Chapter 3 - Neighbor / Name

Ah…I'm so fucked.

After finally putting two and two together, the first thing that Liohime realized was that his client's Magical Beast had been calling him her Master the entire time.

Every hotel got the cuck chair, I guess.

What the fuck do I do here…? He thought.

No even more than that…what exactly was this beast-girl in front of him? According to his knowledge, Common-Tier and Rare Tier Magical Beasts do not have a human form at all.

So what the hell was this?

He narrowed his eyes as he remembered the unusually bright reaction that came out of that egg when he first saw it.

At this point, he felt that the more the thought hard about her existence, the harder it became to gain answers. A lot was on his mind already, and he was still very tired.

If I think for too long now, I'll definitely get a headache.

That's me five minutes into a study session.

Anyway, before he could think of what to do next, the chime of a doorbell rang out.

"Someone at the door, at this time?" Liohime asked. "Wait, what time is it, anyway?"

He eyed the wall clock adjacent to him.

Half past eleven, in the night.

Gulping, he stood up, unsure of if he was ready to face something that was probably another problematic situation.

"Beast-Girl, stay here, and don't make any noise."

"Eh? O-Okay, Master…"

The young woman with horns and pointy ears nodded and remained in position while Liohime quickly entered his bedroom and changed into his pajamas in less than thirty seconds, leaving his former saliva-stained clothes on the floor as he ran towards the door and checked the door peephole.

He bit the inside of his lip softly.

Of all people, she's here, now?

Opening the door only slightly to show only his head, he greeted the pink haired beauty with glasses.

Wearing a pretty red skirt held together by a black ribbon and a white translucent shirt along with a tight red bra that held her large cleavage firmly in place was the sixteen year-old neighbor, Tisha Marsey.

And beside her was her own Magical Beast, a small, plump-sized ram with fiery horns and glowing red eyes.

Tightening his grip on the doorknob, he spoke first.

"Hi Tisha....and hey, Michi."

Michi, the ram, seemingly made a scoffing sound and avoided his glance, so he kept his eyes on the woman in front of him and continued:

"What do you want, Tisha?"

What was meant to be a simple greeting was given a harsh tone and blunt wording, but the girl who was about the same height as him simply fondled with the large red ribbon tied onto her hair and replied with a calm voice.

"Sorry if it's a bad time, Lita."

"Oh…no, it's not that…"

Well, it partially was, but he just could not say that to her face.

"It's just that, a while ago," she responded, "I heard a bunch of loud noises over here and, well, you know…I just came to see if you were all right."

Quickly realizing that his audible panic over the beast form of the woman in his house had startled her, Liohime flinched, and noticing that, she edged closer only by an inch.

"L-Lita, Is everything ok-"

"Yeah, yeah," he interjected. "Everything's fine, don't worry about me, Tisha."

"Oh…ok…well then-"

A crash of breaking glass from behind Liohime interrupted the conversation.

"-hk."

T-That girl!! I told her to stay put!!

The confusion and worry in Tisha's face understandably grew, but-

"Sorry, that was probably my new pet just messing around, I gotta take care of that!"

Liohime cooked up a quick excuse on the spot.

"Oh, a pet! I didn't know that! What kind of pet? A Magical Beast, by chance? No, wait, you don't really like them..."

"Just a dog! Y-Yeah, it's a bit rough right now, and I probably have to clean up something that broke just now, so…"

"Right, sure thing….I'll leave you to it, Lita."

"Okay, goodbye, you two."

As he was about to close the door, though…

"I miss you."

He stopped in his tracks as he heard that statement, but avoided looking her in the face. Nevertheless, Tisha continued:

"And I miss us….…you know….feel free to text me when you get the chance. It's okay if you don't though, I totally understand."

And after a few seconds of silence, Liohime closed the door without replying, and ended the conversation.

He felt bad for not saying anything, but tried his best to shake off any regretful thoughts from his head. As soon as he turned around, though, he found himself face to face with a dark brown woman who stared at him dead in the eye with the distance between them being practically zero.

Startled, he could only shriek in fear, but instantly covered his mouth, and the woman furrowed her brows and pouted.

"Master," she condescendingly babbled, "Who was that woman? Your heart was racing when you were talking to her, wasn't it? I demand to know her identity. Let me know right now."

"W-What is it to you?" he questioned softly. "And what are you going to do with the answer?"

"I'll kill her."

"You need to seriously chill, you know!"

Turning his attention to the broken cup on the floor next to her and near the kitchen counter, he sighed and began to pick up the broken pieces.

"Anyway, we need to figure out what to do with you concerning my client. But all decisions and extensive thinking will be pushed for tomorrow. For now, before I go to sleep…"

He gave her a side-eye, to which she tilted her head.

"We need to settle on a temporary name for you," he stated.

"W-Woah, okie!"

And while sweeping all the splinters into a scoop and placing all the glass pieces in the bin, he came up with a name.

"Shihon. From now on, until you meet my client, you will be named Shihon."

"I love it, Master! But, I don't like the idea of seeing this 'client' of yours. It's not another woman that has your heart racing, is it?"

"H-Hey. Well, no…but we'll come to that situation when we come to it. For now, let's get to bed, Shihon. You can sleep with me."

Twirling with excitement on hearing her new name, Shihon could not contain her joy.

"Teehee!! Okay, Master! But, isn't asking me to sleep with you on the first day that we meet a bit too bold? I'll be fine with any position and treatment that you give me in bed, though!"

Oh, brother.

"N-Not in that way!" Liohime reprimanded her with a reddened face. "Sleep as in Sleeping! Sleeping!"

"...Man."

"Huh? How did your mood worsen so quickly!?"

Either way, it was a very eventful day for Liohime Kitagami from start to finish. And now with a new day on the horizon, what challenges will lie ahead of him?

Stay tuned, folks!

...Yeah, sorry, I won't say that shit ever again.

"And that's pretty much all the info that we got from all the witnesses involved, sir."

In a dimly lit room, in the middle of a solitary place unbeknownst to many, rested a figure in his office chair, his face hidden from the the messenger who concluded his analysis of the dire situation.

However-

"How amusing."

-He did not seem phased by it at all.

"S-Sir?"

"Thank you for the info and video evidence, but don't worry. I will talk to the branch manager to ensure that branch takes the necessary steps to reclaim a top tier security status. As usual, Polar Town, known for it's crime rate, is somehow still slacking off when it comes to security....anyway, that is all. You are dismissed."

"Yes, sir."

With the man whose face was hidden from the world in deep thought once again, he could only smile as his hand stretched out and his fingers gently caressed the screen that showed a fleeing figure detected by the heat sensor monitor replay of the warehouse section.

"Waste of time. Let's continue the Heavenly-Tier Project," he concluded.
