Chapter 14 - Who is the villain here?

The tense moments preceded the teacher's entry, but what happened next was unexpected for anyone in the classroom. Suddenly, the door burst open violently, revealing Teacher Baek, with signs of exhaustion and agitation on his face. He looked around with bloodshot eyes, then exploded shouting:

"What are you fools doing? Are you fighting in the classroom? Is this how you behave in a crucial school year?"

His voice echoed throughout the hall, and silence prevailed for a moment. But Bora wasn't the type to be easily scared. She stood up with complete insolence, her hand on her hip, and replied in a voice full of defiance:

"Teacher Baek, why are you so upset? Let me ask: Is your debt problem stressing you out this much?"

Everyone stopped breathing. Even the air seemed to freeze in place. Teacher Baek, who was preparing to deliver an angry lecture, froze as if struck by lightning. For a moment, everyone thought he would explode with anger, but instead... he started laughing.

He laughed in a strange way, a hollow laugh devoid of emotion, as if trying to hide his embarrassment. Then he said in a tired voice:

"Ah... sorry, I think you're right. I guess I'm really tired."

Bora laughed lightly, but her laughter was full of sarcasm and contempt. She looked at the teacher with fake eyes, as if telling him "I know you're weak, and I know you can't do anything to me." Then she returned to her seat with complete confidence.

At that moment, Yuna remembered everything. This girl... Bora. She was the same girl who hated Aren intensely in the original story. Not because Aren wronged her, but because all the men loved her kind and innocent personality. Bora was boiling inside every time she saw how the boys looked at Aren with admiration.

But what was more dangerous was that Bora's family possessed enormous influence, even stronger than Aren's prestigious family. Everyone feared her, everyone knew that if she wanted to destroy someone, no one could stand in her way.

In the original story, Bora coldly exploited Yuna. She made her commit dirty acts against Aren, and laughed secretly at those actions. She enjoyed watching others fight like puppets while she held the strings from behind.

Her ending was tragic, as Yuna remembered. At the end of the story, Bora shot Aren after discovering that the main male lead, Jae Hyun, loved Aren and not her. But the bullet didn't hit Aren in a dangerous spot. In the end, Bora committed suicide before they could catch her. It was truly a heartbreaking end, but Yuna felt she deserved what happened after everything she had done.

Eric's voice cut through Yuna's train of thought. He was standing next to Aren, confusion apparent on his face. He never expected Bora to use her influence in such a brazen way. He knew Bora was powerful, but he didn't think she would go as far as manipulating everyone publicly.

Hye Jin looked at Aren with utter contempt and said loudly:

"I told you. You can't do anything. You're just an ordinary girl with no power against us."

The words were like poisoned arrows piercing Aren's heart. But before she could respond, Bora intervened again. She looked at Eric and said with a cunning smile:

"Eric, let my little Hye Jin play a bit with Aren. Don't interfere in girls' affairs."

Aren looked at Eric with terrified eyes. She knew very well that Hye Jin wouldn't leave her alone. She had heard a lot about her dirty methods of humiliating others, and how she would wipe their dignity on the ground with pure sadism.

The Unexpected Surprise

Suddenly, the classroom door opened again. A student entered, panting, almost falling from running so fast. He looked around and then said loudly:

"Hye Jin! We found out who did this!"

Everyone stopped talking. Hye Jin turned toward him, curiosity showing on her malice-filled face. Before the student could finish speaking, she spotted a picture of Yuna, who was the last person to meet Hye Jin's boyfriend.

Hye Jin looked at Yuna with intense hatred and said in a raspy voice:

"You... you're the one who did this! You're the one in the picture!"

But Yuna wasn't afraid. She looked at the picture, then at Hye Jin coldly, and said with complete calm:

"So this is your boyfriend I met yesterday? It seems your taste in men isn't any different from your taste in everything else... very poor."

Inside Yuna's mind, she was shocked that this was the same person from yesterday, but she hadn't beaten him to that extent.

Hye Jin tried to approach Yuna, anger threatening to explode her. She wanted to tear apart that insolent girl, but she was surprised when she saw Yuna take a defensive stance. Yuna was completely ready to hit her if she came any closer.

Han Si-eul Intervenes

At that critical moment, everyone heard a strange laugh. Han Si-eul's laugh. She was laughing in a crazy and unexpected way, then said loudly:

"Yuna! Did you really hit her? You're truly my favorite friend! I knew you were strong!"

Then she suddenly turned toward Hye Jin, her tone becoming sharp and decisive:

"And you... Hye Jin. Why are you staring at her like that? Don't you need to go to your injured boyfriend in the hospital?"

Bora laughed from behind, enjoying the scene immensely. Then she added in her soft, poisoned voice:

"Yes, Han Si-eul's words are absolutely right. You should go now, you slut."

Hye Jin was truly scared. She never expected Han Si-eul to defend Yuna. Han Si-eul, the girl who had extensive connections inside and outside the school, who could destroy anyone's future in the blink of an eye. Hye Jin knew that Han Si-eul was a member of the student council, her popularity was immense, and her influence reached everywhere. She could spread rumors that would ruin any student's life.

Hye Jin left the classroom biting her fingers, then looked at Yuna and said in a trembling voice:

"You... you won't escape me next time. I'll make you pay dearly."

The Final Moment

In the moment Hye Jin was exiting the door, Bora picked up powder from the table and threw it at Hye Jin's head. White powder scattered all over her black clothes, leaving clear white stains.

Bora laughed loudly, then looked at Han Si-eul and winked cleverly. It was clear they had planned this scene together. Everything was agreed upon from the beginning.

Yuna looked at the entire scene and felt something strange. She knew Bora was dangerous, but she didn't expect her audacity to reach this level. She also didn't expect that Han Si-eul, who seemed crazy and indifferent, could be such a powerful ally.
