Chapter 50 - Chapter 50 Distorting Reality

Chapter 50 Distorting Reality

The portal burst open with a deafening roar, as if tearing apart the last barrier of the heavens. Darkness from the abyss surged forth from the rift, instantly engulfing everything around it. The warriors of the Silvermoon Federation were not yet fully aware that a true catastrophe had silently descended.

They had anticipated mechanized warfare, a massive, steel-clad enemy force pressing down on them with plundering intent. However, what emerged from the portal was not the enemy army they had expected, but an endless corrupting force from the depths of chaos.

The Rotten Abyss Curse erupted like a black tide, sweeping out from the portal. Rampaging, morbid flesh, rotting eyeballs, swollen organs, and bloody limbs tumbled in the air, as if a nightmare had taken root in reality. The appearance of these monsters was indescribable; they were not merely piles of flesh, but embodiments of corruption and collapse, products of the utter trampling of the laws of nature.

Eyes gleamed with a malevolent light that was too terrifying to look at; flesh and blood rotted, emitting a pungent stench; limbs were twisted beyond imagination, every inch a desecration of the natural order. Germs and poisonous gases permeated the air, turning every inch of the battlefield into a deathly gray; just breathing made one feel the warmth of life slowly fading away.

The Silvermoon Guardians' faces were filled with shock and confusion; they had never felt so helpless.

Without hesitation, the warriors wielded their longswords, magical flames erupting instantly, tearing through the air, yet like sparks falling on water, they touched no deeper root of the problem. The flames left no mark on the rotting flesh, having virtually no effect. Even when the corrupted monsters were burned to a crisp, the burned areas were quickly repaired by an inexplicable healing power, regenerating them as if they were still alive.

The Curse of the Rotting Abyss is virtually immortal. The existence of every monster within it is an endless nightmare; their vitality far surpasses mortal imagination. Even when crushed and reduced to a viscous liquid, they can instantly regenerate and continue their tireless advance.

In this corrupt land, nothing can restrain them. They never tire, know no fear, and only expand, devour, and spread unchecked.

The Silvermoon Guardians' hearts grew heavy; this terrifying power far exceeded their expectations. The corrupting force was spreading rapidly, plunging the battle into an unprecedented crisis. However, they did not despair. The Silvermoon Federation's guardians knew that, faced with such an enemy, they could ultimately only rely on a higher level of power to contend with the source of corruption.

Under the command of the Silvermoon Guardians, the high-ranking warriors began to gather their strongest power—"Elimination." This was not merely a skill, but the most destructive application of reality-distorting power wielded by the Silvermoon Federation. It was not a physical attack, nor conventional magic, but a distortion of reality itself, a power to utterly erase the existence of the enemy.

The high-ranking guards' hands swept through the air, unleashing a breathtakingly powerful energy surge. Like thunderbolts descending from the heavens, this surge of energy, carrying an irresistible pressure, swept across the entire battlefield. Each wave of energy tremor "removed" a portion of matter from existence, utterly erasing it, as if these corrupted creatures had never existed.

When the energy wave touched the corrupted creatures, their limbs instantly disintegrated, turning into nothingness and being completely erased from this world. Those beings, reeking of decay, could not withstand the power of a higher dimension and vanished instantly, utterly disappearing.

Even those monsters that weren't completely deleted can't be restored; their existence has been completely erased, leaving no trace.

Each "deletion" is like an ultimate purification. Space itself doesn't physically distort, but matter is forcibly erased and completely eliminated by an incomprehensible force, leaving no trace. This force is more powerful than any physical attack; it dissolves all traces of corruption and completely severs the enemy's possibility of rebirth.

As the high-ranking guards cast "Delete" time and again, the number of Rotten Abyss Curses decreased dramatically. The Moonshadow Priests silently exerted their power, continuously providing energy to the "Delete" spells to amplify each wave of precise strikes. Their prayers grew increasingly urgent, as if every verse was a call for the end of this catastrophe.

As time passed, the corrupting power of the abyss finally began to recede before the power of "deletion." The initially unimaginable, boundless spread began to be gradually suppressed, and the monsters that had stubbornly revived could no longer expand. Their power gradually collapsed in the face of distorted reality.

The warriors' eyes grew increasingly resolute, their steps more steady. With the precise coordination of the high-ranking guards and the Moonshadow Priests, the rhythm of the battle gradually shifted, each "deletion" altering the course of the war.

Although the power of corruption remains strong, its rate of expansion can no longer compete with the "delete" of the high-ranking guards.

The Silvermoon Federation's army has regained the initiative on the battlefield.
