Chapter 5 - CHAPTER 5 — Mo Tien Wang

He Xiao Sing, afraid of being discovered, quickly prepared to teleport again. But before she could leave, a loud roar suddenly echoed from behind the stone wall.

"W–Who's there?!"

He Xiao Sing asked nervously. She was startled by the sound, which resembled the howl of a wild beast.

After waiting for a moment, the roar sounded again—this time even louder than before.

Curious, He Xiao Sing slowly approached the stone wall. But when she was only half a meter away, her body was suddenly thrown backward.

"Ouch!!"

She accidentally scraped her hand on the stone floor as she fell, causing blood to flow from the wound.

As usual, her wound healed almost instantly. Still curious, He Xiao Sing approached the wall again—this time more cautiously. When she was close enough, she stretched out her hand to touch the wall.

CRACK!

This time, she wasn't thrown back. Instead, the stone wall suddenly opened up.

He Xiao Sing was stunned. She hadn't expected the wall to open like that. Driven by curiosity, she decided to step inside the space beyond the wall.

The room behind the wall was pitch-dark, without a single source of light. He Xiao Sing was forced to use fire magic to illuminate her surroundings. She continued walking down a long corridor until she finally reached an open chamber.

The room had no roof, allowing sunlight to stream in. The walls were covered in moss and climbing vines. But what caught He Xiao Sing's attention the most was the massive tree growing at the center of the chamber.

Bound to that tree was a man. He had long, white hair and an extraordinarily handsome face. Despite his tattered clothes, his body radiated strength and allure. He was tall and muscular—his entire appearance was mesmerizing. Yet one thing about him stood out as strange: his eyes glowed a deep, crimson red—completely unlike those of a human.

The man was just as startled to see He Xiao Sing. After nearly eighty years of being imprisoned there, she was the first person he had seen.

"Little girl, who are you? How did you get in here?"

he asked curiously. He knew this place was sealed by an ancient magic formation—no one could enter unless the seal was broken. Seeing her appear so suddenly, the man began to think of a way to use her presence to escape.

"U–um… Uncle, I came here by accident. The stone wall suddenly opened when I touched it. I was curious, so I came in…"

He Xiao Sing answered honestly. Having never interacted with the outside world, she was completely without suspicion. She even walked closer to the man out of curiosity.

"Uncle, why are you bound to this tree? And why are your eyes red? Are your eyes hurting?"

She asked innocently, unaware that the man before her was no ordinary human.

"Hahaha! Little girl, you're the first person who's ever dared to speak to me like that. My name is Mo Tien Wang. I'm bound here because I am of the Heavenly Demon Clan. And as for my eyes… they're not hurting. I was born with them this color."

He Xiao Sing listened with fascination. It was her first time seeing a real demon. In her eyes, Mo Tien Wang didn't look frightening at all. Aside from his red eyes, he looked no different from an ordinary human. In fact, if she were honest, she found him quite handsome.

"Uncle Mo, my name is He Xiao Sing. I'm happy to meet you!"

Having lived her life in isolation, He Xiao Sing was delighted to finally meet someone new. She immediately regarded Mo Tien Wang as a friend.

"Xiao Sing, be honest with me—tell me exactly how you managed to get in here."

Mo Tien Wang asked again, still curious. He was sure something unusual had allowed her entry.

He Xiao Sing then told him everything—from the moment she was thrown back, to when she finally managed to enter. As she spoke, she accidentally revealed the trace of blood still on her hand.

"Why is your hand bleeding?"

Mo Tien Wang's sharp eyes immediately focused on the blood on her palm. Narrowing his gaze suspiciously, he caught a faint floral fragrance from it.

"Oh… that's from when I fell earlier. But my hand's fine now."

He Xiao Sing showed him her palm to prove she was fine.

Mo Tien Wang stared at her hand for a moment, then suddenly extended his tongue and licked the blood. The moment he tasted it, his entire body froze. Then, without warning, he burst into loud laughter.

He Xiao Sing felt ticklish when Mo Tien Wang licked her hand and instinctively pulled it back.

"Uncle Mo, why are you laughing after licking my hand? Is something wrong with it?"

She examined her hand carefully. It seemed completely normal to her, and she couldn't understand why he reacted that way.

"Hahahaha! Xiao Sing, there's nothing wrong with your hand—the problem lies in your blood. I never expected to meet another bearer of Pure Yin Blood. I'm truly fortunate, hahahahaha!"

He Xiao Sing was shocked by his words. Until now, only her master, foster father, and foster grandfather knew that secret. Now that someone else had discovered it, she couldn't help but feel anxious. She feared Mo Tien Wang might reveal her secret to others.
