"First, let's heal the Glavenus's injuries, and then think about what to do next," Zhang said, stretching. He went out into the courtyard and released his new Acidic Glavenus and Radobaan, along with the severed tail of the Glavenus. He then released his Escuregot to heal them.
While the Escuregot was doing its work, Zhang opened the Glory Shop and purchased a Dietary Changing Agent. The potion was green and came with a half-meter-long needle, which looked quite scary. "This needle is terrifying. Good thing the monster is big enough," he thought. He aimed the potion at the Radobaan and injected the green liquid. The Radobaan's eyes grew redder and redder.
[Dietary Changing Agent successfully used!]
[The Radobaan's diet has been changed. Its digestive organs have become a carnivorous system.]
"Finally done," Zhang nodded in satisfaction. He released all his monsters. "Kuro, prepare food for everyone. Then we'll rest for two hours and go again."
After eating and resting, they set off again, riding on the Astalos.
"Master Zhang, are we going to Hakum Village?" Kuro asked.
"That's right," Zhang nodded. "I plan to catch a Gammoth. The other three of the Fated Four are here, and so is a Gammoth. I'm a little unwilling to leave it."
It didn't take long for me to follow Master Zhang, and my strength has already broken through,Kuro thought. I believe that in less than a year, Master Zhang and I will have power no less than that of an Elder Dragon. Sky-rending Dragon, you just wait. It won't be long before I come to you for revenge.
"Huh?" Zhang suddenly looked down at the ground. A strange-looking crab, black and blue and 12 meters long, was walking below. It had the skull of a Seregios on its back, and its forearms were not pincers, but blades like a praying mantis's, like two scythes.
"A Terra Shogun Ceanataur," Zhang recognized it. It was a subspecies of the Shogun Ceanataur, on the same ecological level as the Acidic Glavenus—an Elite Four-level monster. It was known as a loyal fan of the Seregios because it liked to carry its skull. It could use the skull to sharpen its claws with a Rigid Blade Grind, making them faster and sharper.
[Fair Duel Mission Triggered!]
[Mission Objective: Terra Shogun Ceanataur!]
[Mission Reward: 1 Glory Point]
Zhang smiled. He would have gone down to subdue the Ceanataur even without the mission. Now, he could get a glory point as well.
Hiding behind a large rock near the Ceanataur was a young woman in a Scrivener's uniform, secretly observing it and writing in a notebook. Two hunters stood guard beside her, one with a greatsword and one with a light crossbow.
"Marisa, how's the observation? We can't stay much longer. We'll be found out," the hunter with the greatsword whispered.
"Right away, right away. Don't be in a hurry. The Terra Shogun Ceanataur is rare. It's hard to find. I must observe more and record more information," the woman replied, not looking up from her writing.
"Clack," the Ceanataur, which had been walking leisurely, looked up at the sky. It sensed danger.
"What happened?" the woman and her two guards wondered, looking up as well.
"An Astalos!" they gasped. They might be able to hide from the Ceanataur, but from an Astalos in the sky, they would be easily discovered.
"Someone's on its back!"
"Acidic Glavenus, it's up to you," Zhang said, throwing the Poké Ball.
BANG!
The tall Acidic Glavenus landed on the ground, shaking it. The Ceanataur was just a small point in comparison. When it saw the Seregios skull on the Ceanataur's back, a trace of anger rose in its eyes.
"A Seregios! A Seregios I've never seen before!" the woman from the Scrivener team said, her eyes fiery. The Acidic Glavenus was a monster unique to the New World; she had never seen one before. For her, it was like a glutton seeing a feast.
"What's the situation? A small ball held such a big Seregios?" the hunter with the greatsword said, shocked.
"It's him! I've heard rumors about him! He's the rumored Rider from Yan Huo Village! Zhang Tian!" the hunter with the light crossbow exclaimed.
"A Rider?" the woman frowned, touching her chin in thought.
