Keifer's mansion had never been this loud.
Section E was everywhere—on the couches, on the stairs, half of them arguing about rooms while the other half was already raiding the kitchen.
"Fourteen people. FOURTEEN." Keifer muttered under his breath.
Felix clapped his hands. "Relax, groom-to-be. We're here till the wedding. You're stuck with us."
"Took you long enough to invite us," Rory added with a grin. "We thought you forgot Section E."
Cin, standing on a chair just so everyone could see him, announced proudly,
"From today, this house is officially Section E territory."
"Get down," Keifer said flatly.
Cin jumped down and pointed at him. "See? Married life already changed you."
Laughter exploded.
Blaster opened the fridge and frowned. "Bro, where's the food?"
"You eat like you're feeding a whole village," Eman said.
Cin nodded seriously. "True. He eats emotions too."
David entered just then, watching the chaos like a tired king.
Cin immediately ran to him. "Grandpa David, please control your grandchildren."
David sighed. "I already lost control the moment you all entered."
But no matter how noisy it got, there was one silence Keifer couldn't ignore.
Jay wasn't there.
She was at Angelo's house, following the ritual her family insisted on.
And even though Keifer agreed, it didn't make it easier.
He stood near the balcony, phone in his hand, rereading her last message.
"Take care. Don't let Section E burn the house."
A small smile appeared on his face.
"Missing her already?" Felix asked, leaning beside him.
Keifer didn't deny it. "She should be here."
Rory smirked. "Angelo would kill us if she was."
"True. Boss Angelo doesn't joke."
Keifer looked at his phone again.
Meanwhile jay
Jay sat on the bed, hugging a pillow.
The house was calm. Too calm.
Her tita was busy downstairs, Angelo was on a call, and her parents were discussing wedding rituals.
And Jay?
Her thoughts were with Keifer.
She imagined Section E teasing him, messing his house, pushing his patience.
She smiled softly.
He pretends he's strong… but I know he misses me.
Her phone buzzed.
Keifer:
House is chaos. Cin declared himself king. I need you.
Jay laughed quietly.
Jay:
Survive. I'll come back after the ritual.
Keifer stared at the reply longer than necessary.
Just a few days, he told himself.
Just a few more days.
Back at the mansion, Section E suddenly surrounded Keifer.
"Why are you smiling at your phone?"
"Jay?"
"She texted, didn't she?"
Keifer looked up, caught.
Cin gasped dramatically. "Guys. He's whipped."
"Shut up."
But he didn't stop smiling.
Because even with the noise…
Even with the distance…
Jay was still with him.
Keifer should've known.
The moment Section E went too quiet, it meant danger.
He was in the study, checking wedding files, when he noticed it—
no shouting, no laughing, no Cin yelling nonsense.
That was… suspicious.
He stepped out.
The living room lights were dim. Everyone was sitting in a circle like they were planning a crime.
"Why are you all sitting like that?" Keifer asked slowly.
Felix looked up. "Nothing."
Rory nodded. "Yeah. Nothing."
Cin smiled. That evil smile.
Keifer crossed his arms. "Say it."
Cin clapped his hands. "Okay, groom-to-be, listen carefully. We are doing something very important for you."
Blaster leaned forward. "Very romantic."
Eman added seriously, "Emotionally damaging but in a good way."
Keifer pinched the bridge of his nose. "I don't like where this is going."
Cin pulled out his phone.
"We're surprising Jay."
Keifer's head snapped up. "No."
Felix protested, "Why not?"
"She's at Angelo's house."
"Exactly," Rory said. "So she won't expect it."
"Angelo will kill us." Keifer said flatly.
Cin shrugged. "Worth it."
David walked in just in time to hear that.
"Worth what?" he asked.
Cin saluted. "Grandpa, we're planning a surprise for Jay."
David paused. Then sighed. "I'm too old for this."
Keifer tried one last time. "Stop. Please."
Felix put an arm around him. "Bro, relax. We're not kidnapping her."
Cin added, "Just emotionally attacking her with love."
Keifer groaned. "That's worse."
The Plan (Unfortunately Approved)
Plan:
1)Make a video message from Section E
2)Tease Keifer
3)Tell Jay how much she means to them
4)End with Keifer saying something romantic (forced)
Keifer: "I'm not doing that."
Cin: "You are."
They shoved him onto the couch.
"Start recording," Rory said.
One by one, Section E stood in front of the camera.
Felix: "Jay, if you're watching this, congratulations. You survived Keifer."
Blaster: "He acts tough but cries when you don't reply fast."
That's a lie." Keifer snapped.
Cin stepped forward.
"Jay, you are our mutya. Section E is loud, stupid, and annoying—but we protect our own."
The room went quiet for a second.
Then Cin turned the camera to Keifer.
"Your turn."
Keifer froze.
"Say something," Eman whispered.
Keifer looked straight at the camera.
"Jay… the house feels empty without you."
No teasing. No jokes.
Come back soon. I need you here."
Cin stopped recording.
For once, no one laughed.
Meanwhile – Angelo's House
Jay's phone buzzed.
A video.
From Cin.
She frowned. What are they doing now…
She played it.
By the time it ended, her eyes were wet.
She hugged the phone to her chest.
"They're idiots," she whispered with a smile.
And Keifer…
She missed him badly.
Back at the mansion, Cin wiped his eyes dramatically.
"Okay, never doing emotions again."
Keifer stood up. "If Angelo finds out—"
Felix interrupted, "Worth it."
And deep down…
Keifer agreed.
The video should've been the end of it.
It should've.
But this was Section E—ending things responsibly was never an option.
