Chapter 4 - Fighting Instrument? Wrong! It's the Fighting Evolution Instrument!

The Panlong (Dragon) Ship, hurtling through space near the Bo Ge Nuo Star, finally arrived at its destination.

"All systems nominal, we've arrived at the Bo Ge Nuo Star!" Yin Qi announced, adjusting the instrument panel.

"Hey!" Xiong Ye called out over the comms, starting his transmission. "This is the spaceship Panlong (Dragon), requesting permission to dock with the central control station of the Bo Ge Nuo Star. Over."

However, the comms remained silent. There was only static, echoing across the void. Still, there was no response.

Seeing this, Xiong Ye quickly tapped at the keyboard and said, "The star's information shows no abnormalities in data and environment. Even the artificial satellites are not operating."

"What's going on with this planet?" Yin Qi asked.

The captain pondered for a moment before issuing orders to the crew. "Prepare for landing! We must investigate the situation on the Bo Ge Nuo Star."

"Aye!" Understood.

Bo Ge Nuo Star, in a rugged hilly area.

Leo stood with his arms crossed, his chin resting on his hand, staring at the two monsters in front of him. One was Gomora, and the other was the ice-cold monster Peggy.

The ice-cold monster Peggy, a monster from the polar regions of the planet, had a pair of short horns. Its body was covered in a rough membrane, and it could fly. Its signature move was spitting out freezing rays from its mouth.

In terms of combat power, this guy was no match for Gomora. What bothered Leo was that it seemed like this guy was trying to provoke Gomora. It kept harassing Gomora from the air, constantly spitting freezing rays to interfere with Gomora's movements.

"This guy's combat awareness isn't bad. It's just that there's a huge difference in strength between these monsters. It's a pity that I can't take it in."

Leo looked at the [Capture/Summon] option on the Fighting Instrument's screen, feeling a bit regretful.

"Gomora, use your attack plan." Leo spoke to Gomora, communicating through mental telepathy.

Leo had mastered the skills of Leo's combat techniques, and he was thinking: Monster communication through thought, and the ability to surpass the limits of the Super Vibration Wave.

"Gah!"

Gomora seemed to be angered by Peggy's incessant buzzing, and roared as it charged forward, both feet aimed at Peggy in a leap!

Seeing this, Peggy quickly flapped its wings, barely dodging Gomora's leap attack, and then adjusted its flight path in mid-air, firing a beam of freezing rays at Gomora.

"Zzz!"

At the critical moment, Gomora raised its left arm to defend.

The freezing ray hit Gomora's left arm, which was quickly encased in ice.

"Boom!"

"Gaaah!"

The giant Gomora fell to the ground with a thud, sending a shockwave that shattered the surrounding rocks. Gomora let out a painful cry from its mouth, struggling to get back up, but its movements were slow.

Peggy's eyes narrowed, and a beam of freezing rays quickly gathered in its mouth, aimed at Gomora.

The beam struck, and a layer of cold mist quickly spread over Gomora's body. Just as it managed to get up, it was frozen solid, becoming a giant block of ice.

"Hiss!"

Seeing that Gomora was completely frozen, Peggy let out a joyful hiss and began to approach the ice block, ready for a meal.

Leo watched Peggy getting closer and closer to the ice block that contained Gomora, silently calculating the distance.

Five hundred meters,

One hundred meters.

Two hundred meters.

Three hundred meters.

Zero distance!

"Gomora, use the Super Vibration Wave!" Leo issued the combat command to Gomora.

Along with his order, the Gomora, which had been sealed in an ice block, began to gather energy in its two horns.

The energy, which was originally gathered in the body, quickly gathered at the tip of the horns, and then transmitted to Gomora's body.

In the next moment, Gomora's Super Vibration Wave was released in a straight line, helping to completely destroy the bottom of the ice block, and blasting the surrounding soil away.

At that moment, Gomora's surroundings began to rapidly vaporize into a meat-like, icy mist, becoming thin and brittle.

"Gah!"

Gomora swung its claws, tearing through the ice, and the mist rose with it.

Amidst the rising mist, Gomora charged forward with heavy steps, its low growl accompanied by the sharp horns on its snout, aiming for Peggy's abdomen.

As the energy from its horns transferred to the sharp tips of its snout, Peggy's surroundings rapidly turned red, as if about to explode in the next second.

"Gah!"

Gomora roared at Peggy's surroundings, flinging them into the air, and swung its arms.

Boom!

With a bang, the Fighting Instrument screen showed a final value of [0/0]!

Leo stared at the Fighting Instrument with wide eyes.

He had crossed over to this system, relying on the only thing he had: the Fighting Instrument.

At this moment, he focused his eyes on the screen of the Fighting Instrument, and under his gaze, the horizontal line within the [0/0] parentheses began to disappear.

Following that, a ball of red light began to appear on the screen. Beside the [0/0] brackets, a floating "+" sign appeared in the upper right corner.

Seeing this sign, Leo subconsciously reached out his hand, but unexpectedly, the Subspace of Gomora began to flash with red light, as if it were jumping!

"What's this?"

Leo raised his head to look at Gomora, although they were separated by a hundred meters, his vision at this moment seemed to be able to penetrate everything. He could even clearly see Gomora's eyes and the desire within them!

"Ready, Gomora?" Leo communicated telepathically.

As he finished speaking, the usually calm Gomora suddenly became restless.

Seeing Gomora's reaction, Leo didn't dawdle. His fingers landed on the red button on the Fighting Instrument's screen, and he swiped to select Gomora's data block.

In an instant, Gomora's data block in Subspace turned blood red!

A split second later, the Fighting Instrument immediately spewed out a massive amount of red energy, which converged towards Gomora, and a sudden sense of difference caught Leo off guard.

The red energy approached Gomora's body and began to merge.

Leo's eyes instantly widened in disbelief. He could clearly see the blood-red energy merging into Gomora's body, and the brown color of his scales turned blood red!

The sharp horn on his nose slowly extended, revealing a glint of cold, bone-white light!

Roar!

Seeing Gomora evolve, Leo was overcome with a surge of joy! He recognized what this evolution meant, and he thought:

Ancient monster Gomora, Brutal Type!

A special type within the Gomora species, far stronger than ordinary Gomora!

Moreover, this evolution came with a temporary, complete power-up, which should be very powerful.

All of this evolution was due to the Fighting Instrument.

Looking at the Fighting Instrument in his hand, Leo seemed to understand its function.

"This Fighting Instrument, it seems like... a Fighting Evolution Instrument!"

Gomora, after absorbing that energy, was about to unleash the energy contained within in an explosion and let out a triumphant roar to celebrate.

"Boom!"

The sky suddenly rumbled, and a dull sound echoed through the air!

Leo and Gomora both looked up and saw a huge spaceship, the Panlong (Dragon) Ship, crashing down towards them!

"Panlong (Dragon) Ship?" Leo tilted his head, finally realizing that the only thing left of the species on the planet was the base. Was it too cheap to land in this way?