The Glavenus put its tail to its mouth and began its Rigid Blade Grind. Seeing this, the Ceanataur knew it was being regarded as prey. It immediately became serious and began to grind its own claws on the Seregios skull. When the Glavenus finished, it strode forward, its momentum great.
SWISH! "Sulfur Crystal Chop!" Its huge tail flung out, and a layer of sulfur crystals rose from it, then exploded into a green smoke that scattered towards the Ceanataur. The crystals were very corrosive.
"Rampage!" The Ceanataur moved horizontally, as if teleporting, instantly dodging the attack and moving to the Glavenus's side. It swung its right arm, the sharp blade cutting through the air with a roar. The Glavenus immediately jumped sideways to dodge, and while still in the air, it brought its huge tail down in a "Side Jump Chop."
The Ceanataur's melee skills were powerful, but the Glavenus's were even more so. Both it and the Seregios had the title of "sword saint" among monsters, and it was not a title given lightly. The action was too fast, the angle too tricky, for the Ceanataur to dodge. It could only raise its left arm blade to block.
BANG!
The terrifying force of the Glavenus's tail instantly broke the Ceanataur's arm blade. The tail then chopped into the dirt, along with the broken blade. The Ceanataur was not a monster known for its strength. It was an agile fighter, like the Nargacuga.
"Hiss!" the Ceanataur howled in pain and retreated. This discolored Seregios was too strong. It wanted to escape. It burrowed into the ground, trying to get away.
If it had been before, the Glavenus would have had no way to stop it. But now, after being Pokémonized, it had learned a new skill: Earthquake.
BOOM! The Glavenus raised its right leg and stomped heavily.
RUMBLE! The mountains shook as if a small earthquake had occurred. The Ceanataur, underground, was seriously injured. To survive, it had no choice but to break through the ground. The moment it did, the Glavenus used Dragon Breath, spitting out a yellow-green stream of energy like a wave of fire.
BANG!
The Ceanataur was blown up by the Dragon Breath and passed out.
[Your Acidic Glavenus has fairly defeated the Terra Shogun Ceanataur!]
[You get 1 Glory Point!]
[Glory Point Balance: 5 Points]
Zhang rode the Astalos down from the sky and threw a Poké Ball. The Ceanataur was subdued after more than a dozen shakes.
[Successfully subdued the Terra Shogun Ceanataur!]

"Ignores 80% of enemy's defense. Not bad. It can hit high-defense opponents. The Ceanataur and the Glavenus are really similar. They are both real damage dealers," Zhang thought, satisfied.
"Friends, how long are you going to hide?" he said, turning to the rock where the three were hiding.
"Cough," the woman coughed lightly and walked out with her two hunters. "I have seen Your Excellency, the Rider. I am Marisa, a member of the Scrivener team in Hakum Village."
"Hello. Why were you hiding here?"
"I came to observe the Terra Shogun Ceanataur. I didn't expect it to be your hunting target," Marisa laughed.
"So that's it. Then I'm sorry. If I have a chance, I'll let you take a good look at it. I have something to do now, so I must leave," Zhang said apologetically.
"Wait a minute, Your Excellency, Rider. I want to make a deal with you," Marisa said, stopping him.
"A deal?"
"That Seregios of yours. I haven't seen one like it before. I want to study it well. Of course, it will not be harmed. If you agree, I can give you a lot of money."
"Miss Marisa, I'm not short on money. You'll have to offer something more valuable," Zhang shook his head.
"What do you want?" she frowned.
"The friendship of the Scrivener team. If I need your help in the future, you can't postpone it," Zhang said. Ordinary monsters were easy to find, but powerful monsters, especially Elder Dragons, were rare. When he had the strength of a third-tier god and wanted to capture an Elder Dragon, he would need the Scriveners' help. Only they would know where to find one.
"Yes," Marisa nodded. "As long as it doesn't violate the laws of the Scrivener team."
