strange cross on the sail, and five circles above the cross…" Isaac described it with his limited vocabulary, and Salai's face turned pale.

"En… Isaac, it's alright… Oh, right, don't go to the Village Chief's house today.

Go play in the mountains today and see how our rice is growing.

I'll talk to the Village Chief, okay?" Salai said with a smile.

Young Isaac didn't understand why his mother was giving him a day off, but as a Child, he naturally didn't think too much when he heard he could play.

Isaac shouted "Long live Mama!" and ran off.

After Isaac left, Salai sat weakly in a chair.

"I hope… it's nothing serious."

Isaac was very happy in the mountains.

He observed the dragonflies flying in the rice paddies.

Isaac found that as long as he concentrated, the things he observed would slow down significantly, and he could even see their internal structure, like the eggs inside this dragonfly.

After observing the dragonfly for a while, Isaac glanced in the direction of the village.

He saw the ship docked at the pier, and several people in very handsome black clothes walked off it.

The villagers were all watching, but they weren't frantically fleeing as they would if they encountered pirates.

It seems it should be alright.

The island's mountain wasn't large, nor did it have any large animals.

Isaac found a nest of baby rabbits, which he, Amy, Kla, and Beats were raising together.

Speaking of which… Kla said she was their leader, and Amy said she was also their leader, so who was the real big sister in the end?

It should be Amy, Amy is taller… Isaac observed the baby rabbits, clearly seeing the blood flow and acupoints within their bodies.

"Isaac! Isaac!" Amy's voice came over, and Isaac came out of that state and looked at Amy.

"I-Isaac… th-those people… p-people… are taking… Auntie Salai." Amy was out of breath from running, speaking in gasps.

"What?" Isaac closed his eyes.

He saw a lewd-looking man with a cigar in his mouth forcibly pulling his mother into his arms, while his mother was struggling fiercely.

Kla's father had been shot in the chest, blood pooling on the ground, and Kla was wailing beside him.

The kind old Village Chief lay nearby with a bloody hole in his forehead, and Uncle Kahn's left arm had also been shot.

"Mama! Village Chief! Uncle Kahn!" Isaac was frantic.

He pushed off with his legs and, to Amy's astonished gaze, shot out like lightning.

To get down the mountain, he simply jumped down, a drop of seven or eight meters!

However, Isaac was unharmed and rushed towards his home without losing speed.

"The… the Village Chief wants you… to stay on the mountain obediently…" Amy was completely emotional.

This guy ran so fast?!

"Heh heh, little beauty, this young master is the son of a high-ranking Government official.

You won't lose out by following me~"

Lux was completely excited.

He had originally been unwilling to undertake this mission, but now he was extremely grateful to his superiors for assigning him the task.

It was rare to encounter such a stunning beauty!

Looking at her figure, her face, Lux had been with countless women of all types, but he had never seen anyone so beautiful.

The villagers and the CP Agents were in a standoff.

Although one villager and the Village Chief had already been killed, this did not make the villagers retreat!

The village had been established for over a hundred years, and the villagers were all old acquaintances.

The old Village Chief had no children, and it could be said that all the young people in the village had eaten and studied at his house.

Now that the Village Chief had been killed, their anger was uncontrollable!

And there were Salai and her Child; although they had only moved in a few years ago, Mrs. Salai was gentle and kind, and the villagers had long accepted them, not to mention Isaac, the adorable Child who had grown up in the village since he was little.

"You bastards!" A villager charged forward.

The CP Agents defended themselves; after all, these people hadn't completely lost their humanity, and directly attacking civilians caused them some psychological burden.

For a moment, the scene became chaotic, and Lux grew a bit impatient.

He raised the pistol in his right hand and fired three shots into the sky.

"Bastards! What are you doing? Quickly eliminate these troublemaking rioters!" Being of noble birth, he already detested these commoners.

Lux tried to drag Salai onto the ship.

Although Salai resisted with all her might, even if Lux was a CP9 Agent who got in through the back door, how could an ordinary woman like her stand against him?

"Bastard! Let go of my Mama!" A figure like lightning streaked over.

Before Lux could react, he felt as if he had been hit by a train and was sent flying directly.
