Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: My Legs Were Scared Weak

Uzumaki Yuka was severely injured, and the Kumo-nin squad leader was immobilized by her.

Yet Purple Cat was fixated on the Anbu's mission, where the primary objective was to prevent the leakage of sealing techniques.

Killing Uzumaki Yuka would indeed accomplish the mission.

But if he completed the mission, wouldn't he die too?

Sometimes Yōkō truly couldn't understand the thought processes of these Konoha ninja.

Every day in the Anbu, besides training, it was listening to lectures from captains at all levels, deeply brainwashing them that ninja are tools for executing missions.

Mission first – this principle was executed without compromise in the Anbu.

Just like in the original story when Kisame Hoshigaki completed his intelligence escort mission and ruthlessly killed all the intelligence squad ninja before the Konoha ninja arrived.

Chasing closely behind Purple Cat, Yōkō used Purple Cat's back to conceal his hand seals, preventing others from seeing.

Purple Cat's kunai stopped just 10 centimeters from Uzumaki Yuka's throat.

Like the Kumo-nin squad leader, his whole body stiffened, his joints locked by cursed seals.

Purple Cat was greatly shocked. Uzumaki Yuka had taken two sword wounds, yet she still had this much fighting power?

Uzumaki Yuka was also surprised, because this Self-Cursing Body Binding Seal wasn't cast by her!

Then, seeing Fox behind Purple Cat, Uzumaki Yuka thought of something.

No wonder Fox had been so attentive to her along the way – he must be from the Senju clan!

Such Uzumaki secret techniques were never passed on except to disciples or those they absolutely trusted.

For Fox to also master an Uzumaki clan sealing jutsu, he was one of their own. This was truly unexpected.

So when she was in danger, Fox didn't think about killing her, but first controlled Purple Cat.

Yōkō immediately charged at the Kumo-nin squad leader.

He thrust his kunai fiercely towards the Kumo-nin squad leader's heart.

The Kumo-nin squad leader was very strong and managed to break free from the seal set by the severely injured Uzumaki Yuka in time.

He raised his sword in an upward slash, aiming for Yōkō's wrist.

Facing a powerhouse like the Kumo-nin squad leader, who was at least Elite Chunin level, Yōkō felt he would die the next instant.

He had already used this month's resurrection; dying now would be permanent.

Yōkō pretended his legs went weak, his body dropping, coincidentally dodging the upward sword slash.

The kunai didn't hit the Kumo-nin squad leader's heart, but struck his abdomen instead.

Having succeeded with one strike, Yōkō threw himself to the ground and scrambled away, rolling and crawling.

What happened next was beyond his ability to participate; he had already done his utmost.

Yōkō's chakra reserve was average, and the seal binding Purple Cat also dissipated.

Purple Cat, facing the Kumo-nin squad leader right in front of him, had no choice but to deal with the Kumo-nin first.

The Kumo-nin squad leader quickly retreated, afraid of being hit by another sealing jutsu, and Purple Cat pursued him.

Yōkō, meanwhile, crawled to Uzumaki Yuka's side and began to stop her bleeding, applying medicine.

After simple treatment, Uzumaki Yuka's condition improved significantly.

Uzumaki Yuka grabbed Fox's hand, trembling but resolutely guiding it towards her own thigh.

Yōkō was surprised. At a time like this, is this appropriate?

Under Uzumaki Yuka's skirt, he felt around her thigh a few times and found a scroll tied there.

"Throw it! Throw it at the Kumo-nin! This is what the Kumo-nin want! It's also our secret weapon!"

Yōkō was secretly pleased. Saving the Uzumaki ninja was indeed the right choice; there were even unexpected gains.

He picked up the scroll and threw it with all his might towards the Kumo-nin squad leader.

Only then did Yōkō notice that Purple Cat was dead, having just been cut down by the Kumo-nin squad leader.

The scroll unfurled in the wind, shimmering with a golden light.

