Chapter 200 - Chapter 200: Roy's Shocking Entrance!

Chapter 200: Roy's Shocking Entrance!

Just as Roy prepared to depart from Punk Hazard, the warship slowly turning toward the direction of Loguetown in the East Blue—

Loguetown · Marine Branch Backyard

The afternoon sun spilled over the courtyard walls, dappled tree shadows swaying.

A few sparrows chattered on the old locust tree at the edge of the yard, as if spying on the human commotion.

With a THUD, a not-too-loud noise broke the courtyard's calm.

Usopp's "Tactical Tool Bag" rolled several times on the ground, spilling a pile of miscellaneous gadgets.

Simultaneously—

"Oi!! Curly-brows!! Why did you kick my tool bag away?!!"

A gentle breeze brushed past the wooden stake at the edge of the backyard. A sparrow landed on a treetop, just letting out a chirp, when it was startled into flight by a furious roar.

Thirteen-year-old Usopp stood with hands on his hips, his long nose almost crooked with anger, pointing furiously at the blond boy not far away.

Fifteen-year-old Sanji leaned lazily against a stone pillar, a cigarette dangling from his mouth. He didn't even glance at him, his tone dismissive. "If you leave it on the ground, isn't it meant to be kicked? Besides, I was training my legs just now. Who told you to leave your stuff lying around?"

"You have to use your eyes even when training your legs!! That was my carefully prepared Sniping Tactical Bag!!!"

Usopp picked up the bag in a rage, shouting while patting off the dust, "There's a slingshot, sleeping powder, ropes, signal flares, and a precious frog specimen inside!"

Sanji raised an eyebrow, mocking, "Frog specimen? Are you a bounty hunter or a museum curator?"

Usopp puffed out his chest, expression proud. "I am the brave and fearless Sniper King · Usopp! With this gear, I can drive away ten blind hooligans in ten seconds!"

"Is that so?"

Sanji blew a smoke ring. "Then why did the brave and fearless you climb a tree crying 'Mommy save me' when scared by a stray cat just now?"

"That wasn't crying!! That was conducting high-altitude reconnaissance!! And 'Mommy save me'—is my tactical command!"

"Tactical command my foot."

Sanji rolled his eyes. "Also, don't always look like a bullied little wife. It makes me want to give you a kick."

"Who are you calling a little wife?!!" Usopp fumed, smoke coming out of his nostrils. "You curly-browed pervert who whistles at passing women all day have the nerve to talk about me?"

"Hah?! That's a gentleman's greeting, okay? At least I'm better than a brat like you who relies on bragging for introductions?!!"

"What did you say?!!"

"Wanna fight?!!"

The two pressed their foreheads together, arguing more fiercely, the smell of gunpowder filling the air.

"Oi! You two brats!!"

Smoker, walking over from not far away, couldn't stand it anymore and roared angrily, "Go argue at the front gate if you want to argue!! Who's gonna pay if the backyard tiles break?!"

"...Oh."

"...Tch."

The two boys huffed in unison and turned their heads away at the same time.

Usopp hugged his "Tactical Tool Bag," muttering softly, "One day, I'll let you know how accurate my sniping is..."

Sanji curled his lips. "With those skinny arms and legs, you struggle even stirring cream, let alone sniping~"

Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows. Their shadows overlapped and stretched on the ground—

Seemingly incompatible like fire and water, yet looking exactly like "frenemy partners" drawn together by fate.

Tashigi stood nearby, facepalming and sighing as she watched the two boys bicker. "How can they argue like this after only meeting for a day..."

Smoker bit his cigar, huffing with a dark face. "Brats are trouble~"

"Alright, stop arguing."

He exhaled a thick cloud of smoke. Though his voice wasn't loud, it silenced the scene instantly like a military order.

"I've already notified Roy. He should be rushing back from the New World soon."

"New World?"

Usopp and Sanji froze, looking at each other. "What kind of place is that? Is it far?"

Tashigi looked at their puzzled eyes and pushed up her glasses, explaining patiently, "Vice Admiral Roy said he is currently in the first half of the New World."

"If the warship travels at top speed... it will probably take about two or three weeks to arrive."

"Two or three weeks?!!"

Both boys widened their eyes simultaneously, almost jumping up. "We have to wait here for two or three weeks?!!"

Smoker "hmphed," grinning as white smoke puffed from his cigar. "Idiots, Tashigi was talking about the speed of a normal warship."

He looked up at the sky outside the courtyard, his gaze deep, tone low but carrying a hint of mystery. "If it's Roy... he's probably almost here."

As his words fell, Tashigi, Usopp, and Sanji were all stunned!

The next second—

The skylight dimmed abruptly.

As if a massive shadow instantly obscured the entire sky, the sunlight was torn apart. The sky above Loguetown seemed to fall into an oppression like dark clouds bearing down on the city!

"BOOM—!!!"

A roar like the descent of a thunder god fell from the sky. Accompanied by the low hum of spatial distortion, the air pressure in the entire backyard collapsed!

Violent winds howled with the loud noise. Leaves, dust, and tiles flew wildly. The flags by the courtyard wall danced madly, and even the air seemed to tremble!

"Waaahhh—!!" Usopp's legs went soft. He scrambled to hide behind a stone pillar hugging his tool bag, face pale. "Is... is this the end of the world?!!"

Sanji's brows shook violently. His cigarette was blown away, blond hair fluttering messily in the gale. He looked up with disbelief written all over his face. "This... are you kidding me?!!"

The "black shadow" that blotted out the sun slowly revealed its outline—

It was a giant Marine warship!

The warship hovered silently above Loguetown, as if it had "slid out" of a spatial rift out of thin air. Eerie spatial ripples and lightning arcs lingered around the hull!

It had no roar of engines, yet possessed a more terrifying, silent oppression.

In that moment, the sky above Loguetown was dead silent, save for the howling wind echoing in the fields.

Tashigi's glasses nearly slipped off, pupils trembling violently. "Only... only how long has it been... He's here already?!!"

"It hasn't even been half an hour since hanging up the Den Den Mushi!!!"

Her eyes twitched frantically. "I heard Vice Admiral Roy's ability was insane... but this is too exaggerated!!!"

Veins popped on Smoker's forehead, his whole face screaming "Don't cause trouble."

"OI—!! ROY!!!"

He looked up and roared, "Don't make such a big scene in Loguetown!! You'll scare the civilians!!!"

Answering him was an invisible wave of Haki descending from the sky like a tide!

At the bow, Roy stood in the center, straight as a spear, carrying the fierce wind on his back. His Justice coat rolled in the airflow like a fluttering battle flag.

Behind him, Kuina's eyes were cold as ice, hand gripping the "Wado Ichimonji," posture upright, aura sharp and steady;

Zoro leaned against his three swords, gaze sharp as a blade, like a slumbering Asura.

With the three standing there, their auras intertwined like unsheathed blades, chilling before a word was spoken!

The oppression pressed down like a mountain range, as if three divine weapons hung in the air, suppressing the entire field!

Usopp and Sanji were completely stunned in that moment, mouths gaping, unable to speak.

Roy's lips curled slightly. Looking down at the people below, his voice fell in the wind:

"Oi~ Smoker."

"Long time no see."