Cin was lying upside down on the sofa, staring at the ceiling.
"I feel empty."
Felix looked at him. "That's because you used emotions. Never do that."
Rory suddenly sat up. "Wait."
Everyone looked at him.
What if…" Rory grinned slowly, "…we make this wedding unforgettable?"
Keifer, who was peacefully drinking water, froze.
"Define unforgettable."
Blaster cracked his knuckles. "Legendary."
Eman adjusted his glasses like he was about to commit a crime.
"Memorable."
Cin jumped up. "ILLEGAL."
Keifer choked. "NO."
The Worst Idea Ever (Unlocked)
Cin pulled out a notebook.
"Operation: Mutya Madness."
Keifer stood up. "Sit down. Now."
Plan according to Section E:
Decorate Keifer's house with Jay's name everywhere
Create a fake proposal rehearsal
Make Keifer accidentally participate
Record EVERYTHING
"Why?" Keifer demanded.
Felix shrugged. "So Jay can see how whipped you are."
"I am not whipped."
Cin raised an eyebrow. "You smiled at your phone for five minutes yesterday."
Silence.
Rory clapped. "Motion passed."
Execution (Against Keifer's Will)
Within an hour, the mansion was destroyed.
Sticky notes everywhere:
JAY
MUTYA
QUEEN OF SECTION E
Blaster taped a banner across the stairs:
WELCOME BACK, FUTURE MRS. KEIFER
Keifer stared at it in horror.
"You're all dead."
Cin shoved a fake ring box into his hand.
"Practice."
"I'm not practicing."
Felix pressed record. "Too late."
Cin got down on one knee dramatically.
"Repeat after me: Jay, from the moment you—"
Keifer snapped, "I swear if Angelo sees this—"
Just then—
The doorbell rang.
Everyone froze.
Cin whispered, "Is that… death?"
Keifer's heart dropped. "If that's Angelo—"
Felix peeked through the camera screen.
"…Guys."
"What."
"It's a video call."
From Jay.
Keifer blinked. "What?"
Cin answered it.
Jay's face appeared on screen, confused.
"Why is my name all over your house?"
Everyone panicked.
"DON'T SHOW HER THE BANNER—"
"WHO PUT THAT THERE—"
"KEIFER YOU'RE ON CAMERA—"
Jay narrowed her eyes.
"…Why is Keifer holding a ring box?"
Keifer looked down.
He looked back at the screen.
Silence.
Then Jay laughed.
Not soft.
Not shy.
She laughed like she knew exactly who Section E was.
"You idiots," she said warmly. "You're going to get him killed."
Cin beamed. "Worth it?"
Jay looked at Keifer. Her smile softened.
"I miss you."
Keifer's voice dropped. "Come back soon."
She nodded. "Soon."
Angelo's voice echoed in the background.
"Jay, who are you talking to?"
The call ended instantly.
Everyone stared at Cin.
Cin slowly sat down.
"…Okay. Now we're actually dead."
Keifer exhaled.
"You just signed your own funeral."
But deep down…
He was smiling.
The mansion was silent.
Too silent.
No laughing.
No shouting.
No Cin.
Keifer stood in the middle of the living room, arms crossed, jaw tight. The banner was still hanging—mocking him.
"Sit," he said calmly.
That one word terrified them more than his shouting ever could.
Fourteen boys sat on the floor like guilty kids in a principal's office.
Cin tried to smile. "So… funny story—"
"Not a word," Keifer cut in.
David entered slowly, cane tapping against the floor. He looked at the decorations, the sticky notes, the fake ring box.
He sighed.
"Explain."
No one spoke.
David looked at Cin. "You."
Cin straightened up. "Grandpa… in our defense—"
"There is no defense," David said calmly. "You nearly caused a family war."
Felix swallowed.
Rory stared at the floor.
Blaster suddenly found the tiles very interesting.
Keifer finally spoke.
"Do you know what would've happened if Angelo walked in during that call?"
Cin whispered, "Death."
"Exactly."
Keifer's voice wasn't angry.
It was disappointed.
"That video… the banners… the call—you crossed limits."
Eman spoke softly. "We didn't mean to cause trouble."
Keifer looked at them. "I know. But intention doesn't erase consequences."
David nodded. "So here they are."
Everyone tensed.
David raised a finger.
"From today until the wedding—"
Cin braced himself.
"—you will all help."
Confusion spread.
"Help?" Felix echoed.
"Yes," David said. "Cooking. Cleaning. Wedding prep. No complaints."
Blaster gasped. "Cooking??"
"And," Keifer added, "no phones after 9 PM."
Cin clutched his chest. "That's inhumane."
Keifer finally smirked. "You earned it."
Rory groaned. "This is worse than jail."
David turned to Keifer. "If they mess up again—send them to me."
Everyone paled.
"Yes, Grandpa," they chorused.
Later That Night
Section E was in the kitchen.
Blaster burned something.
Felix argued with Eman over measurements.
Cin was sweeping… badly.
"This is karma," Cin muttered.
Felix glanced at Keifer, who was watching from the doorway.
"Still mad?"
Keifer shook his head. "No."
He paused.
"But don't ever put Jay in that position again."
The room went quiet.
Cin looked up seriously.
"We won't. She's our mutya."
Keifer nodded once.
That was enough.
Meanwhile – Angelo's House
Jay smiled at her phone when she saw a message from Cin.
Cin:
We're alive. Barely.
Keifer is scary.
Miss you.
She typed back:
Jay:
You deserved it. Behave.
She looked out the window, heart warm.
Just a little longer, she thought.
Then I'll be back.