A sound of clashing chains and iron rings rang out. Dozens of chains tipped with spiked chain-projectiles shot out like a large net.

Yōkō hurriedly dropped flat to the ground.

Anyone standing nearby was either pierced or bound by the chains.

The Uzumaki clan's Adamantine Sealing Chains?

Had the Uzumaki clan actually turned their strongest seal, the Adamantine Sealing Chains, into a one-time use tool similar to explosive tags?

The Adamantine Sealing Chains were originally an advanced sealing jutsu that only the most talented members of the Uzumaki clan could learn, but now even ordinary clansmen could use them.

Yōkō quickly scrambled to his feet, throwing kunai one after another.

The immobilized Kumo-nin squad leader not far away died under the kunai.

Yōkō breathed a sigh of relief. The danger was finally over.

"Fox! Continue!"

Captain Antelope's shout startled Yōkō. He then realized that Captain Antelope was also bound by the chains, unable to move.

What a powerful sealing jutsu.

Kunai flew out one after another, accurately hitting the throats of all the Kumo-nin.

The battle ended. All 8 Kumo-nin were dead, the two male Uzumaki ninja were dead, and Purple Cat was also dead.

Yōkō stood beside Purple Cat's corpse, feeling some regret.

He had just started to feel some camaraderie with Purple Cat, and now Purple Cat had died here.

Purple Cat was also a civilian ninja, a cannon fodder like Yōkō.

Captain Antelope also walked over, saying with regret, "How did Purple Cat die first? A bit unexpected."

Yōkō and Horned Ox looked up simultaneously.

Wait, what?

Captain, what do you mean by that?

What exactly was your expected order? Who was supposed to die first?

Captain Antelope didn't answer, walking towards Uzumaki Yuka instead.

"Captain Antelope, please have Fox carry me back to Uzushiogakure as quickly as possible."

Uzumaki Yuka, lying on the ground, made the request.

From Captain Antelope's tense muscles, Yōkō could tell the captain seemed hesitant.

Wasn't Uzushiogakure Konoha's ally? What mission had the captain actually received?

Yōkō could accept the order to ensure Uzumaki clan ninja didn't fall into Kumo-nin hands, but now that the Kumo-nin were all dead, why the hesitation?

Only the captain knew the full mission details; members like Yōkō only executed specific commands.

That Adamantine Sealing Chains scroll was hidden by the captain on his back, with no intention of returning it to Uzumaki Yuka.

Captain Antelope finally said, "Alright, we'll head to Uzushiogakure immediately."

Yōkō carried Uzumaki Yuka on his back and set off towards Uzushiogakure.

During a rest on the road, Yōkō set Uzumaki Yuka down and carefully checked her wounds.

The wounds were healing well.

Looking at her thighs, there were no more hidden scrolls.

Last time he checked her thighs, he was only focused on the beautiful muscle lines and actually didn't notice Uzumaki Yuka had hidden a scroll on her other leg.

Seeing Captain Antelope walk away, Uzumaki Yuka leaned against Yōkō and whispered:

"I know you won't admit it, but you've learned the Uzumaki clan's secret technique, the Self-Cursing Body Binding Seal. You must be from the Senju clan, right?

I'll consider you one of our own then.

I beg you, help me return safely to the village.

Recently, there have been many rumors in the village. One of them is that after the Second Hokage, Lord Tobirama, died, Konoha no longer intends to honor the alliance pact signed between the Senju and Uzumaki clans.

The current Hokage isn't from the Senju clan; it's Sarutobi Hiruzen from the Sarutobi clan.

The attitude of Konoha people towards us is getting worse and worse. Only the in-laws of the Senju clan still uphold the contract."

Yōkō nodded slightly, pretending to agree.

However, if the captain ordered him to kill Yuka, he would turn around and deliver the killing blow without hesitation.

He couldn't beat Captain Antelope, so he had to obey him.

Yōkō was shocked by the sight of Uzushiogakure, standing still for a long time without moving.

Uzushiogakure... is this strong?
