Chapter 7 - Preparation

Yu Shi Lan felt much better after eating the porridge and now she was thinking about going to the few items needed for her preparation.

What would she need the most when the world changed?

Naturally it's resources.

While strength is also important, but Yu Shi Lan knew that it was impossible for her to rush her cultivation in such a short period of time.

She had to set her priority straight.

So she directly went to the market fair and looked around the stalls. The chance of finding a good jade in this kind of street market was a bit low, but with the small amount of money in her hand, Yu Shi Lan really couldn't afford going to a proper jewelry store to buy jade.

The pension from her father was enough for her to live a comfortable life, but it was not enough for luxurious life.

Coupled with the fact that the Wang Family had already wasted most of her money, the remaining amount was really pitiful.

'Let's just test my luck…'

After a while, Yu Shi Lan truly found a real good jade mixed among the other hair accessories.

"There are a lot of hairpins here." Yu Shi Lan looked at the items and fell into silence for a rare moment. While a jade hairpin is still an accessory and she could use it, but it was not very convenient.

After all, not many people were using hairpin in this day and age.

It was more convenient to use rubber band to tie one's hair instead of using hairpins.

"Yes, do you like them, young miss?" The man guarding the stall asked with bright smile. The items in his stalls are all niche items, so he didn't really expect to be able to get a customer so soon.

"Hmm… how's their quality?" Yu Shi Lan didn't answer directly and started bargained.

The two people started their tit for tat until they reached the agreeable price that both sides could accept. Even though it was a bit expensive, but Yu Shi Lan knew that the value of this hairpin was more than that.

After taking the hairpin, Yu Shi Lan looked at it carefully.

The hairpin itself was relatively small and it was made of jade. But there was a faint layer of brown paint covering the surface, making it look more like black iron hairpin.

In a way, Yu Shi Lan had taken a great advantage.

She carefully removed the jade pendant on the edge of the hairpin and then bought a chain from another stalls.

Once she had everything, Yu Shi Lan went to the buss stop ands down. Her hand moved slightly and Qi started to gather in her hand.

Due to the limited time, Yu Shi Lan was not even a rank 1 Qi Refinement Cultivator. Her talent was not very high and there was not enough time for her to cultivate for a long time. Moreover, she had long past the prime age to start cultivation.

Her second life, if that could be called a second life, was a cruel cultivation world.

She directly entered that world with her body and everyone told her that she was not suitable to become a cultivator because she's already too old.

Her growth was fixed and it was simply impossible for her to integrate the Qi into her body effectively when she had already become an adult.

Most children would start cultivation when they were young or at their teenage age because it was the prime time for them to start cultivation. When Yu Shi Lan entered that world, she was already 19 years old, no longer young anymore.

It took her a long time to be able to start cultivation and then worked hard to get resources and practice to reach the golden core stage.

Swish!

Infusing the Qi into the jade pendant, a faint carving was formed and then it stopped in the middle and Yu Shi Lan's face turned pale.

Not enough Qi.

But she couldn't wait until she reached the necessary rank.

Yu Shi Lan looked at the bus in front of her and slowly entered the bus while silently meditating to recover her Qi.

There was no time to waste.

She had to quickly recover her Qi and then continued her carve.
